Setting Out for Medicine King Valley

2/14/2026

Three days later.

At the edge of Seacrest Prefecture.

This area lay among a range of mountains, surrounded by greenery. The roads were a bit rough—heading west would take you to River City, while to the east, it was just endless mountains and forest as far as the eye could see.

A teenage boy in a black hoodie and a white sports cap stepped off a tour bus. Beside him was an old man with a deeply worried expression, looking full of anxiety.

At first glance, the old man had an immortal‑like aura, but a closer look revealed nothing but bitter resignation in his eyes.

That old man was none other than Warren Wu—the so‑called Doctor Wu the Miracle Healer, who used to follow Damon Wang around.

Previously, Evan Lin, together with Warren Wu and Damon Wang, hijacked a spirit herb from Medicine King Valley. After that, Evan helped Damon get rid of the Gu parasite in his body. From then on, Warren Wu—who used to have some local fame in River City—went straight into hiding.

He’d hoped to lay low for a while, but just a few days ago, at Evan Lin’s suggestion, Big Tank mobilized everyone and dragged him out of hiding.

Now, after getting off the bus, Warren Wu still looked hesitant and uneasy. He glanced nervously at Evan Lin, who was perfectly calm. "Um, Master Lin, you’re not really planning to go to Medicine King Valley alone, are you? If we turn back now, it’s still not too late."

Warren Wu’s voice was tinged with obvious fear and anxiety.

He was a discarded disciple of Medicine King Valley. Back then, the Valley refused to give Warren Wu’s wife a life-saving divine pill, so Warren risked everything and tried to steal a spirit herb. He got caught and was kicked out on the spot.

Over the years, Warren Wu managed to get by thanks to his medical skills, even though lately he’d heard plenty of stories about the teenager beside him.

In River City, he single-handedly killed Drake Huang—River City’s Number One.

In Leyang, he went head-to-head with a fourth-grade Vajra, and crushed Gavin Cheng on the spot.

On top of that, rumor had it he crippled Elder Mark Mu’s cultivation, killed several personal disciples of Medicine King Valley’s elders, and completely enraged Medicine King Valley—the hidden overlord of Seacrest Prefecture.

Medicine King Valley kept sending out Elder Wade Shui and Elder Gordon Jin. Elder Wade Shui tried to ambush Evan “Nine Mysteries” Lin outside Jinnan Mountain, but after that, no one heard from him again—most likely, Evan finished him off.

As for Elder Gordon Jin, at the River City auction, Evan “Nine Mysteries” Lin killed him right in front of everyone—along with Aiden Li, the city’s richest man.

Not long ago, Warren Wu heard that Medicine King Valley’s Fire Elder personally left the Valley to look for something, but he also vanished without a trace.

All these stories—every one of them pointed straight at the teenager beside him!

Just thinking about it made Warren Wu’s scalp tingle. Calling this guy a ‘genius’ didn’t cut it—he was a straight-up monster!

Two days ago, Warren Wu was planning to visit a local rich guy to treat his illness and make some good money. But as soon as he stepped out, someone threw a sack over his head.

When he came to, he was staring at the teenager in front of him. The kid’s request was simple—he wanted Warren to show him the way to Medicine King Valley.

"Once you get me to Medicine King Valley, you’re free to go. But for now, that’s not happening."

Evan Lin shook his head calmly and looked around. They were in a simple village—the tour bus had only stopped here for a moment. As soon as Evan and Warren got off, the driver hit the gas and sped away.

"Master Lin, come on, I know you’re brave and all, but Medicine King Valley isn’t somewhere regular people can just stroll into. Forget the five elemental elders—Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth—the Valley Guardians are all peak Inner Strength, some are even pseudo-Vajra. And inside, there are grade-ranked Vajra experts holding down the fort. The Valley Master himself is basically at the peak of the Mystic Arts Adept realm…"

Warren Wu kept trying to talk sense into him, but Evan Lin clearly wasn’t listening. He just asked coolly, "How far is Medicine King Valley from here?"

"From here, you have to head west out of this village for a whole day until you reach Little Gully Town. There, find the mule-driver in white, wait for him to start up his cart, and ride it all day to Fisherman’s Pier. At the pier, buy a wooden boat and drift downstream. If the timing’s right, you might find the entrance to Medicine King Valley."

Warren Wu hesitated, but still explained.

He was pretty scared of dying. Sure, crossing Medicine King Valley meant almost certain death, but angering Evan “Nine Mysteries” Lin could get him killed in less than thirty seconds.

"Seriously, all this fuss for Medicine King Valley? Can’t you just take me straight to Fisherman’s Pier?" Evan Lin frowned. He’d thought Medicine King Valley was right here in the mountains, just a short hike away.

He hadn’t expected the route to be so roundabout.

"Well… it’s partly to weed out people who aren’t sincere about seeking medicine, and partly to keep outsiders from bothering the Valley folks."

Warren Wu looked a little awkward. "Actually, even Medicine King Valley’s own people—unless they’re elders or top enforcers—have to take the same route to get in."

"Only the mule-driver in white knows the way to Fisherman’s Pier, and the wooden boats there aren’t cheap—a single-person boat costs five hundred thousand, and even then, there’s no guarantee you’ll find the Valley entrance."

At this, Warren Wu couldn’t help sighing. "Honestly, Medicine King Valley has all kinds of ways to make money. Every time they treat someone, they rake in a fortune, then use it to buy spirit herbs and medicines from all over for the Valley’s cultivation."

"Last time, Damon Wang spent over three million just to find the Valley entrance, but the elders refused to treat him. He got so mad, he brought a bunch of explosives and blew up the Valley gate."

Warren Wu looked embarrassed—because he was the one who set off the explosives that time.
