Everyone's hearts tightened; after all, this man was their direct superior. If things went sour, Mr. Su Yu could easily deal with them one by one.

So everyone immediately changed their attitude, warmly exchanging greetings with Mr. Su Yu and briefing him on the situation of the mathematics classes.

As everyone gathered around Mr. Su Yu chatting, Wang Shili was left standing alone, looking conspicuously isolated.

"No."

Su Li smiled faintly: "Since he wants to assert dominance over me first, why should I care to give him a ladder? So many have already climbed down on their own; why should he be the only one needing me to build a stage for him? If he can’t swallow his pride and insists on staying on top, then so be it. Respect is earned, not given. He steps on me, and I don’t bother him—that’s already generous. Now he wants me to help him step down? No way."

Lingdang nodded, finding Su Li’s reasoning very sensible, and remained quietly by Su Li’s side without saying more.

Meanwhile, Wang Shili was blinking his eyes at Mr. Su Yu so much they were nearly raw, but Mr. Su Yu didn’t even give him a glance, as if he didn’t exist at all.

While Wang Shili was hesitating, Master Su Yu and the others disappeared from sight.

Wang Shili stomped his foot hard, making up his mind. He simply didn’t like the new brash youngster, and since they had openly clashed on the first day, he might as well go all out, fight Su Yu to the end, and push him out of Wutong Academy!
