Clamping Down on His Hand

1/4/2026

"I'm not sleeping! What, are you going to force me to sleep now?"

Damian Black's face darkened.

"I'm warning you, you'd better scatter my soul for good! You'd better not let me escape! Otherwise, I'll break your Tribulation Storm Array and wipe out your whole army! Not a single—"

Lily Bai didn't finish her sentence before Damian Black clamped a hand over her mouth.

Yep, he actually reached out and covered her mouth!

Lily Bai opened her mouth and bit down, sinking her teeth hard into his hand.

Damian Black didn't dodge—he just watched her and let her bite.

She didn't let go until she tasted that salty tang of blood, with it trickling down her lips. Only then did she, a little surprised, release her bite.

Why would he let her bite him like that?

He could easily shatter all her teeth with a single burst of power.

Why did he let her bite until she drew blood, without resisting at all?

She wiped her mouth and asked, "What are you doing?"

"Your junior brother wasn't killed by us." Damian's voice was low and rough, with an odd rasp to it.

"If it wasn't you, then who was it? They just said Baxa captured more than twenty Celestial Sect disciples and fed them to demon beasts!"

Damian didn't answer. Instead, he asked, "Is your junior brother very important to you?"

Lily Bai felt a wave of sadness. "Of course! He's the closest junior brother I have!"

Damian said nothing more, simply went to one of the beds and lay down without undressing.

She always had so many people she cared about.

She'd even risk her life for them.

......

Inn rooms usually have two beds; these days, they've each taken one.

Azure Flame doesn't take up any space.

Lily Bai glared at him hatefully for a while, then went to rinse her mouth with tea, spitting forcefully into the trash can.

Her mouth was full of the taste of blood.

Then she lay down on the bed too, her mind in turmoil.

Her master had previously been invited by the Drake Abyss Divine General to break the Wildlands Tribulation Thunder Array, but was struck by tribulation lightning.

Even though he wore the Divine Realm's defensive armor, he still nearly lost his life and was gravely injured.

He had always doted on her, sometimes treating her even better than Jiu Li.

When news of her death reaches him... he'll be heartbroken all over again!

If something really happens to Jiu Li... Lily Bai could almost see her master collapsing from grief, coughing up blood and dying.

She absolutely hated Damian Black!

It's all because of them!

Couldn't he just stay in the Primeval Demon Wilds and be the Demon Emperor?

Why did he have to cause so many human tragedies?

She sat up and stared fiercely at Damian Black's back, turned away from her.

That tall, elegant figure looked perfect from any angle, but he was the root of all disaster.

She really wanted to...

What did she want to do?

It was all just wishful thinking!

Lily Bai turned her head to look out the window.

The room was sealed by a barrier, but it didn't block the view.

Looking out from the second-floor window, she could see the brightly lit backyard.

The backyard was spacious, neatly paved with blue stone.

The flowers and plants grew beautifully.

The weather was a bit hot.

Many tables and chairs were set up in the backyard.

Lots of guests, seeking cool air, sat outside drinking and chatting.

There were even two who started fighting over a disagreement.

Lily Bai shook her head, ready to lie down again.

Just then, new people entered the backyard.

It was a group of more than ten Celestial Sect disciples!

Wearing matching purple and white uniforms, they looked dignified and ethereal, impossible to look at directly.

The two fighters, seeing them, immediately backed off to the edge of the yard, joining the others in staring at them with awe.

They were disciples of the Longride Sect.

True Celestial Sect disciples.

Immortal bodies.
