Trial of the Alchemical Gate

Countless milky-white larvae sprayed out from him. Leon, now drained of magic, quickly gathered all the poisonous larvae into a crystal vial, capped it tightly, and set it aside.

After expelling all the poisonous insects, Constantine remained kneeling on the ground, retching uncontrollably. He vomited until nothing but bile came out, and even when there was nothing left, he continued to dry heave...

Several young Swordmasters nearby watched, their faces pale. The memory of those disgusting insects made them gag, but all four wore a hint of relief—thankfully, their poisoning wasn't severe.

Raymond finally let out a long sigh of relief. He could sense that although Constantine looked like he'd vomited his very soul, his vitality had stabilized, and his Undying Aura was no longer being depleted. This meant the poison was completely purged.

"Archmage Leon, we truly owe you this time. If not for your swift response, Constantine might have died right here.

To watch my own junior die before my eyes—I can't even imagine it. When I return to Hidden Mountain, I don't know how I'll face the Abbot..."

Raymond looked on the verge of tears. Constantine's poisoning had terrified him; that sense of utter helplessness was something he'd never want to experience again...

Leon shook his head.

"Raymond, you're too kind. Since I gave you my word, I would do everything in my power."
