Lucas Family Oath

12/19/2025

Regardless of whether Joe Di stopped, the fifth wave of blade force had already swept forth like a raging tide.

Blood mist exploded. This time, even the Realm Genesis cultivators had no ability to resist. Three Realm Fusion cultivators joined forces, but under this wave of blade force, only one survived.

Luke Jowan stared blankly at the chaos around him, blood and severed limbs everywhere, his whole body trembling. What kind of being had the Lucas Family provoked? Could Lucas Star, always aloof in the Five Elements Universe, still exist after today?

Joe Di did not unleash a sixth blade. He knew his strength was now on a completely different level than these legacy cultivators. His opponents now were Du Bu and Venerable Boshe, and even the Lucas Ancestor Lord.

The Lucas Family's legacy was formidable, but it all depended on who their opponent was.

"Who exactly are you..." Luke Jowan, despite being a Realm Fusion expert, finally regained his composure and stared at Joe Di. He knew that today, he was likely doomed. Even so, he wanted to know who had destroyed his Lucas Family and annihilated Lucas Star.

Joe Di smiled faintly. "Who I am is unimportant. What matters is that I spared you to ask about how the Lucas Family found the cultivator with Di bloodline."

Besides Joe Di and Luke Jowan, the only other survivor here was Di Qin. Di Qin stood with his mouth half open, still unable to react.

His slow reaction was understandable. Di Qin knew how many experts Lucas Star had, and their cultivation was something he could only dream of. Yet with so many experts working together, even aided by a killing array, they were still swept away by just a few waves of Joe Di's blade.

Could this Joe Di before him be the true ancestor of the Di Family? His mother once said the Di bloodline was an Opening Heaven legacy—was Joe Di the legendary Opening Heaven Ancestor of the Di Family?

"Daoist Di, our Lucas Family was in the wrong first. I only hope you will show mercy. Our Lucas Family is willing to swear a blood oath..." Luke Jowan's voice was dry. He knew whether anyone from the Lucas Family would survive now depended entirely on Joe Di. It was just like when the Lucas Family hunted every descendant of the Di bloodline—back then, the Lucas Family was strong, and no one dared defy them.

Now, Luke Jowan could only reveal the Lucas Family's bottom line. He had no room to bargain; whether Lucas Star would be spared was up to Joe Di.

"Speak. Why did your Lucas Family capture members of my Di Family? And what is this about my Di Family killing your people—where did it happen?" The last question was what Joe Di truly wanted to know.

Joe Di suspected that the conflict with the Lucas Family was likely caused by Di Wangchuan. If the Lucas Family was searching for Di Wangchuan, then so was he.

Luke Jowan replied respectfully, "Whenever a Lucas Family disciple is killed while away, the bloodline aura of the killer is immediately transmitted back."

"That's all?" Joe Di stared at Luke Jowan.

Luke Jowan nodded. "That's all."

Joe Di was disappointed, but it made sense. If the Lucas Family truly knew who was responsible, they wouldn't have gone to such great lengths.

Joe Di swept his divine sense across the planet—there were at least a million cultivators here. Should he destroy them all?

At this moment, Joe Di found himself admiring Ci. Back then, Ci wiped out the entire Extreme Bay Heavenly Sea without the slightest psychological burden.

After only a brief hesitation, Joe Di decided to wipe them out. It wasn't as if he hadn't done this before—he had once completely eradicated the Dayun Blade Sect. The only difference was, the Dayun Blade Sect had killed the Di Family's ancestor Di Yue and Di Zhishan's parents.

Now the Lucas Family wanted to kill, and it just so happened he encountered them.

If he didn't destroy Lucas Star today, any cultivator from Lucas Star could one day annihilate the Di Family. In a struggle of life and death, there was no room for mercy.

