Now the Real Show Begins

12/19/2025

"I want a box for ten thousand Liberty Points as well..."

"I'll take two boxes..."

Almost as soon as the male cultivator asked for five boxes, several others who had been preparing to leave came forward to buy Starlight Tea.

No one thought this male cultivator was a shill. Once the Starlight Tea was brewed, everyone could sense the cosmic Dao resonance. Just one sip—who could resist?

Even an idiot could tell that Starlight Tea was vastly different from the usual Immortal Spirit Tea sold on the market.

Shu Di's grin nearly split his face—the business for Starlight Tea was simply too good.

......

Because a shop in Cauldron Haven had exploded and Joe Di had killed three people in the street, he was once again the talk of the city. This time was different from the first. The first time, everyone just wanted to see what kind of fool Joe Di was, always talking about Cauldron Haven’s laws and digging traps for the Law Enforcement Hall. Although he won once, everyone assumed he’d eventually get himself killed. People who try to exploit loopholes in Cauldron Haven’s laws never live long.

But this time, Joe Di’s fame came from a new kind of Immortal Spirit Tea—Starlight Tea. Just one sip could cleanse the mind, stabilize one’s foundation, and allow a cultivator to fully relax and experience the serenity of the cosmos. This was something every Dao cultivator needed.

If only one person said so, people might think it was nonsense. But now every cultivator who bought Starlight Tea said the same thing, and those who came late couldn’t even buy any. That made everyone realize—it was real.

Such a major event quickly spread throughout Cauldron Haven, and Starspire Apothecary naturally got wind of it as well.

At this moment, nearly all the stewards and elders of Starspire Apothecary in Cauldron Haven were gathered in the council hall, each with a cup of Immortal Spirit Tea in front of them.

The council hall was silent—not only because everyone could sense the Dao resonance of Starlight Tea, but also because they all understood what its emergence meant.

After a long while, Elder Bee sighed and said, "This is truly a case of bringing disaster upon ourselves. Starspire Apothecary should have just abducted him from the start. Now it's too late for anything."

The council hall remained silent. Everyone understood what Elder Bee meant. For Joe Di to openly sell such a terrifying Starlight Tea—wasn’t that just asking for trouble?

Joe Di was just a lowly Immortal Lord with no backing, yet he revealed such a powerful Immortal Spirit Tea. Countless people would want to take him away. No matter how formidable Starspire Apothecary was, it had no right to compete with those people. That’s why Elder Bee said it was already too late.

It was a pity—Starspire Apothecary was the first to discover Joe Di’s extraordinary talent, yet in the end, they gained nothing from it.

......

"Excellent tea!" exclaimed a man so fat his eyes were mere slits. After taking a sip of Starlight Tea, he slapped the tea table in front of him, smashing it to pieces.

"A thousand Liberty Points for a single leaf—he’s trying to earn all the Liberty Points in Cauldron Haven for himself, haha..." The fat man chuckled as he rubbed his hands together.

Any cultivator who had lived in Cauldron Haven for a long time would instantly recognize the fat man—Gray, the manager of Fortune Resthaven, one of the city’s most famous inns.

Don’t let the name Fortune Resthaven fool you—it might sound plain, but it ranks among the top three inns in all of Cauldron Haven.

Gray’s own cultivation was mediocre, but the person backing him was anything but ordinary—Gavin Jet, the vice-mayor of Cauldron Haven and a mid-stage Immortal Lord.

Gray closed his eyes, savoring the Dao resonance of the Starlight Tea, then set his cup down and said to the Immortal King behind him, "Fu Yi, come with me to visit the Starlight Teahouse. I want to have a word with that remarkable Alchemist Di."

He could already picture it—Fortune Resthaven being the only place in Cauldron Haven to sell Starlight Tea, with countless cultivators flocking to buy it. Every day, an endless stream of Liberty Points would fill his purse, and business would boom.

"Yes, sir." The red-robed man behind Gray answered respectfully. He knew his master had set his sights on the Starlight Tea business.

......

"How did it sell out so quickly?"

"I’ve been waiting in line here for ages, Manager Shu! Just saying you’re out of stock isn’t good enough."

......

The entrance to the Starlight Teahouse was packed with people. Ever since it opened, the crowds had been like this nearly every day—now for the fifth day in a row.

