He Can Play Piano?

Evan Lin!

Hearing Charles Chen call out for him, the faces of the wealthy woman and Ryan Ren instantly turned ugly. They glanced over at the calm-faced teenager sitting right across from them—Evan Lin.

Beside them, Lynn Chen couldn't help but widen her eyes at Evan Lin, staring blankly, her heart in turmoil.

"Why are you shouting as soon as you walk in? Hasn't Evan been sitting here the whole time?" Lucy Lu shot Charles Chen a look, smiling. "Can't you just walk a few steps further in?"

Hearing Lucy Lu's words, Charles Chen brightened up, hurried forward a few steps, and finally saw Evan Lin sitting on the sofa.

"Uncle Chen."

Evan Lin nodded slightly at Charles Chen.

"Ah, Evan, you finally made it! Where have you been these past few days? Why didn't you leave us any word?"

Charles Chen's eyes lit up when he saw Evan Lin.

His warm, eager attitude toward Evan was a complete contrast to the perfunctory way he'd just spoken to the wealthy woman and Ryan.

This left the wealthy woman and Ryan feeling awkward.

"Just went out for a quick walk, that's all."

Not even bothering to take off his suit, Charles Chen sat down right next to Evan, urgently asking, "Can you tell me how you know Chairman Wang's son—Keaton Wang? On the phone, he seemed to think the world of you."

"We've just met a few times."

"Just met a few times?"

Charles Chen still wasn't satisfied. If he could win Keaton Wang's favor, he'd get even more resources from the main company. Everyone knew Chairman Wang doted on his son Keaton most of all.

"Mm."

Evan Lin nodded.

"Alright, alright, Evan just arrived in Capitalview City today. Can't you let him rest a bit?"

"Besides, this kid's amazing in more ways than one. Back at White Dragon Mountain, even Sawyer Summer from River City greeted him. And then there was that elder from Jinnan, Old Man Su or something, right?"

As Lucy Lu spoke, she paused, thinking for a moment but couldn't quite recall Old Man Su's full name.

"Old Man Su? Are you talking about Victor Su?" the wealthy woman asked cautiously, watching Lucy Lu's face.

Lucy Lu slapped her thigh and laughed, "That's it! Victor Su. Old Man Su even had a private chat with Evan for quite a while."

"Victor Su!"

The wealthy woman's face went pale in an instant. When she looked at Evan Lin, her eyes were full of regret, and she even started to tremble.

The Su family in Jinnan is someone people look up to! Families like hers could only catch glimpses of Victor Su on TV or in magazine reports.

"And about Sawyer Summer?"

The wealthy woman's voice trembled, "You mean the new richest man in Seacrest, Sawyer Summer of the Summer Group?"

"That should be him. Why, do you know Sawyer Summer?" Lucy Lu nodded.

"Heard of him, heard of him..."

The wealthy woman forced a smile, but it was awkward and her voice had grown much quieter.

In their social circles, besides talking about luxury bags, the women mostly gossiped about the legendary deeds of various tycoons.

Sawyer Summer from Seacrest Province had been the hottest topic lately. With one shocking multi-billion wager, he won the entire Li family from Li Aotian and became Seacrest's richest man overnight. People called him a phoenix reborn, a super overlord.

At her level, the wealthy woman could never meet someone like him, but the teenager before her had personally spoken to Wayne Wang, Sawyer Summer, and Victor Su?

To the wealthy woman, Evan Lin had seemed shabby before, but now—even with that same calm expression—he felt unfathomable.

It was like a smart person watching a fool—no matter how loud the fool got, in the smart person's eyes, it was all just a show.

Beside her, Ryan Ren's face was also sour, his eyes filled with suspicion as he looked at Evan Lin.

"We'll be going now. You all keep chatting. We'll talk about earlier matters tomorrow, tomorrow."

The wealthy woman stood up from the sofa, quickly dragging Ryan Ren away. Before leaving, she nervously glanced at Evan Lin one last time.

"Why did those two drop by so late? That's just weird," Charles Chen muttered, watching them leave, confused.

"They came to introduce you, saying they'd help you connect with the heads of the Housing Bureau, Tax Bureau, and Commerce Bureau. The idea is to have everyone meet up for dinner and get acquainted," Lucy Lu explained.

"Do I really need their help for that? What a joke," Charles Chen snorted dismissively.

If he were just a regular entrepreneur, that kind of help would matter. But with Wansheng Real Estate backing him, Charles Chen was a hot commodity. He'd met plenty of Capitalview's top officials lately.

"Oh right, Evan—if Keaton Wang ever comes to Capitalview, let me know. I'll arrange a car to pick him up myself," Charles Chen said, switching to a more businesslike tone with a cheerful grin.

"Sure, if he does."

Evan Lin nodded.

Lynn Chen sat nearby, frowning in silent annoyance.

"Also, you know Manager Sheng—Haiyang Sheng, right? He called earlier and said that Claire Sheng has been asking about you. He wanted me to pass it on: if you have time, maybe give her a call? Or I can let her know you're okay?" Charles Chen said, slapping his forehead as he remembered.

Claire Sheng?

Hearing that name, Lynn Chen's eyes widened again and she glared fiercely at Evan Lin. "When did you get to know Claire Sheng too? How do you know so many people?"

Lynn Chen sounded seriously displeased, even a little aggrieved.

Evan Lin couldn't be bothered to look at her and stood up. "Uncle Chen, Auntie Lu, if there's nothing else, I'll head upstairs."

"Alright, alright, you've had a long day. Go get some rest!" Charles Chen nodded quickly, and Lucy Lu echoed him.

As Evan Lin went upstairs, Lynn Chen deliberately shouted, "Mom, tomorrow you tell Aunt Han that I'll go to Peiying High School to watch Ryan Ren play piano!"

Her words were full of dissatisfaction. As she spoke, she saw Evan Lin's footsteps never pause, and her nose turned sour with grievance.

"Play piano? What piano? That Ryan kid with his attitude—he can play piano? Really?" Charles Chen looked baffled, then surprised. "Must be seeing things."

Meanwhile, Madam Han returned home with her son Ryan Ren. As soon as they opened the door, a middle-aged man sat in the living room, puffing on a pipe.
