"What do you mean?" My eyes stared at them blankly, a chill crawling down my spine.
"Oh, Ethan, you don't know what 'full blessing' means?" Wayne Harris said, coming over with a bit of soy sauce still on his lips.
"It means inviting the whole family to the banquet, haha. Well, Ethan, since we're living together now, we're basically family, right? So I'd like to see for myself what the Feast of Ten Thousand Ghosts is all about."
"I'd like to see those three guys too. I wonder how they're doing?" Samantha Simons said, and Basil Bertram immediately walked over.
"Count me in! Even though I don't live in this yard, we're brothers, so you have to take me along, no matter what."
As Basil Bertram spoke, the other ghosts all started chiming in.
"Alright, I get it. We'll all go together." I smiled.
Thinking about it, it makes sense. If Red Hair harbors ill intent, I'd be doomed. He may have helped me, but I always sense he's using me. That innocent-looking face—who knows what sinister plans he hides beneath it.
Then all the ghosts happily went out. The Shade Trio from Mount Shade shouted about free food and drink as they left. I couldn't help but laugh.
Rachel Lan sat off to the side; it was already 2 a.m.
"Ethan, let's go out to eat later. I was waiting for you to wake up, but those three already devoured everything."
I got up and glanced at the kitchen—a chaotic mess. The oppressive silence pressed in as I sighed and shook my head.
"You're coming with me too?" Only now did I look at Rachel Lan.
"Yes, Ethan. I want to see it for myself. Actually, the higher-ups in the Underworld ordered me—no matter what, I have to get into the Feast of Ten Thousand Ghosts."
"Why are you all like this? What exactly is the Feast of Ten Thousand Ghosts?"
Rachel Lan shook her head, stood up, and with a faint, unsettling smile, pulled me outside.
"Ethan, you haven't been out in a long time. Let's go for a walk together."
I responded, following Rachel Lan out of the apartment building. Once outside, I noticed my car was gone, but Rachel's red car was parked at the entrance.
"Where are we going, exactly?"
"Get in the car first, Ethan. I'll take you somewhere good to eat, and then we'll meet someone."
Rachel Lan said, and I nodded, getting into the car. I saw we were heading toward Beiping Road.
Sure enough, the car stopped in the parking lot on Beiping Road. My stomach was growling, so we went to a clean, yellow-and-white restaurant on the second floor. We went straight up and entered a private room.
A chubby man with an oval face, average-looking and a bit short, but with a clean face, was picking his teeth. As soon as he saw us come in, he stood up and came over, reaching out to shake my hand.
"Hello, Ethan Zhang. My name is Peter Yao, from the Hades Circle. Haha, I've been hoping to meet you."
I let out a small 'ah' and reached out. Peter Yao, the chubby guy, shook my hand enthusiastically.
Rachel Lan sat down, looking a little embarrassed and avoiding my gaze. I winked at her.
"Ethan Zhang, don't blame Rachel. I insisted she bring you here. I just wanted to talk to you."
I made a sound of acknowledgment, and then Peter Yao went out and called for the food. In no time, a large table of dishes was served.
"Let's eat first, let's eat," he laughed.
I didn't hold back and started eating, but Rachel Lan still looked troubled.
"Miss Lan, you should eat too. It's fine, don't worry about it. If anything comes up in the future, just say it directly."
"Sorry, Ethan, Uncle Yao has helped me a lot in the past. I..."
I smiled and picked up some food, putting it in her bowl.
"Eat up."
After we finished eating, Peter Yao came over.
"So, Ethan, are you planning to go to the Feast of Ten Thousand Ghosts alone, or...?"
I answered honestly—I plan to take the ghosts from my courtyard with me.
"Oh, that's much easier. Ethan, could you bring me along too?"
I hesitated, but in the end, I reluctantly agreed to Peter Yao.
As soon as we left the restaurant, Rachel Lan's phone started ringing.
"Ethan, Miles Mao is back. He wants to catch up with us."
"Haha, that kid's back? Let's go, where to?"
Half an hour later, we arrived at a drink shop. I was a bit surprised—Miles Mao was sitting inside with an old Taoist, nearly seventy but with a youthful look, white hair, and a pale yellow robe. People kept glancing at them.
"Ethan, this is my uncle, Master Mason. Um, can I talk to you about something?"
Miles Mao looked like he was about to cry.
"Mr. Zhang, I have a favor to ask. I never expected my junior's disciple to be so closely connected to you, so..."
"Um, Ethan, could you bring me and my uncle along?"
"What?" I blinked and asked.
"Mr. Zhang, I heard you're already on the invitation list for the Red-Haired Ghost Sovereign's Feast of Ten Thousand Ghosts. So, our Mount Mason Order would like to attend as well. Would you...?"
"Alright, alright, let's all go together."
I sighed, and Master Mason immediately broke into a joyful grin.
"Ah, finally some use out of you, you brat. I told you to study Taoism seriously, but you just wasted your time on wine and women. My junior, you can rest easy now."
"Come on, Uncle, you're no better. I heard from Master you used to visit prosti—"
Smack, smack, smack—Master Mason jumped up and gave Miles Mao three quick whacks on the head.
"Hehe, Mr. Zhang, please don't mind us."
On the way back, I was still puzzled about the Feast of Ten Thousand Ghosts. I almost wanted to dash to the Shuanglong Hotel and ask the Red-Haired Ghost what was really going on.
Just as we were about to reach the apartment building, I suddenly saw a group of monks standing at the entrance.
Rachel Lan stopped the car. I looked on gloomily and walked over. The monks split into two groups. One was led by Master Jianyun with three monks I recognized—they were my cousin's senior brothers. The other two monks were Renegade Monks: one was Master Owen, the other was a short man with a smile.
