Sky‑Piercing Rage and the Mysterious Power

Eldon Liu was plotting how to get rid of Evan Yang, so he wouldn't be an obstacle here. Evan, meanwhile, was thinking about how to obtain the Divine Seal. As for the Holy Saintess, being restricted in this place meant neither side could fight openly; they could only attack and retreat in quick bursts.

Evan Yang eyed the Divine Seal not far away, then checked the surrounding light beams. It would be tough to reach it unless he moved extremely fast. He calculated how to get closest and retreat quickest, since these beams cycled on and off—briefly, but fast enough to grab the Seal if he timed it right.

“Trying to make a move? Hmph, then I'll destroy you first.” While fighting the Holy Saintess, Eldon Liu kept part of his attention on Evan Yang.

Suddenly, a powerful beam of light shot from Eldon Liu's hand, aiming straight at the Holy Saintess. She dodged as expected, thinking she'd avoided danger—but Evan Yang was right behind her. The beam now headed directly for him.

Evan Yang was shocked—this was not something he could withstand. He wanted to escape, but the beam was too fast; by the time he reacted, it was already too late.

Just then, a figure appeared in front of Evan Yang—it was none other than the Holy Saintess.

“No!” Evan Yang cried out in shock. The Holy Saintess faced him, gave a smile, and then her back was suddenly pierced as if struck by a devastating attack.

Boom! Both Evan Yang and the Holy Saintess were sent flying.

“Are you alright?” Evan Yang helped the Holy Saintess up, anxious. She smiled, "It seems I still can't escape the shadow left by my World-Incarnation."

“Ha ha!!” Eldon Liu laughed loudly.

Evan Yang glared furiously at Eldon Liu, hating himself for being careless and letting Eldon set him up.

“Eldon Liu, you can have the Divine Seal—just let him go.” The Holy Saintess's breath was weak, a consequence of taking Eldon's powerful strike.

“Is this how the Holy Saintess guards the Divine Seal?” Eldon Liu sneered, feeling things were going almost too smoothly. He also realized just how important Evan Yang was to her.

Evan Yang was furious—clearly, he was being used as leverage. Confused, he asked, "Why?"

"Why? I don't know either. Maybe it's because I met you during my World-Incarnation." The Holy Saintess replied bitterly.

“World-Incarnation?” Evan Yang asked, puzzled.

Eldon Liu, seeing the Holy Saintess was now seriously injured and no longer a threat, didn't rush to take the Divine Seal. Instead, he laughed loudly, "Evan Yang, it seems I've seen you in her memories. As for this so-called World-Incarnation, it's when she subconsciously hides her original memories and transforms into another body to experience life outside. Who would've guessed she'd develop such deep feelings for you."

"What?" Evan Yang heard this and, holding the Holy Saintess in his arms, asked, "Is that true?"

"Isn't it naive? I always thought World-Incarnation was just a cultivation process, but during the time you disappeared, I found myself remembering you, missing you. Maybe that's fate." The Holy Saintess smiled without regret.

"You mean Hannah Nangong was one of your incarnations?" Evan Yang asked, extremely moved.

"That's right, you could say that. But I never expected I'd develop feelings for you." The Holy Saintess smiled at Evan Yang.

With the Holy Saintess's confirmation and remembering what she just did, Evan Yang's eyes reddened. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I just didn't want you to feel burdened. Isn't it better this way? But now, I'm afraid I can't hold on much longer." The Holy Saintess spat out blood; her injuries were severe.

Evan Yang cried out in alarm, "No, I'll definitely save you!"

"It's useless." The Holy Saintess shook her head. Off to the side, Eldon Liu clicked his tongue. "What a touching scene, but I won't be moved. Kid, let me tell you—her body is different from others. Once she's badly injured, her recovery is a thousand times slower. If she doesn't get timely treatment, she's basically a cripple waiting to die."

"Impossible!" Evan Yang refused to believe it. He immediately poured a stream of Heaven-Cold energy into the Holy Saintess. She knew Evan's Heaven-Cold power was potent, but it only helped a little and didn't have much effect. She smiled, "It's useless. If you want to heal me this way, you'd have to keep it up for tens of thousands of years."

Evan Yang knew his Heaven-Cold Seed wasn't strong enough yet. Only when it grew powerful could he heal a Saintess at Immortal Sovereign level. Right now, it was like pouring buckets of water into the sea—completely useless.

"No, no, there has to be a way!" Evan Yang said.

"A way?" The Holy Saintess was extremely weak, almost unconscious. She didn't know what she was saying, and soon fainted completely. Evan Yang, eyes red, said, "No, you won't die. I'll definitely wake you up!"

"Ha ha! Don't waste your effort. She's only pretending to be unconscious—after all, Immortal Sovereigns can't die so easily. Don't be sad." Eldon Liu laughed.
