Dr. Soulbreaker excitedly gathered up all the herbs, then said to Evan Yang, "Come, into my hall. Let me take a proper look."
Seeing that Dr. Soulbreaker was willing to help, Evan Yang smiled and said, "Thank you."
Dr. Soulbreaker then led Evan Yang and Simo back into his hall. At this point, the way Dr. Soulbreaker looked at Evan had changed—if he had been arrogant before, now he regarded Evan as an equal.
"For her body, I need to refine a special medicine and combine it with my medical arts. I'll start refining it now—wait here." said Dr. Soulbreaker.
Evan Yang nodded, and Dr. Soulbreaker left. Simo looked at Evan and said, "If it fails, just leave me be."
"It won't fail. He's a miracle doctor," Evan Yang said with a smile.
"Even miracle doctors can't guarantee success. I'm not stupid," Simo replied to Evan Yang.
Hearing this, Evan Yang fell silent for a moment and then said, "It won't fail—it has to succeed."
Simo glanced at Evan Yang, then went to sit off to the side, staring ahead in silence, lost in thought. When Dr. Soulbreaker returned, he looked at Simo and said, "The process might be very painful—you'll have to endure it."
"I understand," Simo said. Then Dr. Soulbreaker turned to Evan Yang, "Stay by her side and protect her, just in case."
"Mm." Evan Yang nodded. Dr. Soulbreaker then prepared to administer the medicine to Simo. At that moment, Simo asked, "Roughly what are the chances of success?"
Dr. Soulbreaker thought for a moment and replied, "It's hard to say. It depends on your fate."
Hearing this, both Evan Yang and Simo felt uneasy, but the arrow was already nocked—they couldn't turn back now. After a moment's thought, Simo said, "Let's begin."
Dr. Soulbreaker glanced at Evan Yang, who nodded, signaling him to start.
Dr. Soulbreaker then began. He gathered all the herbs into his hands, and under his control, they turned into a gas that surrounded Simo and entered her body.
Time passed little by little. Simo's body began to change—she started to grow, as if a child had suddenly become an adult.
Seeing this, Evan Yang was overjoyed, and Simo was delighted too—she hadn't expected it to really work. But Dr. Soulbreaker frowned.
Then Simo's body started to change again—she began to age rapidly, her hair turned white, her face changed shape. Evan Yang was shocked. Dr. Soulbreaker frowned and said, "She's never cultivated; her body can't withstand the accumulated years. My medicine has already fused into her and been absorbed—it can't be extracted. It's over."
Simo was shocked by this, but she calmed herself and said, "Actually, I had already considered these possibilities."
But Evan Yang refused to accept defeat. He went straight to Simo's side and infused her with Heaven-Cold qi. Simo's body began oscillating between old age and youth, shifting back and forth between the two states.
Seeing that Evan Yang could make Simo young again, Dr. Soulbreaker quickly withdrew the medicinal force from his hands and looked at Evan, frowning, "Looks like we'll need to find that item."
"What item?" Evan Yang asked.
Dr. Soulbreaker thought for a moment, then said to Evan Yang, "The Wood-Dust Stone! This stone can preserve youth. If she wears it, she can slowly cultivate, and once her cultivation is strong enough, she can take it off."
After listening, Evan Yang asked, "Where can I find it?"
Dr. Soulbreaker replied, "I'm afraid it's very difficult to find."
Evan Yang knew Dr. Soulbreaker must have some idea, so he said, "Senior, please tell me."
"I once heard that a demonic dragon had one, but I don't know where it is now," Dr. Soulbreaker said to Evan Yang. Evan frowned—he'd heard of demonic dragons, but not their whereabouts. Not to mention it's a god-beast, now there's not even a lead.
Hearing this, Simo smiled and said, "Forget it. This must be fate."
"Don't worry, I'll bring it back for you. Stay here for now. Senior, please watch over her until I return," Evan Yang said to Dr. Soulbreaker.
"Do you know where to look?" Dr. Soulbreaker asked with a frown. Evan Yang shook his head helplessly, "I don't know. I'll just have to try. But I've already infused her with enough qi—it should last her quite a while."
"How about this: take her with you. Once you find the stone, just have her wear it and she'll be fine," Dr. Soulbreaker suggested after thinking for a moment. Evan Yang agreed, and said to Simo, "Let's head out."
"Okay," Simo nodded. Evan Yang then stored her in a spatial treasure. Dr. Soulbreaker stood up and said, "Sorry I couldn't cure her completely this time."
"You've already done a great job," Evan Yang said with a smile.
"I don't deserve such praise," Dr. Soulbreaker replied. Evan Yang nodded and said, "I'm heading out now."
Dr. Soulbreaker nodded and personally escorted Evan Yang out of the Southern Immortal Hall. After Evan left, Dr. Soulbreaker sighed, "If only someone like him could stay by my side... He can make herbs mature instantly—just saying that would frighten anyone."
