Seeing Leonard Long's expression, Ian Song couldn't help but smile. "Leonard, why haven't you made your move yet? I'm still waiting to take No. 6 leopard-lion home."
"Be careful."
Leonard Long gave a low shout and stepped forward again, activating his high-level martial skill, Radiant Flash Break.
A faint layer of green light appeared around him, and with a single breath he was in front of Ian Song, punching at Ian's abdomen as fast as lightning.
"I think you should hit the wall instead."
Ian Song's voice sounded at that moment.
Immediately, Leonard Long forcibly pulled back his fist and smashed it into the wall instead.
Boom!
The entire room shook violently. If its main structure hadn't been made of hardened alloy, it would have collapsed already.
Meanwhile, Leonard Long's expression darkened.
"Sorry, I accidentally succeeded again just now. How about you try one more time?" Ian Song smiled at Leonard Long.
Looking at Ian Song's smiling face, Leonard Long felt a chill in his heart. As a third-level War-General, even most two-star Psychic Adepts can't hypnotize him easily, yet Ian had managed to do it in an instant. That meant Ian's mental cultivation must be at least at the two-star level.
A two-star Psychic Adept is incredibly rare—even the main branch of a great family would go out of their way to befriend one.
"Uncle Long, what happened here?"
Just then, a clear and pleasant voice rang out, and a young woman in a red dress and another in a white dress walked in arm in arm.
Ian Song instinctively glanced at the two girls and was momentarily stunned. He had traveled through many worlds and seen all kinds of beauties, but even so, seeing these two made him feel a jolt of awe.
The girl in the red dress was lively and spirited, radiating an aura of energy like a dancing flame spirit.
The girl in the white dress was cold and elegant, exuding a frosty aura that warned others to keep their distance—like an ice spirit from the depths of a frozen land.
"Greetings, Seventh Miss and Ninth Miss."
The silver-haired elder quickly bowed in salute.
"No need to be so formal, Uncle Long. Please, stand up quickly," said the girl in red.
Both girls were members of the Wang Family, one of the Five Great Families of Plumridge City. The one in red was Tori Wang, and the one in white was Ivy Wang.
Their personalities matched their names—one was fiery and bold, the other cold as snow.
Tori Wang quickly scanned the room, then asked, "Uncle Long, what happened here?"
Leonard Long replied, "Ninth Miss, Landon Lu here wants to buy No. 6 leopard-lion, so I made a wager with him: if he can withstand three of my punches, he can take it away!"
"Wow, Uncle Long, that's really bullying! You're a third-level War-General—how could he possibly take three of your punches?" Tori Wang exclaimed in surprise.
Leonard Long blushed. "Ninth Miss, Landon Lu is truly remarkable. He's already taken two of my punches."
Tori Wang looked Ian Song up and down, curious. "So impressive? Are you a War-General too?"
"No, I'm just a seventh-level Warrior," Ian Song replied with a smile.
Tori Wang retorted angrily, "You're lying! If you're only a seventh-level Warrior, how could you take two of Uncle Long's punches without getting hurt?"
"Oh, and I'm also a Psychic Adept," Ian Song added. "When this elder attacked, I hypnotized him so his fist hit the wall instead!"
"So that's how it is!" Tori Wang exclaimed, her eyes lighting up with curiosity. "Uncle Long, you've only hit him twice, right? Hit him one more time so I can see how he hypnotizes you!"
"As you wish, Ninth Miss!"
With a swift shout, the silver-haired elder darted forward like lightning and aimed a palm strike at Ian Song's head.
"Go hit the wall!"
Ian Song called out.
Immediately, the silver-haired elder cooperatively dodged to the wall and slapped his palm against it.
"Wow, your hypnosis is amazing! You hypnotized Uncle Long just like that!" Tori Wang clapped her hands in excitement, her eyes sparkling. Even Ivy Wang, usually silent, raised her eyebrows slightly.
"Just lucky," Ian Song replied with a smile, then turned to the embarrassed Leonard Long. "That's three strikes—shouldn't I be allowed to take No. 6 leopard-lion now?"
"Rest assured, Landon Lu. Since I agreed, I'll keep my word." Leonard Long smiled. "By the way, Landon Lu, I've arranged a banquet. Why not stay and have a meal before you go?"
"Then I won't stand on ceremony," Ian Song nodded and accepted.
An hour later, the Wang Sisters and Leonard Long escorted Ian Song out of the arena. As for the leopard-lion, the staff had already delivered it to his villa ahead of time.
"Seventh Miss, Ninth Miss, what do you think of Landon Lu?" Leonard Long asked with a meaningful look.
"He's just average," Tori Wang replied.
Ivy Wang remained silent.
"How can you say he's just average? He's incredibly talented! He's only a one-star Psychic Adept, yet he could hypnotize me. Even most two-star Psychic Adepts can't do that when I'm on guard. His future prospects are limitless. You two should seize the opportunity!" Leonard Long said, looking at them with deep meaning.
With that, Leonard Long gave the two girls a meaningful glance.
"Uncle Long, what nonsense are you talking about!" Tori Wang protested coquettishly.
Ivy Wang replied coldly, "Until I become a two-star Psychic Adept, I won't let romantic feelings affect my cultivation."
Hearing this, Leonard Long secretly shook his head and said no more.
He had watched these sisters grow up, which was why he tried to give them advice. Since they didn't want to seize the opportunity, as a servant, he couldn't say any more.
Ian Song drove his hovercar back to the villa and found a huge cage covered in black cloth in the yard. Lifting the cloth, he saw the leopard-lion inside.
"Husband, you're back!"
Lynn Ning ran over to greet him.
"Look, I bought you a pet," Ian Song said.
With a tap, Ian Song shattered the alloy lock on the cage, and the leopard-lion strutted out boldly.
"It looks like both a lion and a leopard. What kind of animal is it?" Lynn Ning asked curiously.
"It's a species from another planet—called a leopard-lion," Ian Song replied.
"Come here."
Ian Song beckoned to the leopard-lion, but it just glanced at him and ignored him.
"Ha! Playing tough in front of me?"
Ian Song chuckled, reached out, and with an invisible force, lifted the leopard-lion and tossed it to their feet.
"Remember, from now on you need to guard the house properly. If you slack off in the arena again, I'll smack you dead!" Ian Song threatened.
"Husband, don't be so fierce! You're scaring it!" Lynn Ning protested.
"Don't worry, it won't be scared that easily," Ian Song said with a smile, then walked inside with Lynn Ning.
