Soul Jade Pendants

Evan Chu smiled, surprised by such good fortune. "If that's really the case, that's wonderful! Do you have any jade pendants on you right now? If so, I'd like to buy a few immediately!"

The middle-aged man glanced at Evan Chu and replied, "I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you, Sect Master Evan. I don't have any jade pendants on me right now, but if you're not in a rush, I can bring them here in half an hour!"

"Then I'll wait here for you. Please hurry back!" Evan Chu said.

The others looked at Evan Chu in confusion, unable to guess why he wanted jade pendants. Since they hadn't heard his earlier conversation, no one dared to ask, intimidated by his overwhelming strength.

Evan Chu didn't waste time. He walked around Prime Might Sect's grounds and found that many sect members had been killed before their blood was drained. Some were drained from the neck, others directly from the crown of the head—a truly horrifying scene.

This phenomenon made it clear that there was a hierarchy among the killers—the ones feeding from the neck were the weakest, while those consuming from the crown were the strongest.

Before long, the middle-aged man returned and approached Evan Chu. "Sect Master Evan, I've brought the jade pendants you asked for. Please take a look and see if they're to your liking."

The middle-aged man took out several jade pendants for Evan Chu to inspect. Evan couldn't tell what material they were made of, but he praised them as good quality.

"How many Starstones for these jade pendants? Name your price!" Evan Chu said.

"You're too kind, Sect Master Evan! Please accept these jade pendants as a meeting gift," the middle-aged man said.

Evan understood the man's intention—now that he was Frostbane Sect Master, many would try to curry favor. He smiled, "Then I won't refuse. If you ever run into trouble and need Frostbane Sect's help, feel free to come find me."

"Of course! Of course!" the middle-aged man beamed, delighted to have won favor with Evan Chu—even a few jade pendants were a small price for such a connection.

Evan Chu held the jade pendants, unsure how to proceed. Just then, Luna, the Sword Spirit, said, "Have these people wait here for you. Go to a secluded place and inject your divine sense into the pendants first."

Evan Chu turned to the crowd and said, "No one expected such a disaster. To prevent further bloodshed, please wait here a moment—I have something important to announce."

With that, Evan Chu teleported away at lightning speed, leaving the crowd stunned by how fast he vanished.

After Evan Chu left, the crowd began to discuss what had happened. Many envied the middle-aged man for gaining Evan's favor with just a few jade pendants, and all admired Evan's overwhelming strength.

Evan Chu stopped in a deserted spot and asked, "Luna, how do I infuse my divine sense into these pendants? Please teach me."

Evan Chu could be blunt with anyone, but not with Luna, the Sword Spirit. She didn't reply aloud, but a set of instructions appeared in his mind, teaching him how to infuse his divine sense.

After a moment, Evan Chu understood the instructions. Infusing divine sense meant splitting off a trace of his soul and attaching it to the jade pendant—a simple method, but one that caused a bit of pain.

Luna had taught him this method. Evan Chu looked at the jade pendants and began following her instructions to split his soul. With his current soul strength, it was easy to do.

Once Evan Chu split off a trace of soul power, he felt a sharp pain in his mind and a wave of dizziness. Even with his current strength, he nearly collapsed.

Evan Chu finally understood how serious soul injuries could be—even a small wound was agonizing. He realized just how devastating his Soul Rend technique could be against enemies.

Soon the dizziness and pain faded. Evan Chu followed Luna's instructions and infused his soul power into the jade pendants.

Infusing soul power into the pendants was simple—just wrap them in a layer of Stellar Power to preserve the soul fragment. Evan used his Chaos Dragon Force, several times stronger than Stellar Power, and soon finished preparing all the pendants.

Evan Chu's soul-jade pendants were unique. In the Azure Tide Ruins, almost no one could use soul power for communication, since most cultivators' souls were too weak.

If one of Evan Chu's pendants was shattered, the soul fragment inside would instantly let him sense the surrounding situation, far beyond ordinary message pendants.

The soul power in Evan Chu's pendants let him roughly perceive what was happening nearby—almost as if he were present, though with some sensory limitations.

Evan Chu hurried back, finding everyone still waiting. In their eyes, his status now rivaled the Freewind Palace Lord and Sacred Sword Sect Master. No one wanted to offend the man who killed the Mist Rain Pavilion Master so thoroughly.

Although Frostbane Sect had only recently risen and was the weakest of the Nine Great Sects, its master, Evan Chu, was the most mysterious and possibly among the top three in combat strength—no one dared underestimate him.

Evan Chu addressed the crowd: "Based on the clues I've gathered, these killers are from the Demonic Realm. But they've broken away from the Demon Clan and now serve a terrifying mastermind."

Among them are the Six Demon Generals from the ancient war—the reason Prime Might Sect was wiped out overnight. Now, all six have reached Saint Martial Realm, and with subordinates at Eighth- and Ninth-Layer Divine Martial, destroying mid-tier sects is easy for them.

The Demon Generals' strength isn't fully restored yet, so they'll keep preying on weaker sects. I have six jade pendants, each infused with my soul power—wherever you are, if you crush one, I'll know immediately.

With my current speed, I can cross thousands of kilometers in less than half a stick of incense. So I ask a few righteous friends: if you see anyone drinking blood, or mysterious attackers slaughtering a sect, crush the pendant—I’ll rush over at once.

If we don't root out these Demon Clan traitors, we'll live in constant fear. As they consume more victims, their strength will keep growing—eventually, the whole Azure Tide Ruins could become their slaves.
