Just as Ian Song and Xiang Shan had left Yangon Airport in a car, a gaunt man emerged from the shadows, watching their departing vehicle with a faint, sinister smile on his lips.
But he failed to notice that Ian Song, seated in the car, suddenly turned his head, his gaze seeming to pierce the darkness and land directly on him.
"So it really is a trap, huh?"
Ian Song muttered to himself, a faint sneer and a hint of killing intent appearing at the corner of his mouth.
"Did you notice something?" Xiang Shan asked.
"Yeah."
Ian Song nodded. "I felt we were being watched even when we boarded the plane, and now, right after landing, there's still someone keeping an eye on us. If my guess is right, their goal is to lure us into Blackfield."
"Could it be someone from Tiger Leopard Gate?" Xiang Shan said in a low voice.
Ian Song nodded. "That's very likely. It's been several days since I killed nine Tiger Leopard Gate experts at General Chachai's manor. As the saying goes, 'there are no secrets that don't leak out.' It's not hard for them to figure out that I was involved."
A worried look flashed across Xiang Shan's face. He pondered, "Since they dared to lure us to Blackfield, they must be very confident. There's a chance an Innate Ninth Layer expert might show up. If that happens, I might not be able to protect you!"
