Chapter 1026: The Gate

Everyone wanted to claim another slot—after all, the more people you brought into the Sanctuary, the stronger your position would be. Now that Diras had suddenly spoken up, the leaders of several factions lit up with anticipation.

Right, we don’t have enough slots. Why not just take Andalusia’s? They can’t even gather enough Mana Crystals, so isn’t this the perfect opportunity handed to us?

The leader of Skyhold Fortress was the first to speak.

“You can’t even collect enough Mana Crystals, so you don’t deserve to claim a region. You’re holding all of us back. I never thought Cloudspire Tower and the Black Tower could be so useless. Truly disappointing—you only managed to hunt down nine Mana Crystals between you.

That’s weaker than even those factions from Odin Kingdom who aren’t qualified to enter the Blazeforge Battlefield. Andalusia Kingdom has really fallen this far—it’s just pathetic.”

The leader of Dunespire Tower, who rarely spoke, finally rasped out a comment.

“If you can’t gather enough Mana Crystals, then give up your slots. Don’t waste everyone’s time.”

The prince of Odin Kingdom nodded, his gaze cold as he looked at Cloudspire Tower and the Black Tower.

“I’d heard Cloudspire Tower and the Black Tower were supposed to be powerful. Seeing them now—well, hearing a hundred rumors is nothing compared to witnessing it for yourself. With strength this weak, you wouldn’t even survive in Odin Kingdom. You’d be wiped out in three days.”

Give up your slots and stop holding everyone back. If you ask me, your two factions should just stay outside and gather resources—don’t follow us, it’s suicide, and you’ll only drag us down with you.”

Several factions from Odin Kingdom all chimed in, berating Cloudspire Tower and the Black Tower for being too weak and a burden to everyone.

Joey and Heron were so furious they nearly spat blood.

Both of their faces turned ugly, but they couldn’t find any excuse to refute it. They really couldn’t gather enough Mana Crystals, yet still wanted to claim a region—honestly, they were dragging everyone down.

Leon alone had brought out twenty Mana Crystals. The Odin Kingdom factions couldn’t complain, but Joey and Heron’s groups had only managed nine together—not even close to the thirty-six needed. At this rate, no one would get into the Sanctuary.

Seeing everyone’s support, Diras immediately jumped out, pointing at Leon and his group.

“Hand over your Mana Crystals and get out. Don’t drag everyone down. Because of you, none of us can enter the Sanctuary—the consequences aren’t something you can afford.”

If this keeps up, don’t blame us for getting rough. Are you trying to get us all killed?”

Diras brandished his staff, his shadow cloak flaring—clearly ready to force the entire Andalusia contingent out right now.

Joey and Heron’s faces flushed red with anger. As masters of Cloudspire Tower and the Black Tower, when had they ever been cornered like this—especially for being too weak?

Leon stared impassively at the Odin Kingdom mages.

“What’s the rush? Andalusia still has one more faction that hasn’t arrived.”

Diras snorted coldly, pressing the attack.

“What do you mean, one hasn’t arrived? Everyone’s here. If there’s one missing, that means they’re all dead. Andalusia’s country bumpkins are weak as hell. Letting you into the Blazeforge Battlefield was a huge mistake. Now you’re holding us back—ditching you is the best option.

Hmph, still clinging to hope for that last faction? Don’t kid yourself—those purebred Andalusia weaklings are probably long dead. Even if they aren’t all wiped out, they’re half-crippled by now, just like Cloudspire Tower and the Black Tower. Forget about scraping together five Mana Crystals.

It’s only the Merlin Family that seems to know some trick for hunting magical beasts. Don’t think I don’t know about your deals with the Henry Family.

If not for that, you weaklings wouldn’t have even half the Mana Crystals you do…"

Diras sneered, and the other Odin Kingdom factions stayed silent, tacitly approving his actions.

At that moment, Dida La stepped forward, ordering Diras to back down before addressing Leon and his group.

“Since you won’t give up the third region, then at least give up some slots. We don’t have time to wait for you. I’ll cover the missing five Mana Crystals, and I’ll allocate ten slots myself.”

Your three factions get three slots. The remaining seven go to Odin Kingdom’s forces.”

With just one sentence, Dida La shrank Andalusia Kingdom’s slots to three, while Odin Kingdom’s slots jumped to twenty-seven.

With such a huge gap, it was clear Andalusia Kingdom wouldn’t gain anything this time. With only three people, Odin Kingdom could easily wipe them out without lifting a finger.

Faced with these harsh terms, there was no way Leon and his allies would agree.

Before Dida La could finish, Heron blurted out in shock.

“No way! We’re not giving up the third region—three slots? You must be dreaming!”

Dida La sneered, instantly unleashing his aura at Heron, his eyes cold and murderous.

“What? Not giving up your slots? Are we all supposed to wait here for you to gather Mana Crystals? Wait for the Blazeforge Orcs to beat us to it? Put us at a total disadvantage?

Either you gather the Mana Crystals now, or you give up your slots. We’re not going to sit here waiting for you forever!

With strength this weak, keeping your slots is a waste. Better to let someone stronger handle the Blazeforge Orcs!”
