Journey to Chushade City

"Cheng'er, are you all right?" Faye Knox's first words were to Chase Chu, her face full of joy and concern; the anxious expression she wore before had vanished.

"Mom, I'm fine now. I'm not a waste anymore—I can cultivate normally! Look, I've already broken through to the Saint Martial Realm!" Chase Chu said with a smile.

Faye Knox checked Chase Chu's current cultivation. She hadn't thought much of it, but when she looked, she was so shocked she nearly couldn't speak. After just one day in the secret chamber, Chase had broken through several realms and now stood at Eighth‑Layer Saint Martial Realm. It was simply unbelievable.

She looked at Evan Chu in terror—her beloved man was practically a god. He was nothing but terrifying; in this world, there was nothing he couldn't do, and everything he did was earth‑shattering.

"Faye, Cheng'er, let's go outside. Whatever needs to be said, let's talk out there. Cheng'er has suffered a lot this time—just look at his lips, they're still torn. The pain he endured isn't something ordinary people could bear," Evan Chu said.

After leaving the secret chamber, the three of them arrived at the main hall. Night had already fallen. They hadn't expected to spend a whole day inside, and for someone's cultivation to leap so much in just a day—maybe only Evan Chu could make that happen.

The Grand Elder and Second Elder were still in the main hall. When they saw Evan Chu and the others enter, their eyes immediately locked onto Chase Chu. The moment they sensed his Saint Martial Realm aura, their eyeballs nearly popped out of their heads—the shock in their hearts was even greater than Faye Knox’s.

"Young master, you... you actually broke through to Eighth‑Layer Saint Martial Realm? My god, how is that even possible!" the Grand Elder couldn't help but exclaim.

"Nothing's impossible. With my dad around, anything can happen. Don't forget, he's a real powerhouse—and he's even ascended to the Immortal Realm," Chase Chu said with a grin.

"Cheng'er succeeded mainly because of his monstrous endurance. Let's celebrate his success today, but don't get arrogant—you need to work even harder. There's no such thing as a free lunch in this world. If you don't cultivate your qi‑sea, it will shrink, and you'll end up a waste again," Evan Chu said.

"I understand, Dad. Don't worry—I'll go into seclusion in a few days, and I swear I'll ascend before Lena Chu!" Chase Chu said seriously.

Evan Chu glanced at Chase Chu and asked, "Who is Lena Chu? Do you mean you have another little sister?"

"That's right, Lena Chu is Cheng'er's younger sister—she's your daughter, you know! Don't tell me you didn't realize you have another daughter in the Netherworld?" Faye Knox said at that moment.

Evan Chu was instantly startled, his face full of confusion as he looked at Faye Knox. "Wait, did you have twins? Where's my daughter? When did you get so amazing, giving me both a son and a daughter at once?"

Evan Chu's words made everyone burst out laughing, leaving him completely puzzled as to why they were laughing at him. Had he said something wrong?

"Evan, Lena Chu really is your daughter, but she's not mine—she's Princess Ivy's. Right now she's already Fifth‑Layer Venerable Martial Realm, and she's a super unruly girl, just like her mom. The Shade Clan folks get bullied by her all the time," Faye Knox said with a laugh.

Only now did Evan Chu realize he had such a formidable daughter. If Princess Ivy had a child, then Lillian Zhang probably did too—he'd made a point of looking after her before leaving the Netherworld.

"I know what you're wondering—Lillian Zhang also had a son with you, and he's even stronger. He should be at Sixth‑Layer Venerable Martial Realm by now, with talent just like yours. His name is Liam Chu. Are you planning to visit them?" Faye Knox asked.

"That's right. The reason I came to the Netherworld was to see you all. I can't believe you've all become so strong and given me sons and daughters—I really haven't been a very responsible father. Just thinking about it makes me feel ashamed," Evan Chu said helplessly.

"Dad, tomorrow I'll go with Mom to visit Auntie and the others with you—let them be happy for me too!" Chase Chu said.

"All right! Tomorrow we'll go visit Princess Ivy in the Shade Clan. Tonight, let's all just celebrate!" Evan Chu said with a smile.

The banquet lasted late into the night. Evan Chu shared some stories about the Immortal Realm, leaving the others alternately shocked and amazed—especially about his destruction of Skyshade Hall and his battle against Hector Vaughn. They all worried for him, but their respect for this peerless powerhouse only grew deeper.

After the banquet, everyone returned to their rooms. Evan Chu and Faye Knox had another bout of intimacy—naturally, it was Faye's idea. This time, though, it didn't last long; after Faye was thoroughly defeated, Evan called it quits.

Early the next morning, Faye Knox got up, quickly dressed and tidied herself, and when she and Evan Chu came out to the main hall, Chase Chu was already waiting there in white robes.

Faye Knox gave the two elders some instructions about city affairs, then left with Evan Chu and Chase Chu. Evan took the two of them by the hand and used instantaneous movement to soar through the air—the speed was so terrifying that Chase was left speechless, his desire for strength burning even brighter.

With Evan Chu's speed, they quickly arrived at the Shade Clan's royal city. The clan had rebuilt a new city called Chushade City, named in honor of Evan Chu.

At the city gates, the guards immediately recognized Faye Knox and Chase Chu. Even though Faye hadn't gone out much in recent years, she was still a famous figure in the Netherworld and the city lord—naturally, plenty of people knew her.

They let them enter the city without question. The guards were curious about the unfamiliar youth with Faye Knox, but since he was with her, they didn't dare ask.

Evan Chu took a look around Chushade City—it was even more bustling than Faye Knox's Moonwell City. There were more people, more vendors, and more impressive buildings everywhere. Maybe that's because this was the Shade Clan's real main city.

They'd barely entered Chushade City when a commotion broke out nearby—it sounded like a fight. Anyone bold enough to brawl in Chushade City must have guts; if Princess Ivy found out, they'd be in for heavy punishment.

Following the crowd, Evan Chu and the others arrived at the scene, where a young girl was pinning a middle-aged man to the ground with her foot. Her expression was full of disdain as she said, "You dare steal in Chushade City, and from me of all people? Do you even know where you are, or who I am?

How do you want to die? Should I hack you to pieces, cut off your head, or tear out your heart? My time is limited—I don't want to wait!"

"Miss, spare me! I swear I didn't steal anything—please, just let me go! I really didn't steal anything!" the middle-aged man on the ground begged, blood already trickling from the corner of his mouth.

Evan Chu frowned slightly, already guessing who the girl was. Faye Knox said, "Evan, that's your precious daughter Lena Chu. See how she's just like Princess Ivy used to be? That man obviously didn't steal anything—she's just trying to force a confession."
