The atmosphere in the room froze completely. Jason Su glared furiously at Ma Yongjie, his eyes wide with rage.
"Experiment death record."
With a bang, Jason Su immediately stood up, his eyes wide as he stared at Ma Yongjie.
"What did you say?"
Ma Yongjie replied with a smile.
"Experiment death record."
Jason Su immediately grabbed Ma Yongjie's collar.
"What the hell is going on?"
"If you have something to say, say it properly."
Earthly Soul stepped forward and gently separated the two. Only after a long moment did Jason Su finally calm down. He looked as if he'd just survived a nightmare—his face pale, his breathing growing rapid.
"What could possibly have happened to make you act like this? I've never seen you like this before."
Old Moe, beside me, muttered something under his breath. Jason Su picked up his glass and downed the liquor in one gulp, then refilled it and continued drinking, his expression twisted in pain. He drank glass after glass, his face flushing deep red, yet he kept going, drunk and desperate.
"That's enough."
Lan Yin suddenly grabbed his hand, and at that moment, Ma Yongjie looked at Jason Su with a face full of guilt.
"Back then, I was just a low-level operative in The Immortality Society. While sorting documents, I came across a record like this. But it was top secret—I wasn't supposed to see it. If I did, the evil spirit inside me would have killed me instantly."
"Sorry, I got a little carried away just now."
Jason Su's emotions finally settled. He clutched his head in agony and slumped over the table.
"Shame... It's always been the shame of the Su Family. Why did it have to be this way? Why..."
Soon enough, Jason Su passed out drunk. Old Moe hoisted him into the room, then came out and sighed.
"Ethan, what are you planning to do next?"
