Emperor Leonard the Enlightened sat drenched in cold sweat on his chair, unable to recover for a long moment. When he finally looked up, he saw Bella Bell's icy gaze.

"Bella Bell, I..." Emperor Leonard looked up at the woman who once lay beside him, now staring at him with unfamiliar, cold, and hostile eyes.

Bella Bell glanced indifferently at Emperor Leonard and said, "If you want your only child to recognize you, you'd better not pull any more tricks. Otherwise, you'll never see the child again, and I won't tell them they have such a shameless father!"

With those words, Bella Bell strode out of the crowd. Emperor Leonard's body slumped, his eyes following Bella Bell's departing figure. His lips trembled, and after a moment, silent tears fell as he murmured, "Bella Bell, I'm sorry... I've let you and the child down..."

Sean Hayes looked back at the father and son, and said coolly, "Clean yourselves up. The Grand Imperial Assembly starts soon. Don't let the ministers see anything amiss, or things will get complicated."

Lord Huainan glared fiercely at Sean Hayes, but Sean couldn't be bothered to acknowledge them, simply keeping a watchful eye on the pair.

Lord Huainan was sent to the palace and forbidden to leave for now, while Emperor Leonard was told to change into his ceremonial robes.
