This Is Your Hairpin

The waves of the Celestial River surged and rolled, like the long river of time—sometimes rushing, sometimes gentle.

Cloud-Venerable's boat sailed along the Celestial River. He had exchanged many words with the Creators from the Grand Void Expanse, learning much about the ancient history—his heart surging and falling like the river itself.

The ancient history was both endlessly fascinating and fraught with peril, dangers lurking everywhere. He couldn't help but ponder it all.

He also remembered Langwo's beautiful face. Whenever he thought of that girl, his heart would blaze with warmth.

At this time, Langwo was brimming with youthful energy and irresistible vitality, pure and unblemished. The moment he saw her, he was utterly captivated.

Sadly, he could only suppress these strange feelings, for the fate of the human race was far more important.

"If Supreme Emperor and Heavenly Emperor are not eliminated, there can never be peace under heaven."

His expression was calm, yet in his eyes surged hidden currents—profound wisdom concealed beneath that tranquil exterior.

"The Grand Void Expanse will become a refuge for humanity—a haven against the storms. If we fail in the future, we will need a place to hide. If Loren Shaw's three prophecies come true, I must consider how to defend against Supreme Emperor's invasion of the Grand Void."

The turbulent currents hidden within his gaze grew ever more intense.

Quinn smiled, thinking, "He must be Cloud-Heaven Emperor by now, right? Too bad I didn't see him last time I visited Dragon-Han. Maybe this time I'll have the chance. Come to think of it, we only met once—at the Jade Pool Grand Assembly in the early Dragon-Han Era—but we never truly spoke."

The god smiled. "The exact year, I couldn't say. But I do know the Sky-River Court's calendar—this is the hundred-thousandth year since Cloud-Heaven Emperor ascended the throne. If you'd arrived earlier, you could have witnessed the ten-myriad-year grand celebration. Too bad, you're a few days late."

Below lay a vast, magnificent landscape. Colorful clouds drifted leisurely—all of it spread beneath his gaze.

Cloud-Heaven Emperor was the first to pioneer the Emperor's Throne Arts and achieve the Emperor's Throne Stage before anyone else—a truly unprecedented accomplishment, unmatched by all others!

He was destined to ride the waves of this grand age, leading humanity to unprecedented glory and leaving the boldest mark in history!

He would orchestrate the deaths of Supreme Emperor and Heavenly Emperor, bringing the Age of Ancient Gods to its end. The Heaven Alliance would fracture in his hands, and those who overthrew the ancient gods would become the new rulers.

Yet Cloud-Heaven Emperor knew none of this. He simply gazed at the mist-shrouded land, his heart brimming with heroic passion.

"The world's first Emperor's Throne Stage!"

The god was beside himself with excitement, voice rising as he exclaimed, "Cloud-Heaven Emperor is the first under heaven to achieve the Emperor's Throne Stage! Even the Ancient-God Heavenly Emperor sent gifts in congratulations! That day, Sky-River Court was a spectacle—Tu Bo, Heaven Duke, Earth Mother, the Empress, all sent gifts to celebrate the rise of humanity's great emperor to the Emperor's Throne, and the founding of the very first Emperor's Throne Arts!"

In that age, Shepherd Venerable's earth-shaking deeds sparked a revolution, but few now remembered what he had done.

Quinn smiled calmly and said, "This is your Peach-Wood Hairpin."

Aside from that, the courtyard was filled with dozens of tiny horses, each riding a bamboo pole, hooves never touching the ground as they bounced about inspecting the manuscripts.
