Joe Di's Tactics

12/19/2025

Joe Di grew excited. He didn't care about what would happen between the Purelight Sect and Jaden Dai, but since Jaden Dai wasn't at his lair, Joe Di could take the opportunity to collect some interest.

Joe Di had no intention of exchanging pleasantries with these cultivators any longer. After leaving the lounge, he immediately went to purchase a jade slip containing an introduction to the Void Sea.

After reading the introduction to the Void Sea, Joe Di realized that reaching the Void Sea was not as simple as he had thought.

Joe Di didn't even know if the Void Sea was inside the Dao Domain—the jade slip wasn't clear about this either. There were two ways to reach the Void Sea. The first was through a teleportation array owned by the Five Grand Sects of the Dao Domain. This array did not directly send one to the Void Sea, but instead to the exit of the Dao Domain's boundary formation, where one could leave the Dao Domain via merchant ships or by forming a team.

The second route required crossing Lostlake. Don't be fooled by the name 'lake'—even without seeing this jade slip, Joe Di already knew about Lostlake.

The Dao Domain has many seas, but none can be found within Lostlake. The largest area in the Dao Domain is not land, nor is it sea, but Lostlake. It gets its name because, upon entering, the only thing one can do is search for an exit.

Because there is lake water in every direction, it is impossible to know where the land or the way out is.

Joe Di estimated that the battle between Jaden Dai and the Purelight Sect would not end quickly. If Jaden Dai won, he would surely plunder the Purelight Sect.

Lostlake, also known as the Lake of the Lost, is a name that means once you enter, you never come out.

If you truly manage to cross Lostlake, you will see the remnants of the Dao Domain's boundary formation on the other side. It is said that from there, one can leave the Dao Domain and head for the Void Sea.

The Void Sea is described as a truly wondrous place, for it does not exist on any land or star continent—it is suspended within the void itself. The Void Sea is vast and boundless; even something as large as Lostlake would vanish without a trace within its expanse.

Once the Portal Array was in place, Joe Di carefully surveyed the terrain around Harmony Hall and studied its protective array. He decided to use the Five Direction Banners to set up a peak sixth-tier Blast Array core, then arrange a series of Blast Arrays to create a chain explosion.

Joe Di felt helpless. If he wanted to reach the Void Sea, his only choice was to leave through Lostlake. As for borrowing the teleportation array from the Five Grand Sects, he could forget about it.

Harmony Hall’s protective array was a fifth-tier divine array. Joe Di could set up such an array himself, given enough time. Using the Cloudrealm Banner, he slipped easily into the protective array surrounding Harmony Hall.

Moreover, even the Five Grand Sects must brave immense danger when heading for the Void Sea. Being teleported to the edge of the Dao Domain’s boundary formation is only the beginning; from there, one must still leave the Dao Domain and traverse the vast void to search for the Void Sea.

......

Harmony Hall, even if not the most saturated with divine spirit energy in the Dao Domain, is still one of the best places for cultivation.

The Dao Domain is vast and boundless, yet truly excellent places are rare. For a place like Harmony Hall, the surrounding area would normally be filled with bustling trading posts and even numerous Dao Cities.

Yet within a million miles around Harmony Hall, there are no trading posts or Dao Cities at all. The reason is simple—the master of Harmony Hall does not like them.

Joe Di arrived at Harmony Hall two days later. After preparing everything, he paid the highest price to travel through several teleportation arrays, reaching the Dao City closest to Harmony Hall, and then used the Laws of Escape to reach the outskirts of Harmony Hall.

Seeing Harmony Hall, Joe Di couldn't help but feel envious. Even while standing far outside the mountain gate's protective array, he could sense the overwhelming concentration of divine spirit energy here.

Setting up a few Blast Arrays inside Harmony Hall was just an appetizer. After leaving, Joe Di began frantically inscribing all kinds of Law Array Banners around Harmony Hall. He also scattered tangible array banners everywhere. His sole goal was to completely raze Harmony Hall to the ground.

For two days straight, Joe Di set up over a hundred fourth-tier Blast Arrays. If he weren’t worried about Jaden Dai’s sudden return, he would have kept going for another day.

But this should be enough. These hundred-plus Blast Arrays formed a massive chain, and once triggered, there was also a core sixth-tier divine array at the center. Joe Di was curious to see what kind of chaos such an explosion would cause.

Joe Di didn't doubt this for a moment. Others might not have many treasures, but Jaden Dai certainly did. Not to mention the Immortal Spirit Vein Jaden Dai left behind in Harmony Hall—it was enough to make anyone gasp in awe. The Five Direction Banners were innate treasures, and Jaden Dai was even willing to part with those.

If Jaden Dai's puppets in the four great Immortal Domains hadn't been destroyed by Joe Di, Jaden Dai would have even more treasures—like the Fourfold Divine Cauldron that anchors the fate of the Quadrant Immortal Continent, or the Thunder Pearl of Thundercrest Immortal Domain.

If there really were treasures in this place, Joe Di was determined to take them after destroying Harmony Hall.

Joe Di estimated that the battle between Jaden Dai and the Purelight Sect would not end quickly. If Jaden Dai won, he would surely plunder the Purelight Sect.

The Purelight Sect was one of the Five Great Sects and extremely powerful. By rights, they shouldn't lose. If the Purelight Sect won, Jaden Dai would seek the safest place to heal his wounds and wouldn't return to Harmony Hall so soon.

If Jaden Dai were injured and still fled back to Harmony Hall to heal, he would be truly foolish. Joe Di didn't believe the Purelight Sect was that soft. If Jaden Dai provoked them, got hurt, and was allowed to leave without the sect coming to his lair for payback, then Joe Di could only scoff at such a sect. How could a sect that soft become one of the Five Great Sects?

To be safe, Joe Di set up a Portal Array several million miles away from Harmony Hall. This array was activated using a teleport beacon, since he couldn’t craft top-grade escape talismans. His only option was to use the Portal Array to flee the area if needed.

He had plenty of treasures on hand, so setting up high-tier Blast Arrays was no problem at all.

Harmony Hall’s protective array was a fifth-tier divine array. Joe Di could set up such an array himself, given enough time. Using the Cloudrealm Banner, he slipped easily into the protective array surrounding Harmony Hall.

Seeing what was inside Harmony Hall’s protective array, Joe Di envied Jaden Dai’s wealth even more. The area around Harmony Hall was filled with Essence Trees, and the plaza was paved with Azure Jade. Joe Di even spotted two Wayfruit Trees outside Harmony Hall.

If Joe Di hadn’t worried about alerting the cultivators inside Harmony Hall, he would have dug up those Wayfruit Trees and left. But he decisively gave up the idea, knowing he couldn’t take the trees without anyone noticing.

Inside Harmony Hall’s protective array, Joe Di spent a whole day setting up a peak sixth-tier Blast Array core. He planted all four Five Direction Banners beneath the core. Since the banners were innate treasures, Joe Di wasn’t worried about them being destroyed by the explosions. If they could be shattered, they wouldn’t be so valuable.

After setting up the Blast Array core, Joe Di placed another Blast Array at the foundation of Harmony Hall’s protective array.

The greatest advantage of the Path of Laws was the ability to blend into the rules of heaven and earth. Joe Di set up several Blast Arrays, even placing one at the base beneath Harmony Hall, yet not a single cultivator noticed what he was doing.

Clearly, Jaden Dai hadn’t entrusted the grand array to any of his subordinates. He probably didn’t want anyone else to have full control over the protective array of his residence. Otherwise, even with Joe Di’s mastery of the Path of Laws, he wouldn’t have been able to evade all the cultivators in Harmony Hall.
