Evan Chu quickly activated his Chaos Divine Power, condensing a protective barrier around himself as he began to retreat. Only when he reached a certain distance did those terrifying little beasts finally halt their pursuit.
Upon closer inspection, Evan realized these little beasts weren’t real Spirit Beasts at all, but elemental entities formed entirely from condensed elemental energy.
What was even stranger, each of these little beasts had its own independent intelligence—and not a low one either. They couldn’t speak human language, but they could clearly communicate and coordinate attacks.
“There must be something deeper inside this place influencing them. Before I arrived, their fighting with each other looked more like play than real combat.
That’s right, it must be like this. Their real purpose is guarding whatever is influencing them. They’re just derivatives, not the true core.
Which means, those cores must be even more terrifying elemental energies!"
Just thinking about it made Evan’s heart pound faster. If he could find a source capable of endlessly producing fire, water, wind, and even more elemental bodies, his future cultivation would skyrocket to a terrifying level!
That would save him a ton of time searching for elemental crystals—and spare him a huge amount of resources too.
“I have to get it—this is a massive opportunity for me! If that’s the case, then I’ll just have to charge in head-on! Old Goldwing, Shadow, come out!”
With a low shout, Evan activated the Timewheel Bracelet. A streak of golden light and a massive berserk lion appeared beside him.
"Big bro."
"Boss!"
"Haha, you two both broke through to early-stage God-Venerable Realm? Not bad, not bad at all! And judging by the power surging in you, I bet that’s not even the full story."
Evan glanced at Old Goldwing—his feathers were shining, golden light streaming off him in waves, and divine radiance blazing from every inch.
Right now, Old Goldwing had fully evolved into a Divine Roc. The explosive speed he could unleash was absolutely unmatched in the God Realm—probably no one could surpass him now.
Shadow was the same—now a true Chaos Beast, his strength and defense were even scarier than before. With Tom Chu and Jade Chu as backup, Evan’s confidence soared.
"Shadow, you take point and clear the way. Old Goldwing, carry me and charge forward at top speed. Remember—don’t hurt those elemental spirit beasts ahead. I’m worried it might affect the core."
"No problem, big bro! Just protect yourself. Even late-stage God-Venerable spirit beasts can’t match my flight speed!
"I can tell you with absolute confidence—unless the surrounding space is completely locked down, even you, big bro, couldn't hit me a hundred percent of the time!" Old Goldwing boasted, his voice brimming with pride.
Even Evan was startled by Old Goldwing's boundless confidence. Was his speed really that monstrous now?
Old Goldwing had been with Evan for years and knew exactly how strong he was. For him to brag so shamelessly now—there was only one explanation: Old Goldwing’s breakthrough had to be even more terrifying than Evan had ever imagined!
"Quit showing off! Can't you see Boss is practically burning with impatience? Hurry up already—move, move!"
Little Shadow snorted twice, refusing to be left behind, then sprang into action. Old Goldwing wasn’t about to lose face either—these two maniacs were both desperate to show off in front of Evan, each determined to outdo the other.
"Let’s go—move out!"
Whoosh!
A piercing sonic boom tore through the air—just as Old Goldwing had boasted, his speed was absolutely insane now! In a split second, he could cross tens of thousands of meters, almost like teleporting!
Evan had only just finished retreating—he’d barely settled onto Old Goldwing’s back, his earth element and Starforge Body only starting to stir—yet Old Goldwing was already charging headlong into the elemental beast horde, unstoppable!
The distance widened in an instant—before the elemental beasts could even blink, Old Goldwing had practically blasted Evan right out of the pack!
"Boss, you fall back—leave the rest to me!"
Evan was just snapping out of his shock when he saw an even bigger swarm of elemental spirit beasts charging his way.
But this time, Evan was delighted. He spotted metal, wood, earth, and even lightning elemental spirit beasts...
Crack, crack, crack—boom!
Shadow’s body swelled in size. With a mighty swipe of his claws, he sent over a dozen elemental spirit beasts flying.
Just as Evan instructed, Shadow didn’t hurt them—he simply cleared the way, opening a path. The control he showed was perfect; even Evan couldn’t help but marvel.
Old Goldwing kept carrying Evan forward, covering an incredible distance—almost as far as from the secret realm’s entrance to where they’d first encountered the elemental spirit beasts.
As they pressed deeper, the elemental aura in the air grew thicker and heavier—even Evan felt the mounting pressure.
Elemental power inside his body began to stir restlessly, as if summoned by some mysterious force.
"Not good! Old Goldwing, Shadow—fall back, now!"
Sensing danger, Evan quickly drew the Frostblade Divine Sword and slashed through the air.
Absolute Slash!
Boom! A deafening crash rang out. Evan saw a massive beast—its eyes blazing with fiery red light, lightning crackling across its body, gusts of wind swirling at its feet, and thick earth element aura surrounding it. Its arms were covered in icy thorns, and a yellow earthen glow formed a barrier around it.
Roar!~
"Pathetic human! You dare disturb my meditation—die!"
It could speak human language and gather all those elemental powers—was this the true secret of the secret realm?
Just as Evan had that thought, the elemental giant beast’s attack followed instantly.
Its attacks were wild and chaotic—just raw, overwhelming power, impenetrable defenses, and terrifying speed.
The lightning element made its strikes faster than light itself, while the wind element turned its massive form into a blur.
Flames spewed constantly from its eyes, threatening to scorch anything off guard. The icy thorns on its arms could freeze its prey in place with a single punch—leaving them helpless for the kill.
As for counterattacks… Even Evan’s all-out Absolute Slash, fired with perfect timing, couldn’t break through the beast’s defenses.
"Old Goldwing, fall back!"
Evan kept his eyes locked on the giant beast’s shifting afterimages, dodging and weaving atop Old Goldwing’s back. Luckily, Old Goldwing’s speed was truly monstrous—he hadn’t been exaggerating at all.
No matter how the elemental giant beast attacked, it couldn’t lay a finger on Evan.
"You bastards—die!"
The elemental giant beast roared, ramping up both its attack power and the intensity of its flames.
"We can’t fight head-on, but we can’t just do nothing either… If this keeps up, even Old Goldwing’s speed will run out eventually. As for that elemental giant beast…"
Suddenly, inspiration struck. Evan activated Lightshift, his whole body vanishing into thin air.
"Old Goldwing, Shadow—you two, fall back to the edge of the secret realm and wait for me!"
Evan sent the message with his divine sense, then flashed behind the elemental giant beast.