Luke Jowan clearly saw the killing intent in Joe Di's eyes. He knew Lucas Star's fate hung in the balance, so he quickly bowed and said, "Daoist Di, I understand your concerns. You fear that our Lucas Family will seek revenge for today. In truth, I can't guarantee we won't. But our family still has disciples outside, and even if you use bloodline hunting methods, our legacy ancestor, Duke Luya, is still out there. If Daoist Di is willing to spare Lucas Star, our family will bind ourselves with a bloodline oath."

Joe Di knew exactly what the Lucas Family bloodline oath meant: if any Lucas descendant dared seek revenge against a member of the Di Family, the oath would suppress them. Whatever was declared at the time of the oath would be enforced at the time of suppression.

"Very well, I agree." Joe Di said coolly. If Luke Jowan thought he could play tricks in front of him, he was dreaming.

If the Lucas Family kept their promise after swearing the oath, so be it. If not, they could not blame him for being ruthless.

"Thank you, Daoist Di." Luke Jowan bowed even more respectfully. After speaking, he spat out a mist of blood and solemnly declared, "I, Luke Jowan, hereby swear a blood oath: from this day forward, if any Lucas descendant dares to seek vengeance against a Di Family member, that descendant's blood and qi will explode and they will perish instantly, barred from reincarnation."

As he swore the oath, Luke Jowan continuously cast the Lucas Family bloodline seal into the blood mist. The oath formed a faint law aura, slowly merging with the surrounding void.

It looked like a poison oath, but Joe Di sneered inwardly—Luke Jowan was truly self-deluded. He had felt a bit guilty before, but after hearing this oath, Joe Di felt no guilt at all.

Joe Di was certain the Lucas Family could unilaterally break this blood oath. Luke Jowan thought he could hide it, but that was because he didn't know Joe Di cultivated the Dao of Laws. No rule or law could fool him. Moreover, Luke Jowan tried to be sly when swearing—he only bound the direct bloodline. What about those who weren't direct descendants? Both killers and victims would fall outside the oath.

As Luke Jowan swore the oath, Joe Di unhesitatingly infused one bloodline law after another, even sending a trace of the Di Family's Opening Heaven bloodline into the oath's law. With Luke Jowan's cultivation, he couldn't perceive Joe Di's bloodline laws.

From today onward, if Luke Jowan truly kept his oath, so be it. If he failed—even uttering a word about revenge against the Di Family—the blood oath law would erupt.

He had attained the Third Step in chaos and cultivated the Dao of Laws. For someone like Luke Jowan to play tricks before him was courting death. Not just Luke Jowan—even if Duke Luya himself came, Joe Di didn't think he was much inferior.

After swearing the blood oath, Luke Jowan cupped his fists to Joe Di, his tone even more respectful. "Daoist Di, I wonder if you are satisfied."

Joe Di nodded. "That will do."

With that, he waved his hand, taking Di Qin with him as he stepped off Lucas Star, vanishing in an instant.

Long after Joe Di disappeared, Luke Jowan's face turned pale and his limbs began to tremble. Though he had preserved the Lucas Family, after this battle, they no longer had any powerful Third Step cultivators.

He remained dazed for the time it takes half an incense stick to burn before suddenly slapping the formation flag beside his seat. A piercing alarm resounded throughout Lucas Star, and countless Lucas Family cultivators rushed into the Lucas Star Hall.

The Lucas Star Hall was clearly a spatial treasure; the more Lucas Family cultivators poured in, the larger the hall grew.

As he watched the cultivators rush in, most were only at the Realm Fusion stage. Luke Jowan's heart bled. All those who entered looked stunned, the ground littered with severed limbs. Not only that, among the once mighty Third Step experts of the Lucas Family, several heads were visible—just heads. No one spoke; everyone knew a great change had come to the Lucas Family.

An entire hour passed before Luke Jowan finally spoke, "Our Lucas Family has suffered a great calamity. Not long ago, someone came here and slaughtered all our Third Step experts as easily as killing chickens and dogs, leaving only me, Luke Jowan, barely surviving. Not only Third Step, but even Second Step cultivators—over a dozen—were slain by this person."
