The personal bodyguard knew there was no escaping death today. He said, "So be it—just kill me."
"Kill you? That would be letting you off easy. Sure, I'm furious you killed me, but I can't let you die that quickly," Evan Yang said.
"What do you want then?" the bodyguard asked suspiciously.
"Originally, I planned to kill you right away, but now I'll let you live—for now," Evan Yang said.
"Hmph, don't think you can use me," the bodyguard snorted coldly.
"Whether I use you or not isn't up to you," Evan Yang replied.
"You're despicable," the bodyguard cursed.
"Despicable? When you killed me, did you call yourself despicable? You even annihilated my soul," Evan Yang snorted.
"So what exactly are you now?" The bodyguard, convinced Evan Yang had died, asked.
"You don't need to know that. Instead, swallow this," Evan Yang smiled, handing him a Mind-Veil Pill.
"What did you just do?" the bodyguard said angrily.
"You don't need to know. Just sleep," Evan Yang said with a smile.
As soon as he finished speaking, no matter how the bodyguard struggled, he quickly fell into a deep sleep. Once Evan saw him asleep, he asked, "Where is the Yang Clan's entrance?"
"It's on a certain planet. You need Lord Terry to guide the way," the bodyguard replied.
"You don't know yourself?" Evan Yang asked suspiciously.
"I do know, but you need a special item to enter or leave. Otherwise, going in means certain death," the man replied.
Evan Yang showed a shocked expression. He hadn't expected such restrictions outside the teleportation array, and was even more surprised at how extraordinary the Heaven‑Battling Yang Clan was—not only hard to find, but nearly impossible to enter.
"So only Terry Yang has that item?" Evan Yang pressed.
"That's right," the man replied.
"Got it. You can keep sleeping now," Evan Yang said, then tossed him straight into the tower inside the Strange Spiral Shell.
Controlling the bodyguard brought Evan Yang a moment of satisfaction, but he wasn't truly happy. He knew that Terry Yang was the real target, yet Terry was always surrounded by experts—taking him down wouldn't be easy.
Still, Evan Yang wasn't about to give up any opportunities. He shifted his focus and headed to Nangong Palace Lord's place.
Since Nangong Palace Lord believed Evan Yang was dead, he dropped all defensive formations against him. Evan slipped in easily and saw Terry Yang chatting with Nangong Palace Lord and a group of experts.
"This guy is cautious as hell," Evan Yang muttered to himself.
"Nangong Palace Lord, the contest starts tomorrow. You all better give it your best," Terry Yang said with a smile.
"Of course, we'll do our best. It'll be up to you all then," Nangong Palace Lord replied.
"No problem," Terry Yang said with a grin.
The two continued discussing the contest. Seeing no chance to act, Evan Yang quietly left.
"Who knows how long this contest will last. Looks like dealing with Terry Yang won't be easy," Evan Yang muttered.
Faced with this situation, Evan Yang pondered what to do next.
Just then, Evan Yang received a message from Liam Willow.
After checking the message, Evan Yang left and went outside the grand formation to look for Liam Willow.
Liam Willow looked troubled and muttered, "Could it really be him? Is that possible? He was clearly killed, even his soul was gone—how could the Transmission Stone reach him?"
Originally, Liam Willow planned to leave—too much had happened here, and as a rogue cultivator, he had no reason to stay. He wandered around outside, intending to depart, but nostalgia for his days with Evan Yang made him take out the Transmission Stone and try it. To his shock, he could reach Evan.
This made him feel like he'd seen something impossible, so he wanted to leave, but worried that if it really was Evan Yang, he'd never find him again.
His conflicted heart made him pace anxiously, muttering, "Should I stay or go?"
"Where would you go?" Suddenly a voice came from the window, but no one was there. Liam Willow, startled, stepped back and stared at the windowsill, asking, "Who's there?"
"What do you think?" Evan Yang said with a smile, then closed the window.
Seeing the window close by itself, Liam Willow's legs nearly gave out; he almost bolted from the room, but someone grabbed him and laughed, "Why are you so jumpy?"
Evan Yang revealed himself. When Liam Willow saw it was really Evan, he exclaimed, "So it was you!"
"Who else would it be if not me?" Evan Yang said with a smile.
"Are you really Evan Yang?" Liam Willow exclaimed.
"Who do you think?" Evan Yang said with a grin.
Liam Willow, still in disbelief, tugged at Evan Yang and touched his face. Once he was sure Evan was alive, he said excitedly, "I knew you weren't so easy to kill—this is great!"
"Flattery!" Evan Yang laughed.
"What do you mean? I'm being serious," Liam Willow said awkwardly.
"Alright, enough of that. What made you think to contact me?" Evan Yang asked.
"I was about to leave, but then I remembered you were still here. So I figured I'd try, and I actually reached you," Liam Willow replied.
"I see. Looks like I disconnected the Transmission Stone first," Evan Yang said.
"Why?" Liam Willow asked curiously.
