No One Can Control Me

Thanks for your internal energy—dropping this classic villain line, Jack Young turned calmly and walked away.

"Master, you..." This line clearly triggered some weird associations for Rachel Luo: "Could it be—the Beiming Divine Skill?"

"Of course not." Jack Young smiled and shook his head. "But it’s sort of similar." Just now, while his opponent’s true energy was in chaos, Jack’s Bright Jade Technique launched a full assault. In past matches, his ten years’ worth of Bright Jade Technique could barely hold out, only surviving thanks to his purer skill. If his mastery wasn’t two grades above the old man’s, he wouldn’t have lasted a moment.

But in that brief opening, Jack seized the chance for a full counterattack. In that instant, a wild idea struck him—he used internal boxing in his own meridians. Not just channeling blood and energy, but blending in mental power too. This surprise advanced move didn’t invade the enemy’s body, but instead sent shockwaves through his own channels.

In a flash, the old man’s internal energy was rattled to the point of paralysis, like it had been shaken to mush.

Then Jack unleashed the craziest Flower Swap Jade Touch yet. His Bright Jade Technique became a focused force, flipping and twisting the enemy’s energy at every turn, then wrapping it up and driving it onward. The little crackling explosions were the sound of Flower Swap Jade Touch flipping internal energy again and again—in just an instant, who knows how many times he did it.

If a regular person tried something this wild, forget pulling it off—even if they could, their meridians would snap in no time. They’d be coughing blood before beating anyone. But Jack’s body could handle that level of shock, so all the old man’s internal energy got swept up together, surged back like a tidal wave, and finally blasted into the old man’s body through both palms.

"Using the enemy’s power for my own?" A flash of inspiration crossed his mind—easily the biggest idea of the day. Jack suddenly mused, "If I start from this concept, maybe I can invent a brand-new internal skill."

Wu Zhengfeng said the Beiming Divine Skill has a ton of flaws, and the downsides of directly absorbing someone’s energy are hard to fix. But what if you don’t actually absorb or mix it into your own pure energy, and just borrow it for a fight—what then?

"That’s a great idea—it needs more thought. Today’s wild approach definitely won’t cut it, but if I refine it step by step, maybe it’ll become as powerful as Flower Swap Jade Touch." Jack sank into thought. The flash of inspiration made him excited and happy—today was totally worth it.

Unknowingly, fifty more petals bloomed at his crown chakra—now there were five hundred and fifty in total. At the same time, Jack’s Bright Jade Technique got even purer, and his power quietly grew. Martial arts masters always talk about enlightenment by a single move or thought. In this world, one flash of insight beats years of hard training.

"Huh? Thirteen years already?" Jack snapped back to reality, surprised at his own progress. "Guess fighting experts really is the fastest way to level up."

Just then—bang! A shout and a cry of pain. Turning to look, he saw Xiang Xiaolong (Fierce Dragon) seize the chance and smash a fist into Master Leonard Liu’s shoulder. Leonard Liu stomped so hard the floor cracked and dropped straight to the third floor. Meanwhile, drawn by the clash, Fang Hailong (Fighting Dragon) swung a fierce blade, barely missed the Iron Thread Sword Sect’s chief, but sliced off a chunk of his crown and who knows how much white hair.

Swish, swish—Wen Hanlong (Flying Dragon) and Sam Lee landed. Wen Hanlong’s finger was dripping blood, with a Swallow Dart stuck in the back of his hand. But he was still grinning, because Sam Lee had Wen’s throwing blades stuck in both shoulders—his injuries were worse. Those leaf-sized blades were Wen Hanlong’s signature weapon, called "Dragon Scales," and they packed a punch.

The sect leaders looked grim—after all that chaos, they’d been totally beaten!

"Let me say this one more time." Fang Hailong (Fighting Dragon) stood dead center on the fourth floor, swinging his curved blade in a full circle: "We’re taking the Aromatic Jade Pendant. Anyone who tries to snatch it—we’ll cut them down!"

Riding high on victory, Fang Hailong’s words were even more intimidating than when he first arrived. Right now, pretty much everyone was cowed—no one wanted trouble.

But Master Grant Guo suddenly spoke up: "Wait a minute."

"Huh?" Fang Hailong raised an eyebrow, and the Three Dragons closed in on Grant Guo. Xiang Xiaolong (Fierce Dragon) even grinned murderously: "So there’s still someone with a death wish. Looks like we’ll see some blood today!"

"Please, leaders, don’t attack!" Grant Guo hurriedly raised his hands. "The one with objections isn’t me—it’s someone else!"

"Cut the crap, I don’t understand a word you’re saying!" Xiang Xiaolong (Fierce Dragon) snapped impatiently. "So who here still isn’t playing by the rules?!"

"It’s him!" Grant Guo pointed straight at Jack Young, blurting out, "He said he’ll buy whatever he wants, and nobody can stop him! We all heard it, we even fought over it, it’s true!"

"Huh?" Instantly, everyone’s gaze turned weird. The three fierce dragons and the mysterious Palace Master—could Grant Guo really stir up trouble between them?

The three turned to look at Jack Young. Fang Hailong (Fighting Dragon) glared at him, "You really said that?"

At a time like this, most people would try to smooth things over, just to avoid unnecessary enemies. But Jack Young just nodded, calm as ever: "Yep. As long as you show up first and offer the price, I’ll buy whatever I want."

"Hmph." Fang Hailong (Fighting Dragon), with his two brothers, strode over, suddenly drawing his blade and slamming it into the table right in front of Jack Young: "Even I can’t stop you?"

"Not just you—‘Old Man,’ ‘Big Boss,’ or even the ‘Heavenly King’ can’t stop me." Jack Young was fearless: "If anyone wants to try, they can go a few rounds with me first."

Fang Hailong (Fighting Dragon) and Jack Young locked eyes—one sharp, one deep. The tension was palpable.

"Hahaha, gutsy! Finally, someone with some backbone!" Fang Hailong (Fighting Dragon) laughed three times, then propped his foot on a stool, leaned in, and pressed closer, face cold and hard: "So, you’re dead set on fighting me for that Aromatic Jade Pendant?"

Jack Young didn’t budge: "It’s just business—first come, first served. I never said I had to have it, and I’m not even sure I need that pendant yet. But if I do, either you beat me to it, or we settle it with a duel."
