Proposal: If You Do Not Marry Me, I Will Finally Marry No One

Lord Harold Chase? What is he doing at Feng Manor?

Serena Feng glanced at Prince Nolan, questioning him with her eyes. Prince Nolan calmly turned his face away, pretending not to notice.

All this fuss over Simon Sun, and now he’s being kicked out? Serena Feng was really starting to treat him as if he didn’t matter anymore.

Whenever she needs me, she thinks of me—hmph...

Fine, if she won’t say it, I’ll just invite him in myself.

Serena Feng shot Prince Nolan a glare, then ordered the butler to bring in Lord Harold Chase. Prince Nolan kept up his act, sitting there motionless as if he hadn’t heard a thing.

Annoyed as he was, Prince Nolan would never abandon Serena Feng. After all, Lord Harold Chase was a sly old fox, and Nolan worried Serena might suffer a loss at his hands.

Lord Harold Chase was quickly ushered in, accompanied by Charlotte Chu in a striking red dress.

"Lord Harold, Miss Charlotte." Serena Feng stood up early and went to the door to greet them.

"Miss Feng, you’re too polite." Lord Harold Chase replied warmly, beaming as he walked in. Spotting Prince Nolan seated in the main hall, he exaggerated a look of surprise before quickly regaining his composure. "I didn’t realize Prince Nolan was here. Forgive my lack of manners."

At this moment, anyone else would at least say, "Those who are unaware are not guilty," but Ninth Royal Uncle simply replied, "Mm," and then ignored Lord Harold Chu and Charlotte, distancing himself with cold indifference.

Lord Harold Chu and Charlotte exchanged a quick glance, forcing a bitter smile...

Ninth Royal Uncle cares about Serena Feng even more than they expected. It seems their move today was a good one.

Whether it was because Ninth Royal Uncle was present or for another reason, Lord Harold Chu quickly exchanged a few pleasantries with Serena before getting straight to the point: "Miss Feng, I won’t hide it from you. I came here today with something to discuss. The other day, Little Divine Doctor Simon Sun saved my life on the road. If it weren’t for him, I would’ve died out there. I am deeply grateful for his help and have always wanted to thank him in person."

Charlotte had used this reason before—it’s perfectly reasonable, but coming at this critical moment makes Serena wary. Ninth Royal Uncle had just mentioned using Simon for a marriage alliance, and now Lord Harold Chu shows up.

Serena smiled and said, "Lord Chu, you’re exaggerating. Simon saves people because it’s his duty as a physician, not for praise." Whether it was the daughter or the father, she had no intention of letting Simon meet them.

"Miss Feng, you’re right—I’m disturbing you. But... since I can’t thank Little Divine Doctor Simon in person, I won’t force it." Lord Harold Chu looked disappointed, then suddenly changed the topic: "Miss Feng, I know you’re Simon’s master. His parents are gone, so you can decide matters for him, can’t you?"

"Wait—" Serena immediately sensed trouble and tried to interrupt, but Lord Harold Chu paid no heed and continued, "Miss Feng, I won’t hide it from you. I only have one daughter, Charlotte, whom I’ve treasured since childhood. She’s inevitably a bit pampered, but..."

"Lord Chu..."

"Don’t worry, Miss Feng. My daughter may be a little spoiled, but she has a wonderful temperament—not only is she educated and literate, but also..."
