Chapter 978: Talk About Eggs

Peace talks? Just like that, it's over? Where in the world is it ever that easy? You say negotiate, and we negotiate—what about my losses?

Leon ignored Dubois Charles, swiftly mining massive chunks of ore and stripping every last companion gemstone from within.

These ores are rich in magical metals, and the quality of the vein is extremely high. The chance of yielding advanced companion gemstones is excellent. The fact that they were left untouched clearly meant they were reserved for Dubois Charles.

Leon knew this perfectly well. After mining the ores, he began to re-refine the already smelted magical metals.

No matter what kind of brand or mark was on them, it would all be wiped clean. Leon tossed piles of resources into the demi-plane without pause.

Up in the sky, Dubois Charles's eyes were practically crackling with lightning. His magical energy was so agitated it became chaotic.

But all he could do was watch, gritting his teeth. He even held back from uttering a harsh word, and was even less inclined to make a move...

Dubois Charles floated quietly in midair, utterly at a loss for what to do.

Damn it, they said peace talks—everything from before is wiped clean, as if nothing ever happened. What more do you want?

The dignity of a Sky Rank mage, the reputation of the Black Tower Sanctuary—all of it was utterly lost...

Even after backing down to this extent, it's still not enough...

Bastard. Damn bastard...

Dubois Charles panted heavily, glaring at Leon, thoughts churning in his mind as he desperately tried to figure out how to reclaim Windfire Fortress...

Below, Leon had already finished gathering the massive pile of resources on the plaza.

Except for those veins that might yield precious companion gemstones, all the other magical metals had already been smelted—almost all of them could be used as raw materials without further refinement.

Various medicinal herbs and plants had also been preliminarily processed, so when it came to brewing alchemical potions, most could be used directly. It was incredibly convenient and saved a lot of trouble.

The only thing lacking was magic crystals. Even though there were crates and crates of them, they were all below level thirty. Soul magic crystals were especially scarce—no doubt they'd already been stashed away...

After sorting the plaza's vast resources, the alchemical golems began dismantling the center of Windfire Fortress.

The collapsed tower was taken apart piece by piece by the alchemical golems, and every usable material was salvaged and hauled away...