Shu Di could only clasp his hands and politely explain to the many disappointed cultivators, "Starlight Tea is extremely difficult to refine. Our teahouse can only produce so much each day. If you want to buy some, come early tomorrow."

To be honest, Shu Di was frustrated too. His big brother had given him a pile of Starlight Tea, but insisted he only sell a set amount each day—once it was gone, that was it.

He just couldn’t understand—why not make more money? Everyone knew how hard it was to survive in Cauldron Haven. Wouldn’t earning extra Liberty Points be a good thing?

"Everyone, please make way. Business is closed for today. If you have any concerns, go to Fortune Resthaven in a few days." A sudden voice rang out.

Shu Di was stunned—he should have been the one to say that! Who had the nerve to speak like this at the Starlight Teahouse? And what was Fortune Resthaven supposed to be, anyway?

The crowd parted, and Shu Di saw them clearly: a fat man and a cultivator in red robes.

To Shu Di, their auras were vast and overwhelming—far stronger than his own.

"That’s Manager Gray from Fortune Resthaven..." someone in the crowd recognized the fat man. Any cultivators who had wanted to protest fell silent after seeing Gray and quietly slipped away.

With Gray, the manager of Fortune Resthaven, showing up here—even an idiot could see what was happening. The Starlight Teahouse was attracting too much attention, and Shu Di was drawing trouble to himself. Wasn’t this just asking for trouble?

"Today’s Starlight Tea is sold out. If you need anything, come back tomorrow." Shu Di could tell this fat man was trouble and quickly spoke up first.

"Get out of the way." Gray slapped Shu Di aside, shattering more than a dozen of his bones with the blow—Shu Di’s cultivation was far too weak.

Joe Di and Aaron Jace rushed down to the first floor at the same time.

"Joe Di, you’re doing well—opening such a big teahouse in no time. Today, I’ve come to bring you a great fortune..."

Gray hadn’t even finished his sentence before Aaron Jace lunged at him.

Both Aaron Jace and Gray were at the Grand Ether Immortal early stage. Even though Aaron’s cultivation was built on pills, he was still the only son of an Immortal Emperor—his skills were not something a mere businessman like Gray could match.

A dragon bone swept up by Aaron Jace filled the air with killing intent, enveloping Gray.

"I’m the manager of Fortune Resthaven—how dare you..."

Gray had only uttered a word when a terrifying spatial bind filled his divine sense. He was already weaker than Aaron Jace, and now, with his movements restricted, he was no match at all.

"Pfft!" Gray’s legs were shattered to bits beneath Aaron Jace’s white dragon bone.

Terror filled Gray’s heart—he regretted everything. Joe Di was no fool; if he could kill people in the street, he could easily kill Gray right here. Even if someone avenged him later, what good would it do? He might already be dead by then.

Why hadn’t Fu Yi done anything yet?

Fu Yi, who had come with him, couldn’t move either. He was trapped in a killing array, several blades piercing his shoulder blades and pinning him inside.

Back when Joe Di was just a True Immortal, he could trap and kill several Immortal Kings and a bunch of Grand Luo Immortals. Now that he was an Immortal Lord, Fu Yi—just an early-stage Immortal King—dared to swagger into his array? That was suicide.

Boom! Two figures were sent flying out of the Starlight Teahouse. The crowd didn’t even need to look—they knew it must be the teahouse’s manager, Joe Di, and that so-called sales director, Aaron Jace.

Bang! But when the two landed, everyone was shocked to see it wasn’t Joe Di and the sales director at all—it was Gray, the manager of Fortune Resthaven, and his shadowy enforcer, Fu Yi.

What was going on?

Before anyone could figure it out, another figure burst out—this one charged straight at the legless Gray, pounding him again and again.

Gray was already fat, but now, after being pummeled repeatedly, he’d become a massive, bloody pig’s head.

"Spare me! I’m one of Vice-mayor Gavin Jet’s people..." Gray was too terrified to act tough—he could only beg for mercy.

The watching cultivators all gasped. They’d thought Joe Di was wild, but now they saw that there wasn’t a single tame soul in the Starlight Teahouse—even the staff were this bold.

If that staff member hadn’t meant to kill Manager Gray, the manager of Fortune Resthaven would’ve been beaten to death dozens of times over by now.

Gray was one of Vice-mayor Gavin Jet’s people—now things were about to get interesting.

(That’s all for today’s update. Good night, friends!)
