Love That Hurts to the Bone
"With a wife like this, what more could a husband ask for!" Xiao Zetian exclaimed emotionally as he hugged Su Li tightly, almost wanting to squeeze her to pieces.
Xiao Zetian had seen many noble ladies in the capital, all busy comparing clothes and jewelry. Even those famed for their talents mostly just recited poetry or played music and danced.
He never cared for such things; what he wanted was a truly capable and supportive wife.
And Su Li fulfilled all of Xiao Zetian's hopes for a wife, often surprising him—how could he not love her to the bone!
"Smooth talker, always coaxing me," Su Li blushed as he held her, "That princess has mountains of gold and silver as her dowry, plus a princess's mansion. I'm just a village girl who knows how to farm and garden—how could I compare?"
Su Li's words made Xiao Zetian's teeth ache from jealousy. He grabbed her chin, his gaze burning: "Wife, don't mention that princess again. If you do..."
"If I do what?" Su Li smirked challengingly, genuinely curious what Xiao Zetian would do.
A fiery kiss immediately showed Su Li how fiercely General Xiao would silence her.
After a moment of heavy breathing and soft moans, Su Li weakly pushed Xiao Zetian away, clutching her loosened clothes, scolding, "You... you actually did that to me... You can't be trusted!"
Xiao Zetian licked his lips, delighted to taste the sweetest treat again, his mood soaring as he tossed Su Li onto the bed without a word: "Wife, time to sleep."
"You! You can't get on the bed to sleep, you have to sleep on the floor!" Su Li's cheeks flushed like a custard bun.
"Husband already warmed the bed for wife, then I'll sleep on the floor," the shameless man crawled under the covers.
Su Li: ...
Early the next morning, when Lingdang came to find Su Li, she saw Su Li looking rosy and spirited, combing her hair in front of the mirror, while the mighty and imposing General Xiao was gently brushing her hair.
Lingdang realized she had come at the wrong time, quickly covered her eyes and ran out, thinking to herself that the general and his wife had clearly made up!
Lingdang was happy for them and figured they would want some privacy, so she went off to prepare special ingredients for Princess Mingyu. Then, she packed the leftover meat buns from breakfast into a jar and headed outside the courtyard.
"Little Lingdang, off to deliver food to that child again?" Li Yanhao came over with a smile, stretching lazily and blocking her path. "The crispy duck you made yesterday was really delicious. When will you make it for me again?"
Lingdang arrogantly tossed her head: "Depends on my mood!"
Li Yanhao, bored with nothing to do, walked outside with Lingdang. They chatted and laughed, discussing Princess Mingyu's "firecracker incident."
After learning that Su Li was behind it, Li Yanhao dramatically patted his chest: "Luckily I never offended A Li, or I'd be doomed!"
Lingdang proudly spoke of her master: "That's right, my master is amazing and has many tricks! If that shameless Princess Mingyu dares to keep lingering, my master has even more clever plans! Like constant hiccups, smelling foul, sores on the feet, pus-filled bumps on the head, hemorrhoids on the butt..."
As Lingdang counted on her fingers, Li Yanhao pictured Princess Mingyu constantly hiccuping, farting, smelling bad, with pus oozing from her head, sores on her feet, and limping with hemorrhoids, causing him to burst out laughing.
