Gone

2/14/2026

Whoosh! Thirty thousand stars appeared overhead, then plunged down like a meteor shower—beautiful as rain, stunning to behold. Yet every falling star brought a massive explosion.

Boom boom boom boom! The explosions were endless—so loud that even early-stage Saint Venerables were temporarily deafened. The retreating Blazing Flame Legion soldiers saw only a gorgeous meteor rain falling, enemy ranks erupting with blasts, dazzling starlight, and blood flying everywhere...

The Monroe Legion and Sky Tiger Legion—three hundred thousand strong—instantly collapsed. They tried to flee, tried to scream, but never got the chance.

No matter where they ran, meteors crashed down everywhere—thirty thousand of them! Just counting that many would take ages, wouldn’t it?

Forget thirty thousand giant meteors exploding—even if thirty thousand candy beans fell, they’d crush a couple people to death!

The terrifying power of Stellar Detonation had already far surpassed Evan Chu’s expectations. When these forces combined, it was nowhere near as simple as one plus one—detonating several stars at once made the strength multiply!

Rumble rumble... The ground split open, magma surged up from the core, and mountains began to collapse.

"Not good! Retreat, quick! This entire star-region is about to be destroyed!"

"Where’s Evan? Where’s Evan Chu?"

"Over there!"

In a deep crater, Evan Chu had already passed out after unleashing everything he had—so he never saw the meteor shower himself.

But in the final moment before blacking out, he realized: just five thousand stars were enough to change the whole battle. Thirty thousand falling and detonating together... as for the final outcome, even he didn’t know.

Flying away wasn’t fast enough anymore—the Blazing Flame Legion had to escape aboard star-boats and warships. The exploding meteors were already severely affecting them! And dozens of Blazing Flame soldiers who couldn’t get away in time were lost to the blasts...

Far away, Bloodfeather Throne—who hadn’t yet reached this star-region—also saw the meteor explosions and couldn’t help but curse aloud.

"Holy crap! What the hell happened? Is this a Holy Emperor battle or something? What did I just see? Tell me this isn’t real! Did we go to the wrong battlefield?!"

He reflexively gripped Violet Thunder’s shoulder so hard that with a crack—it broke!

Violet Thunder endured the pain, helplessly muttering, "Throne sir, this is definitely the right place."

"Whoa! Damn—hurry up! Jun Yang can’t die, that bastard still owes me thirty mid-grade Starstones from our last drinking bet!"

Bloodfeather Throne let out a weird howl and rushed forward, not caring about his own safety. With explosions like this, even a peak Saint Venerable would have to avoid the blast zone—let alone a Holy Emperor.

Violet Thunder wanted to stop him, but seeing the deep brotherhood between Bloodfeather and Jun Yang, he could only grit his teeth and follow. Senior brother, you better not be in trouble!

On the other side, Jun Yang’s power was restored—no surprise, he was completely crushing Gareth Monroe. Monroe had just killed Yang Chenghu, but now he was nearly being beaten to death by Jun Yang; his heart was shattered.

Boom! Boom!

The violent explosions finally reached outer space—because Evan Chu had deliberately held back, saving five thousand stars for a final synchronized detonation!

But this power was absolutely unprecedented. In Jun Yang’s eyes, the whole star-region below him—where he’d just been—was simply... half gone!

That’s right—just gone! An ordinary star-region, vanished! It disappeared, erased from the Star-River Dominion forever!

But the explosions weren’t over—far from it. In fact, they were only just beginning...

Gareth Monroe saw Jun Yang distracted, gritted his teeth, and sacrificed an entire arm, pouring half his power into it and hurling it at Jun Yang for a self-detonation!

Boom! This time, Monroe was badly wounded—his cultivation realm even dropped a level. His hatred for Jun Yang was now off the charts.

"Jun Yang, this time I admit defeat! But I’m not satisfied—next time, we’ll fight again!"

This joint encirclement was crap—he’d gained nothing, lost his entire legion’s strength, and was seriously injured himself. Monroe had no idea how he’d face the Holy Emperor now...

Jun Yang was heavily wounded by the storm from Monroe’s exploding arm. He didn’t even have the strength to chase after him, but what worried him most was what had happened below.

Bloodfeather Throne and Violet Thunder finally arrived, but all they saw was the battered, fleeing Blazing Flame Legion. At a glance, their numbers were still decent—just a few thousand less than before.

Bloodfeather Throne breathed a sigh of relief. It was a crushing defeat, but at least everyone was still alive—the legion’s foundation was intact, much better than he’d feared.

A moment later, Jun Yang arrived too.

"Where’s Evan?"

"He’s unconscious, inside the star-boat," said the Blazing Flame Legion’s strategist, his mouth twitching hard.

"Whew... Good, as long as he’s alive. Let’s get out of here—don’t stay a second longer!"

Seeing Jun Yang in this state, Bloodfeather Throne was shocked. "What on earth happened?"

The strategist’s mouth twitched again—along with many deputy commanders behind him. Their faces were pitch black and ragged, all twitching in unison; some even shivered in the shoulders.

The Blazing Flame Legion swore: none of them ever wanted to look back at the star-region they’d just fought in.

A month later, the Blazing Flame Legion and Bloodfeather Legion had already returned to Frostbane Dynasty to recuperate for over a month. As for Jun Yang, he was even more fierce—not only did he recover from his battle wounds, he also broke through to early Holy Emperor Realm!

He’d just gone to challenge Mad-Blade Li, and scared that guy so badly he ran for his life.

Inside a room at Jun Yang’s palace, the four Temple Masters, Mad-Blade Li, Jun Yang, Bloodfeather, and all of Jun Yang’s deputy commanders and strategist were gathered.

Just moments ago, Violet Thunder had cried out—Evan Chu’s body, after a month-long coma, finally moved a little, as if he was about to wake up.

Everyone rushed over, worried for Evan Chu—would he really wake up?

Evan felt his head splitting with pain, his soul wracked with agony, and his body aching all over. Even the slightest movement felt like it could kill him.

At last, his tightly shut eyes slowly opened.

"Don’t move! You’re still badly injured—you need serious rest."

Jun Yang pressed him down and spoke softly.

"Eh? Jun Yang, you broke through? Early Holy Emperor Realm?"

"Yeah! This time, I really owe you."

"Ha! Between us, what’s the point of saying thanks? Wait—hold on! Where am I? Weren’t we fighting Monroe and Sky Tiger Legions on the battlefield?

No way! Jun Yang, I can’t rest—the Monroe and Sky Tiger Legions are our mortal enemies. They killed so many of our brothers—I have to avenge them! I need to hurry up and cultivate!"

But as Evan said this, everyone in the room—including the four Temple Masters—could only twitch their mouths in complicated silence.

Evan was puzzled—why was everyone making that face? Only Violet Thunder awkwardly swallowed and said,

"Senior brother, you probably won’t get your revenge—because the Monroe Legion and Sky Tiger Legion are already gone."

"Gone? What do you mean, gone?"

"To be precise, that entire star-region—and both enemy legions—are gone..."

The strategist, who saw it all with his own eyes, spoke bitterly. Evan seemed to finally understand.

"Evan, you’re the savior of all of us—you saved the Blazing Flame Legion! So please, accept my kneel in thanks!"

Bang! Jun Yang dropped to one knee, leaving Evan utterly shocked.
