First Official Date After Marriage

1/4/2026

Before Cecilia Gu could say anything, Sylvia Ran had already admitted fault first, leaving Cecilia speechless.

What else could she say?

Keep arguing?

Or just accept Sylvia Ran’s so-called apology?

Seeing that Cecilia Gu didn’t respond, Sylvia Ran kept going: “Cecilia, if you’re upset, just tell me! Why do you have to embarrass me like this? Boo hoo… I did it for your own good, I know you don’t like me, I know I annoy you. But… but…”

Sylvia Ran shifted all the blame onto Cecilia Gu, looking at Charles Yin with a pitiful, silent expression.

Cecilia Gu honestly couldn’t be bothered to watch Sylvia Ran’s performance any longer.

What should have been a romantic moment instantly lost its magic as soon as Charles Yin said it.

Fine, I’ll take the hint.

Without another word, Cecilia Gu turned to leave.

But as she walked past Charles Yin, her wrist was suddenly grabbed tightly!

Cecilia Gu’s body froze in place.

His long, narrow eyes narrowed, and beneath his distinct lashes, his gaze shimmered like spring water. His voice, almost pleading, carried a soothing undertone: "Wherever you're going, I'll go with you."

Cecilia Gu couldn’t help but roll her eyes inwardly. How could she ever dream of the mighty CEO’s company?

Wasn’t she over there just waiting eagerly?

Cecilia Gu answered in a clear voice: “No need, you’re busy enough. I rushed the Yun Family’s accounts yesterday, so I need to go and sort them out today.”

Hearing Cecilia Gu mention going to the Yun Family, Charles Yin couldn’t help but feel a little jealous.

Is the Yun Family really that great, that she keeps running over there again and again?

Can’t this home hold her at all?

Cecilia Gu tried to shake off Charles Yin’s hand, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t pry his grip open.

She glared up at Charles Yin in defiance.

Seeing Cecilia Gu’s angry face, Charles Yin remained unmoved and domineeringly said, “I’m not busy, I’ll go with you! Rona, Shang Ke said you should stay and help me, so today just focus on setting up the house… Everything should be to Cecilia’s liking, don’t worry about mine.”

With that, Charles Yin turned and left, still holding Cecilia Gu’s wrist.

Rona Muir answered happily, “Sure! Since you both trust me so much, I definitely won’t let you down!”

Sylvia Ran stood frozen, the color draining from her face.

Charles Yin actually humiliated her in public for that woman!

What should have been a romantic moment instantly lost its magic as soon as Charles Yin said it.

No, I don’t believe it!

That can’t be true!

Rona Muir crossed her arms and looked at Sylvia Ran, her gaze sharp. "Alright, Miss Ran, you don’t need to trouble yourself here! Please, go ahead."

Sylvia Ran shot Rona Muir a fierce glare, but quickly masked it with indifference. "Fine, it’s not like this is anything good anyway! If you like doing it, then go ahead!"

With that, Sylvia Ran turned and left.

Now Shang Ke was back in N City, and Qiao Qi had taken Die Yi to Sri Lanka.

With no one left to back her up, Sylvia Ran could only rely on herself now.

Charles Yin pulled Cecilia Gu into the car. Just as she was about to speak, he said, “We’re going to the movies tonight!”

Huh?!

Cecilia Gu raised her eyebrows instantly.

He just blurted out an order like that—what’s with the sudden change?

Charles Yin seemed a little awkward too.

He could already sense that Cecilia Gu was truly hostile toward Sylvia Ran.

But he’d also promised Shang Ke that he’d treat Sylvia Ran kindly.

Even though now, all he felt for Sylvia Ran was childhood friendship, he still couldn’t be too harsh with her…

If this had happened before, he wouldn’t have cared what those women thought! They could think whatever they wanted.

But now that it was Cecilia Gu, everything was different.

For some reason, Charles Yin didn’t want Cecilia Gu to misunderstand him.

But he couldn’t express his feelings directly, so he’d asked his assistants—only then did Charles Yin learn that couples were supposed to go shopping and watch movies together…

What was supposed to be romantic, once Charles Yin said it, instantly lost its charm.

Cecilia Gu just stared at Charles Yin, honestly feeling like he was a completely different species from her!

Weren’t we just talking about going to the Yun Family?

How did it suddenly turn into a movie date?

When did I ever say I wanted to watch a movie?

Cecilia Gu rubbed her forehead. Fine, she’d never understood what this man was thinking anyway…

Charles Yin drove steadily, ignoring the sports car’s performance for the sake of caution.

Because the person in the passenger seat was Cecilia Gu…

Charles Yin took Cecilia Gu straight to the Yun Family’s gate.

The Yun Family’s gatekeeper saw it was Cecilia Gu and Charles Yin, and didn’t dare stop them!

They opened the gate for them immediately!

Mr. and Mrs. Yun heard Cecilia Gu and Charles Yin had arrived, and were first surprised, then absolutely delighted!

