I Sever My Own Arms

Only the Fourth Prince looked a little unhappy, but after thinking it over, he realized what was going on. He’d put too much emphasis on Ian Song, and it made Byron Bi—an old retainer of the Fourth Prince Residence—feel jealous, so Byron was planning to give the newcomer a bit of a slap.

Victor Li had originally wanted to step in, but he was too curious about Ian’s formation skills, so he kept quiet.

As for Bada, he’d seen Ian’s formation abilities firsthand—eight Nascent Divinity beginners got trapped and couldn’t even control their own life or death. Byron Bi might be late Nascent Divinity, but breaking Ian’s array? Good luck with that.

“Well, what does Mr. Song think?”

Seeing Ian Song staying silent, Byron Bi pressed him, trying to force a response.

“What do I think? Not much.” Ian shook his head.

“Oh? Mr. Song, is it that you look down on me, or do you just lack confidence?” Byron Bi’s face turned cold.

“Neither. I just think the wager’s too light.” Ian replied, calm and unhurried.

“Oh? Then what do you suggest, Mr. Song?”

“How about this: If I lose, I’ll formally acknowledge you as my master, and I’ll throw in 100,000 top-grade spirit crystals and ten Godbreaking Pills as a disciple’s gift. How’s that?” Ian said with a grin, but there was a cold glint in his eyes. If you want to slap me down, I’ll make you smash your own teeth on the ground.

“A hundred thousand top-grade spirit crystals!”

“Ten Godbreaking Pills!”

Hearing those two things, not just Byron Bi, but everyone else looked absolutely stunned.

You had to know, even a first-rate sect’s total wealth was just a few thousand top-grade spirit crystals. A hundred thousand? Only superpowers like the Tang Dynasty or the Prime One Church could cough up that much.

As for ten Godbreaking Pills, while they only totaled about five thousand top-grade spirit crystals, these pills were insanely rare. Even if you had the crystals, you’d have a hard time buying them. After all, one Godbreaking Pill could push a late Out-of-Body cultivator straight into Nascent Divinity. Even the Prime One Church wouldn’t want to sell them.

After a moment of shock, Byron Bi’s eyes practically turned green. He stared at Ian. “Mr. Song, you’re not just talking big, are you?”

“A mere hundred thousand top-grade spirit crystals and ten Godbreaking Pills? That’s nothing.” Ian said coolly.

Hearing that, everyone’s gaze toward Ian Song changed.

That was some world-class acting.

He actually dared to act like a hundred thousand top-grade spirit crystals and ten Godbreaking Pills were nothing. Even the Fourth Prince couldn’t be that casual.

Ian Song's face grew even uglier, and he gritted his teeth: "Fine, let's bet just like Senior Bi said!"

Seeing Ian Song forced into agreeing, Byron Bi felt a rush of satisfaction.

Afterward, with Victor Li and the others as witnesses, the two signed a contract, then everyone moved to the courtyard outside.

Ian tossed out a formation disk, instantly activating an array. "Senior Bi, if you can break the formation, you win. If you can't, but manage to last inside for two hours, that counts as your victory too. How about it?"

Byron Bi was stunned for a moment, sensing something was off.

"Please, enter the array!" Ian Song gestured politely.

"Hmph!"

With a cold snort, Byron Bi strode straight into the formation, while Ian Song remained outside, unmoving.

Bada asked, "Brother Song, aren't you going in to control the array?"

Ian Song grinned arrogantly. "No need—controlling it from outside is enough!" He quickly formed a series of hand seals, making the whole array turn transparent, revealing a vast grassland with Byron Bi standing in the center.

Inside, Byron Bi didn't attack recklessly. Instead, he started casting formation hand-seals, testing the array's patterns and rules.

But suddenly, Byron Bi felt his whole body sink—the gravity in the space had increased a hundredfold.

"Petty tricks, not worth mentioning!" he mocked loudly.

Ian Song just smiled and said nothing. In the next moment, countless wind blades suddenly appeared in the sky.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

The next instant, the wind blades swept down, covering the sky and shooting straight at Byron Bi.

Seeing this, Byron Bi calmly released a golden bell-shaped magic treasure, shielding himself completely.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Each wind blade struck the golden bell, but only managed to stir up tiny ripples on its surface.
