Battle Against the God-Emperor

1/19/2026

From Ray Lee’s perspective, Evan Chu was completely locked down by his Space Domain. Even if Evan could withstand the domain’s crushing pressure, moving his body was nearly impossible—Ray Lee was convinced that one sword strike would be enough to end this arrogant upstart.

He didn’t even bother to use his full strength. For a God-Emperor to go all out against an early-stage God-Lord was laughable overkill. Ray Lee’s attention was already wandering toward Lena Zhong, not far away.

But as Ray Lee’s attack swept in, Evan Chu instantly pulled out the Snowbound Divine Sword that Blue-Shade God-Venerable had gifted him. Instantly, a bone-chilling cold swept through the space, as if it could freeze a thousand miles—anyone nearby would shudder uncontrollably.

Now this was a true divine sword. Just revealing it radiated terrifying power. Evan couldn’t help but wonder: When would his Frostbane Divine Sword recover its original might? It seemed the weapon’s spirit was still missing—where had it gone? Absurdly enough, he was pondering this even as battle raged.

He flashed forward, slashing out with the Snowbound Divine Sword, channeling his Chaos Arm into Divine Cleave. Evan had considered risking the Blood Bead and unleashing Absolute Cleave, but at the last second, he held back—unless absolutely necessary, he wouldn’t expose such a signature move. If any hidden observers were watching, revealing Absolute Cleave could spell disaster for his true identity.

Ray Lee himself probably wouldn’t recognize him, but Evan’s real fear was the hidden eyes always lurking in the God Realm. If he was exposed now, his safety would be truly hanging by a thread.

Ray Lee was stunned. How could Evan Chu, trapped inside his Space Domain, move so freely and unleash such a powerful attack? This was totally unheard of—even late-stage God-Kings would be heavily restricted in his domain. This kid was just freakish.

Their attacks collided in an instant. At that moment, Ray Lee’s Space Domain collapsed, and a deafening boom shook the mountain. Sword-qi exploded into a raging energy storm, tearing rocks and weeds from the mountaintop—heaven and earth seemed to tremble at the force.

Evan Chu was blasted back dozens of meters before he managed to steady himself, his chest heaving, blood and qi surging chaotically. Finally, he couldn’t hold it in—he spat out a mouthful of golden blood, his heart pounding in shock.

That was one of the strongest attacks he could muster, yet Ray Lee had broken it almost effortlessly. The gap between God-Lord and God-Emperor was still terrifying—these kinds of powerhouses weren’t to be provoked lightly.

But Ray Lee was also blasted back more than ten meters by Evan’s attack, his own chest rising and falling as his blood and qi churned. The shock in his heart was even greater than Evan’s—how could an early-stage God-Lord, an ant in his eyes, actually shake him and make his blood surge? This kid’s attack power was off the charts.

But when he saw Evan spit out golden blood, Ray Lee was utterly stunned, staring at Evan as if his brain couldn’t process it. Finally, he couldn’t help but demand, "Who the hell are you, kid? Why do you have golden blood?"

Evan quickly circulated his Chaos Divine Power, settling his churning blood and qi until he gradually returned to normal. The clash had left him with serious internal injuries, but his wood element was frantically healing him, and his monstrous recovery ability had already fixed most of the damage.

"Who am I? You’re not qualified to know," Evan sneered. "Of course, if you kill yourself right now, maybe I’ll tell you a heaven-shaking secret. Want to know? Then go ahead and do it!"

Ray Lee stared at Evan. "Kid, are you crazy? You actually say such nonsense? You want me to kill myself? I’ve got a thousand ways to pry your secret out of you. Not talking? Then let me show you my methods!"

"Old bastard, spare me your bragging! So you’re an early-stage God-Emperor, and you still can’t crush an early-stage God-Lord like me? If word gets out, where will you hide your pig face? Still have the nerve to boast—what a joke!" Evan said, his grin cold and mocking.

"You’re driving me mad! Kid, if I don’t grind your bones to dust today, I’m not Ray Lee!" Ray Lee was completely enraged by Evan’s taunts.

"Ray Lee? What a filthy name! Want to bring glory to your ancestors? Too bad—you don’t have the qualifications. Today, you die. That’s my demand!" Evan declared, unleashing a powerful aura.

Lena Zhong was still unconscious. If she were awake and saw Evan dueling a God-Emperor, who knows what she’d think—maybe she’d vow herself to him on the spot.

Ray Lee’s face turned iron-blue. In Azure Moon City, he was always a lofty elder—when had he ever suffered such humiliation? His lungs were about to explode from Evan’s provocations. He no longer cared about Evan’s secrets; he was ready to annihilate him in one blow.

With a thought, Ray Lee’s longsword began to hum. Suddenly, a beam of starlight shot down from the sky and poured into his head—he was borrowing Stellar Power to deal with Evan Chu. The might of this attack was hard to even imagine.

Evan didn’t panic. If only he could use the energy of the God’s Blood in his body, things would be different—but that power was far beyond his control. Most of the time, he could only sigh helplessly. For now, he could only rely on the Blood Bead.

Inside Evan’s body, the Blood Bead whirred into action, its energy quickly spreading out and flooding him. A pain like he’d never felt before swelled through his body—veins bulged, muscles knotted, and his face twisted into a ferocious mask.

A powerful blood aura erupted from Evan, instantly filling several miles around him. Overhead, the clouds turned blood-red—a sight that defied belief.

This time, Evan had pushed the Blood Bead’s energy to the limit—only a tiny shadow remained, about the size of a pearl. Maybe, if he was lucky, the Blood Bead could someday reform.

Ray Lee never expected an ant-like youth to unleash such a terrifying blood aura. He was secretly excited; he knew that with the Stellar-powered strike he was about to unleash, Evan would be obliterated. Witnessing such talent before crushing it was a rare treat.

Evan had been holding back all this time, but now that he’d broken through to the God-Lord Realm, he could fully unleash the first five transformations of Ninefold Divine-Dragon Metamorphosis. Stacking that with Chaos Arm and Absolute Cleave, he believed he had a real shot at killing Ray Lee. If even this failed, he’d have no idea what to do next.

Sweat poured down Evan’s forehead—he was already at his absolute limit. If this were before, his meridians would have shattered long ago. If Ray Lee didn’t attack soon, Evan would have to strike first, but against someone so much stronger, attacking first could actually put him at a disadvantage.

Just then, Ray Lee finished his preparations and shouted, "Kid, your death has come!" A dazzling beam of starlight, fused with sword-qi, slashed toward Evan Chu...
