Chapter 1289
One was a cheetah covered in a metallic hide, over six meters long, with two weapon systems mounted on its shoulders. The last one was humanoid, standing eight meters tall and wielding two enormous swords—each a meter wide and six meters long.
As soon as the three Sky Rank alchemical golems appeared, Hubert couldn't sit still. His eyes darted around, and he shamelessly sidled up next to Leon.
"Lord Merlin, there are three Sky Rank alchemical golems coming our way, and none of them look easy to handle. That silver hunk of metal—well, you spent a lot of time making him, right? Even though he’s reached Sky Rank, he’s only got two arms. But look at that big guy—eight arms!
Each arm is thicker than the silver hunk’s waist. He could probably smack us dead with one swipe. If all three attack together, it’ll only take a few seconds to wreck your hard work, Lord Merlin…"
Anderson’s three faces all stared at Hubert in astonishment. Even Reina couldn’t help but turn and glance at him.
"Damn it, when did Hubert get less stupid?"
Hubert pretended not to hear Anderson’s insult, making exaggerated faces as he squeezed closer to Leon.
"Lord Merlin, I have to say—your most loyal subordinate, the great Hubert, can’t just stand by and watch your hard work get smashed. So, I’ll reluctantly go help out that silver hunk, even though he’s got a terrible temper and a head full of metal…"
Leon glanced down at the situation and nodded.
