Five Continents

"Your talent is truly the greatest I have ever seen. I had planned to guide you in condensing Blade Intent in a month, so you could achieve minor accomplishment. But you’ve surpassed my expectations. In just one month, your Blade Intent has reached minor accomplishment—no longer scattered and chaotic, but even a step further. With a bit more transformation, you’ll achieve major accomplishment. Now, you are qualified to converse with any genius." Quinn Windflower praised.

Quinn Windflower wasn’t saying that Joe Di gained this qualification simply by comprehending the level of Blade Intent. Rather, after grasping Blade Intent, Joe Di would no longer cultivate other techniques and divine arts in a haphazard, aimless manner as before.

Joe Di bowed deeply. "Thank you for your guidance, senior. Without you, I wouldn't even have the qualification to explore on my own. In my heart, you are my master."

Quinn Windflower shook his head. "I do not have the ability to be your master. I only spoke of things that everyone knows, but you did not. The starry sky is vast, with countless talented and powerful cultivators. In the future, you will have the strength and potential to stand among them."

"Senior, in the Blade Dao jade slips I’ve seen, the Intent Realm only has entry, minor accomplishment, major accomplishment, and perfection. I haven’t seen anything about Convergence." Joe Di voiced his inner doubt.

Quinn Windflower replied, "Actually, even Convergence is not the highest level of the Intent Realm. When your Blade Intent surpasses Convergence, there is another level called Transformation."

"Transformation?" Joe Di was completely puzzled.

Quinn Windflower explained, "Actually, I’ve only heard of this realm, and have never seen a true expert who could fuse Intent with Realm. Such experts, when they unleash their divine arts, their Intent Realm divine arts will immerse you completely. Without realizing it, you are drawn into the mirage of their divine art, at their mercy. The realm they manifest is indistinguishable from reality. But you needn’t worry—given your comprehension, you will one day cross this threshold."

Now, let me answer your earlier question about whether time and space also possess Intent Realm. I once heard some insights about this during a Dao lecture. When the Intent Realm begins to transform, it still isn’t the highest level. Transformation evolves into a real scene, but in fact, this reality is still illusory—it merely traps your opponent within. Yet the purpose of Transformation is not simply to create such a convincing illusion.

This involves the rules. When you touch upon the rules, the scenes you evolve will gradually become real. It is said that in battles between supreme experts, it’s all about rules. Rules are a broad concept, actually composed of countless laws: time law, space law, five elements law, and so on. Once you master these laws, creating a real world becomes a simple feat."

Joe Di drew a sharp breath. There were actually such experts? To casually create real scenes, trapping opponents within? True experts battle with laws; the so-called rules he sensed were only due to possessing the Graystone. Clearly, there’s no end to learning—he was still worlds away from those supreme cultivators.

"I’ve only just begun to touch upon rules myself. As for mastering a particular law, I am still far from that. I see that although you’ve glimpsed the surface of rules, you don’t truly understand them. You must have encountered some supreme treasure by chance, and that treasure granted you insight. If you truly wish to comprehend rules, start with a single law." Quinn Windflower admired Joe Di’s comprehension and spoke without reservation.

He guessed that Joe Di must have obtained some kind of supreme treasure. He mentioned this to remind Joe Di to be cautious in the future—not everyone was as indifferent to such treasures that grant a glimpse of rules as he was.

Joe Di sighed, "After hearing your words, senior, I realize just how ignorant I was before."

Quinn Windflower smiled faintly. "I haven’t taught you anything—I've simply been to more places and lived longer than you. In the future, if you have the chance, leave Nightfall Starland and visit the other four continents, and the Central Realm as well."

"The other four continents? Central Realm? What kind of places are those?" Joe Di asked in astonishment.

Quinn Windflower replied, "Your cultivation is still weak. When you reach the Ascendant stage, you won’t be able to stay in Nightfall Starland even if you want to. As far as I know, only the Central Realm has gateways to higher realms."

Joe Di was a bit puzzled. "Senior, isn’t it said that to enter another planetary realm, you need a Realmshatter Talisman? Does every Ascendant cultivator require one?"

"No. In fact, the five continental realms are not far apart. Each star continent has teleportation arrays leading to the Central Realm. The Central Realm is the most advanced continent in cultivation civilization. After reaching the Void Spirit Stage, I followed my master to the Central Realm. In Nightfall Starland, I was considered a top genius, but in the Central Realm, geniuses at my level were as common as grains of sand."

Sometimes, when you think you’re a genius, just step outside—only then will you realize you’re not. Your talent and comprehension are the strongest I’ve ever seen, but even if I connect Aurora Continent and Veil Continent, it’s only a temporary fix. In truth, it doesn’t fundamentally repair Nightfall Starland. Staying here holds no meaning for you, nor will it allow for greater growth." Quinn Windflower sighed.

