Success and Failure in a Moment

Wood chips were still swirling in midair.

Dust billowed up, caught in the pale light.

The basketball hoop here was already old, and now, separated from the backboard, it looked shockingly dramatic at first glance.

Hank Chu stood there, unable to say a word.

The others nearby were all left utterly stunned.

A single dunk, and the hoop was ripped right off—just how much strength did that take?

And it was a dunk, too!

A guy not even six feet tall, slamming it home despite heavy defense—this was freakish!

'No way...' Jason Jiang stood to the side, staring at Warren Wu lying on the ground, muttering to himself.

Most people didn’t know how strong Warren Wu was, but Jason Jiang did.

Ever since elementary school, Warren Wu had undergone all kinds of military-style training. Whether it was strength or endurance, he always scored top marks.

So when Evan Lin sent Warren Wu flying in midair, the others were shocked and amazed, but for Jason Jiang, it was pure terror.

'Seriously? That’s possible?' Jason Jiang’s face was ghostly pale.

Selina Shi stood off to the side, her eyes flashing with something unreadable as she watched Evan Lin’s back.

'This hoop’s busted. Let’s use the other one.'

Evan tossed the ball down beside Warren Wu and turned to head for the other basket.

Just as Evan turned, Allen Ju stepped forward, shaking his head: 'No need. We lost.'

His voice was steady, with little sign of disappointment—if anything, it sounded complicated.

'Come on, Allen, you can’t just give up!' Jason Jiang’s face changed as he heard Allen Ju’s words, suddenly anxious.
