"You can see us?"

Fan Xiaoran looked in surprise at the Lady Meng on the opposite side of the river. She nodded.

"Old as I may be, you youngsters can't fool me."

Petals of the red spider lilies drifted over, gathering and gradually forming a small bridge across the river.

"Come over."

Fan Xiaoran stared at Lady Meng in confusion.

"I'm not going over. Yin Choujian, you all go ahead yourselves."

Yin Choujian stepped onto the bridge formed by the red spider lilies. Lady Meng fixed her gaze on me, and I followed them across.

"Brat, you actually dared to trick me."

As soon as we crossed, Lady Meng raised her cane and struck Yin Choujian on the backside, then hit him several more times. Yin Choujian quickly dodged, but Lady Meng pressed her cane onto his shoulder.

"Speak up. What mischief are you up to this time?"

"Just want to negotiate with Yan Luo."

In an instant, Lady Meng's eyes widened and she swung her cane at Yin Choujian's head, but he caught the cane with one hand.

"Given these extraordinary times, I think those old folks would be willing to sit down and talk, right?"

"Go back inside first. The ghosts on Wangxiang Terrace are being escorted back now. There are no underworld officers around, so hurry up."

Soon we arrived at Lady Meng's house and sat inside the small cabin. Lady Meng brewed tea for us, and I quietly gazed at the pale yellow tea.

"Don't worry, just drink. Old as I am, I didn't poison it."

Thinking back, Zhang Qingyuan once drank tea brewed with Lady Meng's soup and lost a chunk of his memory—about the seven Ghost Lords.

"Now the Sanzu is in chaos. Yin Choujian, the aftermath of what you did last time is far beyond what you expected."

Suddenly, Lady Meng's face darkened. Yin Choujian smiled helplessly and waved his hand.
