"You think you can take me?" Ryan Ling smirked coldly, then shot the thug a deadly glare. Instantly, the guy exploded on the spot—his body and even his axe shattered into dust.
"Did he just kill with a look?" The thugs froze, realizing this newcomer was no ordinary fighter.
"What are you idiots panicking for? Get him! Whoever kills that servant gets ten million cash!" One-Eye Drake was practically drooling. To him, Angie Chen was already in the bag, and Rose Yates was next—he'd already planned out how he'd play with both. But suddenly, Ryan Ling crashed the party, and Drake was pissed. Even if Ryan was some god come down to earth, Drake was determined to crush him.
The thugs around were all here to loot anyway, and the moment they heard that kind of money, their eyes went wild. Who cared about dying now? They all swarmed Ryan Ling like rabid dogs.
With so many of them, none of these guys thought they could lose!
Inside, Rose Yates suddenly yelled, "I don't care who you are—just get Angie out of here! Please, I'm begging you!"
"Shut up, you damn widow!" One-Eye Drake snapped, swinging a slap straight at her.
On nearby rooftops, a bunch of rich heirs were thinking the same thing: grabbing Angie and running was the smartest move right now.
But to everyone's surprise, Angie didn't budge—and neither did that young guy with her. In fact, it looked like Ryan was gearing up to take on the whole Heavenly Fiend Alliance.
"Are you stupid? Can't you see how bad things are? Run, you idiot!"
"Yeah, get Angie out of here, please—Grandpa, I'm begging you!"
"No way I'm letting Angie fall into that bastard One-Eye Drake's hands!"
All around, the rich kids were shouting, but the mob of thugs was already charging Ryan with axes and blades. They weren't just plenty in number—some were Green-Realm masters, some Blue-Realm, but mostly they just had numbers on their side. Easily over a hundred were coming at him from all directions. One-Eye Drake's reputation clearly ran deep.
"All of you—DIE!" Ryan Ling roared, tearing through the crowd like a hurricane.
One second!
Two seconds!
Three seconds!
In the time it takes for a normal person to blink three times or say a sentence, every single one of those hundred-plus attackers lost their heads. And Ryan? He looked like he'd just gone for a casual stroll.
In that instant, One-Eye Drake was totally dumbfounded, and the other tycoons nearby just stared in shock. It was like watching the Grim Reaper harvest souls—Ryan killed like it was nothing.
"Who is that kid? Quick, check his name!" Several sharp-minded tycoons immediately shouted, realizing Ryan's arrival had flipped the Chen Family's doomsday scenario.
Here in the provincial capital, even the tiniest move could shake everything up—let alone a top-tier fighter suddenly dropping in. Anything could change in a heartbeat.
In a flash, the name "Ryan Ling" popped up on every tycoon's screen, along with news that he'd taken down North America's number-one Chinese master, Tiger Hua.
"Who... who the hell are you?" One-Eye Drake stared at Ryan Ling in terror.
"What’s the point of telling a dead man my name?" Ryan Ling sneered, sword-qi already aimed at Drake's forehead.
"Wait! I'm the Heavenly Fiend Alliance's second-in-command! You wouldn't dare kill me!" One-Eye Drake tried to act tough, chin held high.
"Die!" Ryan Ling didn't hesitate—a beam of sword-qi shot straight through Drake's forehead.
One-Eye Drake dropped dead at Ryan's feet, just like that.
"Pathetic. Killing you is disgusting!" Ryan Ling kicked the corpse away in contempt.
"Rose!" Angie Chen rushed to Rose Yates, but no matter how she tried, she couldn't help her up—Rose was badly hurt.
"Ryan, help me get Rose up!" Angie shouted.
Ryan didn't hesitate and rushed over. Rose's body was stiff from chaotic sword-qi, and as Ryan helped her up, he couldn't help but notice—this woman was seriously hot. Early thirties, mature in all the right ways, enough to make a guy drool. Thanks to One-Eye Drake's rough handling, her collar was torn open.
Right now, Rose couldn't move at all—she couldn't even cover herself. Ryan got a full view, and the little sister-in-law's cheeks flushed red.
"Angie, help me!" Rose called out urgently.
Angie got the hint and quickly helped cover Rose up.
"Angie, your sister-in-law's internal injuries are serious—she needs urgent treatment!" Ryan checked with wood-element qi and immediately sensed multiple internal bleeding points.
"Forget about me for now—your dad and second uncle are inside, and they've all been poisoned. Go check on them!" Rose gasped through the pain.
"Dad! Uncle!" Hearing that, Angie dropped everything and rushed inside.
Rose couldn't move, and with her injuries, Ryan couldn't just leave her—he had to support her. But right now, Rose's leg was so stiff she couldn't even walk.