Joe Di had already planned to leave Aurora Continent and return to Yalen Continent after destroying the Qi Family Trading House. Now, his resolve was even stronger. "Senior, what are the five realms exactly? Since there's a Central Realm, is there also a Greater Central Realm?"

Quinn Windflower replied, "Even if you hadn’t asked, I would have told you. In our domain, the Central Realm is at the center—it has the densest spiritual energy, the most complete laws, and the greatest fortune. It produces the top cultivators, the finest spirit herbs, and all kinds of heavenly treasures.

Surrounding the Central Realm are four continents. The first is Nightfall Starland, also called Sheye Starland. The second is Evernight Continent, also known as Everhe Starland—a powerhouse for cultivation, second only to the Central Realm. The third is Danyue Continent, also called Dansi Starland, famed for producing top-tier Pill Kings. The fourth is Yalen Continent, also called Hengyu Starland, which I haven’t visited. It’s said to have a more advanced technological civilization. As for the true Central Continent, you can only encounter it after leaving this realm."

"Yalen Continent, Hengyu Starland…" Joe Di murmured, then said excitedly, "Senior, I’m from Yalen Continent! I’ve always wanted to return there. Is there really a teleportation array from the Central Realm to Yalen Continent?"

Joe Di couldn’t help but get excited—he hadn’t expected Yalen Continent to be one of the parallel worlds to Aurora Continent. If Quinn Windflower was right, he wouldn’t need a Realmshatter Talisman to return to Yalen Continent at all.

Quinn Windflower hadn’t expected such a coincidence either. He laughed heartily, "As long as the Central Realm hasn’t changed, there will definitely be a teleportation array to Yalen Continent. The worlds I mentioned—once you reach the Ascendant stage, you must leave via the Central Realm. Without teleportation arrays, how would cultivators travel there? My biggest concern is that the teleportation array from Nightfall Starland to the Central Realm might be destroyed. If that happens, returning would be troublesome. Still, you can buy star map charts to the Central Realm in Nightfall Starland—it just takes a bit more time. If you insist on traveling through the starry sky, you’ll need to reach the Sea-Breaking Realm before you can enter the cosmos."

Joe Di was still excited. He respectfully kowtowed to Quinn Windflower three times. "Senior, I will always remember your great kindness. Whether or not you consider me your disciple, you are my master in my heart."

Joe Di hadn’t planned on formally apprenticing, but Quinn Windflower’s noble character and insightful guidance made Joe Di regard him as a master. He was sure Quinn Windflower knew he possessed a treasure that allowed comprehension of rules, yet Quinn Windflower had no ulterior motives and sincerely taught him things he’d never encountered before—knowledge that could one day save his life. That is the kindness of a true mentor.

Quinn Windflower sensed Joe Di’s sincerity and felt a warmth in his heart. He and Vivian Ho were Dao companions, together for many years but had no children. Because all his energy was devoted to Vivian Ho, he never took a disciple. Now, moved by Joe Di’s heartfelt respect, Quinn Windflower suddenly felt he wasn’t a useless, abandoned person after all.

He was a man of deep feeling and true nature. That’s why, after inadvertently splitting Nightfall Starland, he was wracked with guilt and vowed to remain here. Vivian Ho understood this aspect of his character well. In some ways, Joe Di was similar—at least their temperaments resonated.

"Go on, don’t worry about me. One day in the starry sky, your name—Joe Di—will surely be renowned." At this moment, Quinn Windflower no longer felt so alone.

Joe Di stood up and said resolutely, "Master, rest assured—one day, I will come visit you again."

Quinn Windflower’s eyes grew hot. He could tell Joe Di was speaking from the heart. In the cultivation world, Quinn Windflower was known for his deep feelings, but that didn’t mean he was naive about its harshness. Few would truly promise to return. Joe Di’s words came from genuine respect, treating Quinn Windflower as his master.

After being hurt by his lifelong Dao companion, meeting such a heartfelt disciple was heaven’s way of compensating him. Unfortunately, in all his years in the starry sky, he hadn’t left behind any legacy. If he had, his disciple would have had an easier time when venturing into the cosmos.

"Go on. The vast starry sky is your true home." Quinn Windflower waved his hand, scattering a handful of formation flags.

A powerful force swept in, carrying Joe Di upward. He knew Quinn Windflower was preparing to fuse Veil Continent and Aurora Continent.

Quinn Windflower was a man of deep feeling, but not adept at expressing emotion. He didn’t want Joe Di to see his true feelings, so he began repairing Sheye Starland ahead of time.
