"Didn't Cyril Shaw return? Why hasn't he shown up?" As soon as Evan Yang and his group entered, Ronald Santos couldn't resist sneering.
The Star Lord frowned, glancing at Landon Lynn. Weren't they supposed to return together? Only one showed up. He was puzzled.
Landon Lynn quickly stepped forward and explained, "Star Lord, Cyril Shaw is still unwell and is bedridden at the moment. I ask for your understanding."
"Is that so?" The Star Lord asked, suspicious.
Ronald Santos, knowing Cyril Shaw definitely couldn't get up, feigned surprise and asked, "Landon Lynn, is the Shaw Patriarch really poisoned?"
"Yes. It's Blood Centipede poison," Landon Lynn replied coldly.
Everyone around was shocked. Blood Centipede was a deadly toxin—even Out-of-Body experts could hardly recover, sometimes falling into permanent comas.
The Star Lord was surprised. "Blood Centipede? How could it appear on Northridge Star?"
"I have no idea," Landon Lynn replied.
Ronald Santos was secretly alarmed. How did they know it was Blood Centipede? Especially since the centipede was no longer in the Shaw Family—how did they figure it out? His suspicion gnawed at him, making him wonder if Landon Lynn and Evan Yang had some hidden method or inside information.
Maintaining a calm expression, Ronald Santos asked, "Landon Lynn, could you be mistaken? How could there possibly be a Blood Centipede here?"
"You know better than anyone whether it's a mistake," Landon Lynn said coldly.
"What do you mean by that?" Ronald Santos shouted, surprised by Landon Lynn's implication.
The Star Lord and the other clan members looked on suspiciously, wondering what Landon Lynn meant. Judging by the Santos Family's reaction, it seemed the two families were about to clash.
"I mean nothing by it. If you haven't done anything wrong, there's no need to be so nervous," Landon Lynn replied coldly.
Ronald Santos stared at Landon Lynn and said, "Landon Lynn, you'd better not slander me. Otherwise, the Santos Family won't stand for it."
Just as Landon Lynn was about to reply, the Star Lord interjected, "Are you two finished?"
With the Star Lord's words, the crowd quieted, Landon Lynn calmed down, and Ronald Santos and his group also became more composed.
Seeing everyone had calmed down, the Star Lord announced, "Tomorrow, the first seed from Group One will face the first seed from Group Two; Group Three's first seed will face Group Four's first seed; Group Five's first seed will face Group One's second seed; Group Two's second seed will face Group Three's second seed; Group Four's second seed will face Group Five's second seed."
The round-robin matches would proceed in this way. Evan Yang, as Group Three's first seed, would face Group Four's first seed, making him the second match of the day.
