Unfortunately, Shawn Young had no idea what the guy was saying, nor did he care to find out. He knew these punks were just here to test him, while the real experts were lurking in the shadows, watching his moves. Sending these goons was simply a way to size him up. Without hesitation, Shawn shot the little boss a middle finger—universally recognized as an insult, no explanation needed!
“Baka yarou—!” The little boss was instantly triggered by Shawn's gesture, his face turning purple with rage. He roared, swinging his sharp katana and charged at Shawn, aiming straight for his head!
Shawn snorted coldly and shifted to the side, dodging the blade. In a flash, his right hand grabbed the attacker’s wrist and twisted—crack! The guy screamed in pain as Shawn snapped his wrist, making him drop the katana to the ground.
Before the blade could hit the ground, Shawn flipped his right hand, grabbed the handle, and dragged it along in one smooth motion. The cold steel flashed across the thug’s neck, and with a powerful kick—boom! The guy’s throat was slashed, blood spraying everywhere as he flew seven or eight meters like a broken kite, hit the ground, twitched a few times, and went silent without even a scream.
In the blink of an eye, Shawn had killed a man, but he didn’t stop. Channeling his true strength into his right hand, he gripped the katana and hurled it at the black-suited thugs blocking his path. The blade flashed through the air—swish!—cutting a dazzling arc and piercing straight through two men who couldn’t dodge in time, dragging them backward over ten meters before pinning them to the wall. Blood gushed out instantly, pouring everywhere!
“Waa—ah—” Only now did the two black-suited thugs feel the agony of their bodies being torn apart. But as blood poured out, they could only struggle weakly for a moment before falling silent!
In less than thirty seconds, Shawn had ruthlessly killed three enemies—quick, clean, and brutally efficient. The black-suited thugs were stunned; they hadn’t expected this young man to be such a cold-blooded killer. Some of the less tough guys even felt their legs shaking.
Seeing he’d made his point, Shawn took a breath, stopped, clapped his hands, shook his shoulders, and flashed a cold, cocky smile at the black-suited thugs. He said in a chilly voice, “What a disappointment! Is the so-called world’s number one gang, the Yamaguchi Syndicate, really just made up of you losers?!”
These black-suited thugs were the Yamaguchi Syndicate’s elite enforcers, famous for being fierce and combative. Sent to the Hong Kong branch, most of them understood Chinese. Shawn’s mocking words and his disdainful smile made the whole group furious. They roared, charging at him with raised blades, determined to hack him to pieces to vent their rage!
But Shawn didn’t dodge. Ever since his life-or-death duel with Hayato Falcon of the Iga Shinobi Clan, he’d grasped the true essence of swordsmanship. The Yamaguchi Syndicate goons’ attacks looked fierce, but compared to Hayato, they were nothing. Their speed seemed laughably slow to him now.
Shawn snorted and circulated his energy. With two fingers of his left hand, he caught a blade swinging at him—pinching it in midair!
“Uh—” The Yamaguchi Syndicate thug who swung the blade stared in disbelief. The other goons surrounding Shawn were also stunned, mouths agape and speechless. Shawn’s move was so unreal, it could rival the legendary sword pinch by Lu Xiaofeng against Ximen Chuixue—though these guys had no clue who Lu Xiaofeng or Ximen Chuixue were.
Shawn wasn’t about to give them a chance. These guys were ruthless, aiming to kill him with every strike, so he wasn’t going to play nice. The thug whose blade was caught tried to pull it back, but Shawn’s two fingers held it like a vise. He instantly realized he’d messed with a true master and tried to escape!
Too bad Shawn wasn’t letting him go. With a twist and a flick, Shawn spun the blade—slash!—and drove it straight through the thug’s throat. Blood gushed out, the guy fell back with wide eyes, twitched, and went stiff—instant kill!
Once you start killing, it’s easy to get hooked. Shawn swept his gaze over the dozens of nervous Yamaguchi Syndicate thugs surrounding him, snorted angrily, flashed forward, yanked the katana from the corpse, and charged at them.
None of these Yamaguchi Syndicate thugs had ever faced such a terrifying enemy. Shawn’s brutal and rapid slaughter had them scared out of their wits. If not for the Syndicate’s strict rules, they’d have run for their lives already. But seeing Shawn rush at them, they somehow found the guts to fight back.
Shawn’s spirit burned like fire, and the ‘Heavenly Tribulation’ lurking in his mind erupted with a savage aura. In that instant, his heart turned to steel and a destructive dominance surged within him. He roared, the katana in his hand dancing with deadly light, and charged into the Inagawa Syndicate crowd like a raging tiger. All he could think was—kill!
“Slash—slash—slash—”
As Shawn’s figure darted through like the Grim Reaper, the dozens of Yamaguchi Syndicate thugs were all pierced through the throat in an instant. They collapsed, clutching their necks, bodies twitching and struggling before dying silently. The air was thick with the stench of blood.
After slaughtering dozens in one go, Shawn finally tossed the katana to the floor, feeling the violent energy in his heart settle down. He stared dumbly at the corpses and pooling blood, barely able to believe he’d done all that himself!
Trailing behind him, Kimiko (Rachel Sasaki) frowned at the carnage, her heart pounding in shock and fear. She could still feel the terrifying, overwhelming killing intent Shawn had unleashed—her heart was still racing!