They wished Cecilia Gu would come visit every day!

So after Charles Yin parked the car, before they even got out, Mr. and Mrs. Yun strode over: “Cecilia, why didn’t you tell us you were coming? We’ll build you a special path, so you won’t have to walk so far next time!”

Besides the parking lot, every surface at the Yun Family estate was covered with lawns and stone paths.

You could drive, but if you did, the lawns would be ruined.

So, everyone at the Yun Family walked home instead.

Cecilia Gu had been coming frequently these past few days, so Mr. Yun decided to build her a special path, so she wouldn’t have to walk so far and could drive right up to the inner courtyard.

Cecilia Gu unfastened her seatbelt, got out of the car, and replied with a smile, “That’s really not necessary. I’m only a little over four months along—no need to be so delicate! Look at my belly, it’s just starting to show. Plus, the doctor said walking is good for the pregnancy.”

Charles Yin got out too, just nodding coolly at Mr. and Mrs. Yun.

Honestly, he wasn’t impressed by the Yun Family at all.

If it weren’t for Cecilia Gu, he probably would never have set foot in the Yun Family his whole life.

To the Yin Consortium, the Yun Family wasn’t even worth a fingertip.

“Mr. Yin, your visit is a great honor.” Mr. Yun wiped his brow nervously—why was this big shot here too?

Seeing Charles Yin still acting cool, Cecilia Gu couldn’t help reaching out to pinch the flesh at his waist.

But after pinching for a while… What the heck, she couldn’t get a grip at all!

Charles Yin, does your body really have to be this perfect?

Not a single ounce of fat on his waist!!

Every part of him was firm, toned muscle!

Even though Cecilia Gu couldn’t pinch him at all, Charles Yin still understood what she meant.

Since Cecilia Gu had greeted them, Charles Yin couldn’t keep acting aloof. He nodded and said, “Sorry to bother you. Cecilia said the report she did for you yesterday was a bit rushed, so she brought you a new one today.”

Hearing this, Mr. and Mrs. Yun looked at Cecilia Gu with eyes full of love and kindness.

Cecilia Gu smiled and said, “Yeah, I ate two meals here yesterday. If I didn’t do something, I’d feel embarrassed! I thought about it after I got home and made some changes to the details—see if you think they’re okay.”

“Come on in, let’s talk inside.” Mr. Yun warmly invited Cecilia Gu and Charles Yin into the main house.

As Cecilia Gu took a step forward, she suddenly felt a strong arm wrap around her waist.

Charles Yin’s voice sounded in her ear: “What’s so great about pinching my waist? It’s way better to pinch the little mole’s waist…”

Cecilia Gu’s ears instantly turned bright red.

Come on!

I’m not flirting with you! I’m warning you!

Let go of me—there are so many people around!

No, seriously, let go of me! I’m still mad at you!

“Since my little mole likes pinching, I’ll let you pinch all you want when we get home.” Charles Yin added.

Jerk!! Does he have to be so… blunt?

Cecilia Gu shot Charles Yin a fierce glare and quickly caught up with Mr. and Mrs. Yun.

They had a snack at the Yun Family, dropped off the report, and before Cecilia Gu could even eat lunch, the impatient Charles Yin whisked her away.

With Charles Yin there, no matter how much Mrs. Yun wanted to keep her, she didn’t dare insist.

She could only watch Cecilia Gu leave, reluctant to see her go.

Standing on the street, Cecilia Gu stared blankly at the squeaky chicken in her hands.

What was Charles Yin thinking?

Did he really rush her out of the Yun Family just to buy her a… squeaky chicken?

What is Charles Yin even thinking?

Up ahead, Charles Yin was furiously typing a message to Little A: “Didn’t you say girls love getting gifts? Why does Cecilia look so confused?”

Little A was following at a distance, and when he saw the boss buy a squeaky chicken for the young mistress, he nearly dropped to his knees…

Dropped to his knees…

“Boss… why did you buy a squeaky chicken?” Little A replied, struggling to keep his composure. “Why not buy that teddy bear next to it?”

“It’s ugly.” Charles Yin replied.

Little A’s feelings at that moment…

Honestly, the squeaky chicken isn’t much better looking…

Annoyed, Charles Yin shoved his wallet into Cecilia Gu’s hand: “Just buy whatever you want!”

Shopping with women was such a hassle! Aren’t all these weird things pretty much the same? At least this chicken’s neck is kind of unique!!

Cecilia Gu stared at the wallet in her hand, finally realizing what was going on. She looked at Charles Yin with wide eyes: “Are you… are you on a date with me?”

Even Cecilia Gu thought this sounded a bit surreal.

Who would’ve thought Charles Yin would actually nod and admit it—cool as ever!

He actually admitted it!

Charles Yin didn’t think there was anything wrong with that. He raised an eyebrow and said, “Yeah, I’m shopping and dating with you. You can’t still be mad, right?”

Cecilia Gu was so shocked she could’ve dropped to her knees!

Charles Yin!
