With a creaking sound, Cao Wanzhi pushed his wheelchair over to me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

I forced a smile, looking at Cao Wanzhi.
"Have you given up already?"
Cao Wanzhi nodded.
"That's how this world is—some things just can't be changed. Go back, Ethan Zhang. I've decided to sleep here forever, quietly watching Grace Hu from inside this old camera."
I handed the photo to Cao Wanzhi, but inside, I felt deeply unwilling. Maybe I still had hope—maybe there was still a way.
