Freshman Registration

1/11/2026

Peaceful days always seem to fly by, and in the blink of an eye, it was time for Ian Song to report to university.

After taking the Marrow-Cleansing Pill, Hannah Han’s aptitude improved even further, and her cultivation speed increased significantly. She had already broken through to late Postnatal and reached Postnatal Great Perfection.

Before heading to Flame City, Ian Song made a point to meet with Frank Zhao and Zoe Zhao, the brother and sister duo.

After receiving his Origin-Nurturing Scripture, their cultivation improved by leaps and bounds. Frank Zhao had already touched the threshold of the Innate realm and would likely break through soon, while Zoe Zhao was not far behind, having reached Postnatal Great Perfection herself. Breaking through to the Innate realm was only a matter of time for her as well.

Now, about the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill.

After a week of sales, 3,500 people had already taken the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill, resulting in over three thousand outwardly youthful but internally aging ‘witches’ in the world.

The Ever-Youth Beauty Pill had become a household name throughout the Yanhuang Republic, and its fame had even begun to spread overseas.

At first, foreign countries scoffed at the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill’s effects, thinking the Yanhuang people were exaggerating.

But when a reporter from an American newspaper came to Yanhuang and interviewed several actresses who had taken the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill, skepticism dropped significantly after the report was published.

At the same time, foreign women eager for youth began to investigate the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill and discovered that it truly could restore a person’s appearance to that of a twenty-year-old.

Women will go absolutely crazy for beauty and youth.

So, once foreign women learned that the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill truly worked wonders, some of them traveled all the way to Yanhuang to buy it.

Coincidentally, one of them was a rather popular American pop star.

After taking the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill, this American star posted her rejuvenated photos on Vitter, instantly causing a sensation and making the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill a hit in America.

This made several large American corporations see a business opportunity, and they tried every possible channel to contact Victor Song and buy Ever-Youth Beauty Pills in bulk.

Unfortunately, since his TV interview, Victor Song hadn’t appeared again.

Helpless, those American businessmen could only send people to Yanhuang to buy Ever-Youth Beauty Pills and resell them back in America. Since the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill was unique—and Victor Song had clearly stated there were only 20,000 pills total—once they were gone, there would be no more.

As a result, the price of a single Ever-Youth Beauty Pill in America soared to ten million US dollars, and even then, demand far exceeded supply.

America is the world’s number one superpower.

It’s also the world’s trendsetter, so once the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill exploded in America, its popularity quickly spread worldwide. More and more people flocked to Yanhuang, just to buy or resell the Ever-Youth Beauty Pill.

But before their hands could touch anything, Ian grabbed their wrists.

"Get lost!" Ian shouted lightly.

With a light shout, the two tall bodyguards staggered backward out of the room.

Seeing this, Eric Yi's eyes flashed with surprise. He told the two bodyguards, who had rushed back in, "You can go now."

"Yes, Young Master!"

The two bodyguards glared fiercely at Ian before turning to leave, but Ian didn’t care.

After sending the bodyguards away, Eric Yi didn’t mention swapping beds again, nor did he pay attention to Ian or the other two. He simply took out his quilt from his suitcase and started making his own bed.

"Yeah, I’m a freshman. Excuse me, where do I register for the Literature Department?" Ian nodded politely.

"I knew it, you’re a junior! By the way, what’s your name?"

"Ian Song."

"Nice name, and you’re pretty handsome too. Here, let me help you with your luggage, junior."

"No need, I can carry it myself." Ian quickly replied, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the seniors’ enthusiasm.

"Oh right, you don’t know our names yet!"

"May I ask how I should address you both?"

"I’m Ruth Xu, and she’s Mindy Zhou. We’re both in the Literature Department too!"

"Nice to meet you, Senior Ruth. Nice to meet you, Senior Mindy."

...

With their enthusiastic help, Ian quickly finished registration, and the two seniors personally escorted him to his dorm—then even tried to invite him out for a meal.

However, he politely declined.

There were four people living in each dorm room.

Two of his roommates had already arrived before him.

As soon as they saw him, both roommates stood up warmly to greet him.

One was Leon Long, a local from Flame City and an English major; the other was Gavin Gan, from Northwest State, studying Business Administration.

Ian chatted with them while making his bed.

Just as he finished tidying up, the last roommate for dorm 518 arrived.

This last roommate was a bit special: not only was he dressed in trendy clothes and wearing sunglasses, but he was also followed by two tall bodyguards, each lugging two huge suitcases.

Clearly, he was a rich kid.

Leon Long smiled and stood up, reaching out his hand. "Hi, I’m Leon Long."

To Leon’s surprise, the newcomer completely ignored his friendliness, took off his sunglasses to give Leon a cold glance, then walked right past him.

Leon’s face darkened, and Gavin’s expression turned cold as well. Neither liked this last arrival—after all, they’d all be living together for four years, so what was with the attitude?

"Is this your bed?" Eric Yi walked slowly to Ian’s bunk and stared at him coldly.

"Yeah." Ian smiled and nodded.

"I don’t like sleeping on the top bunk. Move your stuff up there." Eric Yi said flatly, his tone leaving no room for argument.

"Hey, that’s way out of line!" Leon Long stepped up beside Ian, standing shoulder to shoulder with him and staring at Eric Yi.

"Yeah, if you’re so impressive, why even bother with a dorm? Go rent your own place!" Gavin Gan chimed in sarcastically.

Eric Yi ignored Leon and Gavin, looking only at Ian. "Are you moving your stuff yourself, or should I have someone do it for you?"

Ian’s smile finally faded, replaced by a hint of coldness. "Anyone who touches my stuff is losing a hand."

Eric Yi paused, then turned to his bodyguards. "You two, move his things to the top bunk."

"Yes, sir."

The two bodyguards set down their suitcases and stepped forward, reaching for Ian’s bedding.