With regret, Dr. Soulbreaker returned to the hall. The guards of the Southern Immortal Hall were stunned—Evan Yang was not only unharmed, but escorted out as an honored guest.
Evan Yang didn't pay attention to them. He had already left the Southern Immortal plane. Now, in the void, he pondered the demonic dragon matter. He even took out the Monster Jar and released all the monsters, looking at the demon lords he hadn't seen in a long time.
Evan Yang smiled and asked, "Have any of you heard of demonic dragons? As members of the demon clan, you must have heard something."
The female demon lord and the others thought for a while, then shook their heads, indicating they didn't know. Seeing this, Evan Yang felt helpless. Seeing these demon lords, he realized they were no longer of much use to him. He said, "You may leave the Monster Jar now. I've severed your connection to it."
Upon hearing this, the demon lords were extremely excited. However, the female demon lord frowned and asked, "What is your current cultivation level?"
"Is that important?" Evan Yang replied with a smile.
"Why can't I see through you anymore?" The female demon lord asked suspiciously. She used to be able to sense Evan Yang's strength, but now she couldn't discern it at all.
The others, prompted by the female demon lord's words, all looked at Evan Yang with suspicion. Evan Yang smiled, "I'm still an Immortal Lord, but even if I face gods or Heaven's Path experts, I won't back down."
"Gods? Heaven's Path experts?" The female demon lord looked puzzled. She understood gods, but had never heard of Heaven's Path, nor had the others.
Evan Yang smiled, "Above gods is Heaven's Path."
Upon hearing this, everyone understood. They had to admire Evan Yang—his strength had grown so much in just a few years.
They looked at each other—now that they had their freedom, it was time to leave. But the female demon lord stayed behind in the Chaos Realm. Evan Yang was curious, "Why aren't you leaving?"
"I told you, following you is interesting. Though I can't help you much right now, sometimes I can be useful. Maybe I know where you might find the demonic dragon," the female demon lord suddenly said.
Evan Yang raised his eyebrows, "Didn't you just say you didn't know?"
"Because I just remembered someone who might know," the female demon lord replied.
"Who?" Evan Yang asked curiously. The female demon lord smiled, "Have you ever been to the Demon Realm?"
"The Demon Realm? Of course I've been there. Though it was a bit rushed at the time. Why? Are you saying the person I need to find is there?" Evan Yang asked, intrigued.
"I heard that dragons once appeared there, along with divine eagles and such. I don't know the details," the female demon lord said to Evan Yang.
Hearing this, Evan Yang remembered his past experiences in the Demon Realm. "I see. If you hadn't mentioned it, I might have forgotten. Maybe they know. Thank you."
"You know them?" the female demon lord asked, seeing Evan Yang's expression.
"Yes, the divine eagle is half my master, and I've met the dragon once. I need to go back and ask them," Evan Yang said to the female demon lord.
The female demon lord was surprised to learn Evan Yang had met them before. Evan composed himself, and since she wasn't leaving, he put her back into the Monster Jar, planning to have her lead the way once they reached the Demon Realm.
Without delay, Evan Yang set off for the Demon Realm—the place he and Luo Tong had once stumbled into due to spatial disruption.
When he arrived again, the Demon Realm didn't feel the same as before—it seemed many demon beasts were missing.
"It feels like something's missing," Evan Yang muttered.
The female demon lord emerged as well, returning to the Demon Realm. She frowned, "I'll try to find the Ten Great Demon Lords."
Xue You Valley—Evan Yang still remembered the route from years ago, but now everything looked different. The terrain had changed, and many landmarks were gone, as if they'd been forcibly moved.
When the female demon lord gathered the Ten Great Demon Lords, they saw Evan Yang—a human—and her, and frowned. One of the demon lords, Meng Sa, who had appeared later, looked at the female demon lord with interest, but at Evan Yang with hostility.
"What are you—a human—doing in the Demon Realm?" Meng Sa asked.
Evan Yang smiled, "I'm looking for a place, but unfortunately, I don't know where it's moved to now."
"Why should we tell you, human? Unless you leave her here. What's a demon lord doing following a human?" Meng Sa assumed the female demon lord was Evan's spirit beast, hence her obedience.
The female demon lord snorted, "Meng Sa, what do you mean by that?"
"It's simple—why are you staying here, following a human?" Meng Sa asked.
Evan Yang thought for a moment, then smiled, "She's with me, so naturally I take her with me. Whether she stays or not isn't up to me—so can we skip that question?"
"Kid, I'm already giving you face by talking to you. If you're still clueless, then there's no need for more words. Everyone, let's take down this annoying human!" Meng Sa was foolish enough to think Evan was weak and easy to bully.
