Evan Yang apologized, "Sorry for causing trouble for everyone."
Seeing that Evan Yang realized his mistake, the others left and returned to their own caves. Not far away, some acquaintances watched Evan—but these acquaintances truly hated him.
Evan Yang naturally sensed that aura, so he looked over, smiled, then turned away and ignored them.
Those people were none other than Shawn Bai and his group. Evan Yang had tricked them, then disappeared, leaving them frustrated with nowhere to vent their anger. On top of that, they lost a hundred years of cultivation, so they came here to train—never expecting to run into Evan again.
"Is that him?" Colin Green asked, unwilling to accept it.
"That's right, I'd recognize him even if he turned to ashes. Damn it, he dared to trick us with his wine." Liam Li said angrily.
"Looks like he's gotten even stronger," Shawn Bai muttered, feeling both happy and surprised—happy that they might get some treasures, surprised that Evan Yang's cultivation had improved again.
"Yeah." Colin Green nodded.
After thinking for a moment, Shawn Bai said, "We can't let this go on, or we'll never get payback."
"So what do we do? If we go after him, the Enforcement Corps will come after us." Colin Green complained. We should've just finished Evan Yang off back then, not dragged him here.
Although Shawn Bai also regretted it, he wanted the treasures on Evan Yang, so he could only hold back.
"Here's what we do: get some poison, knock him out, then take him somewhere else and humiliate him. After that, we'll erase his memories. How about it?" Shawn Bai suggested after thinking it over.
Colin Green and Liam Li both thought this was a good idea, secretly pleased.
So the three discussed it and went to prepare, completely unaware that Evan Yang was immune to toxins. For him, this was no problem at all.
A few hours later, the three were ready. They tossed something into Evan Yang's cave.
Evan Yang saw something come in, followed by a cloud of mist with a foul smell.
"What's this?" Evan Yang wondered.
Evan Yang felt a bit dizzy, but the Heaven-Cold qi in his body immediately started circulating. He quickly guessed someone was trying to mess with his mind. Since he wanted to see what was going on, Evan Yang pretended to pass out.
After a while, the mist cleared and three people walked in—none other than Shawn Bai, Colin Green, and Liam Li. Evan Yang could see them clearly.
The three had no idea Evan Yang was faking unconsciousness. Feeling smug, they tossed him into a Space Ring and took him away.
After a while, Evan Yang was taken out—he was in a cave.
Shawn Bai said, "Now I'll use something to wake him up. Once he's awake, he'll be powerless for half an hour—perfect time for us to bully him."
"Great, I finally get to teach him a lesson!" Colin Green said excitedly.
Shawn Bai then gave Evan Yang something to eat. Evan, of course, pretended to slowly wake up. When he saw the three of them, he exclaimed, "You guys?"
"Kid? Remember us? Damn, you disappeared for over ten years—you know how hard we searched for you!" Shawn Bai said.
"Yeah, last time you dared to mess with the three of us. Are you tired of living?" Liam Li said angrily.
"Mess with you? I think you tried to mess with me and just failed," Evan Yang replied with a smile.
"Oh yeah? Still acting cocky? Believe it or not, we'll cripple your cultivation!" Liam Li said angrily.
"Really? Aren't you afraid of the Enforcement Corps?" Evan Yang asked.
"Enforcement Corps? We're in some cave on some planet—the Enforcement Corps won't know anything. Once we're done with you, we'll wipe your memory, or just kill you outright," Liam Li sneered.
"Is that so? Then I'll just deal with you guys," Evan Yang stood up. At eighth-tier Heavenly-Immortal, these guys were no match for him.
"Deal with us? Ridiculous!" Liam Li laughed wildly at Evan Yang's words, while Shawn Bai and Colin Green sneered.
Liam Li stood in front of Evan Yang, sneering, "Come on, hit me if you dare!"
Thinking Evan Yang was powerless, Liam Li tried to mock him, asking Evan to hit him. Evan smiled, "Since you said so, I won't hold back." With that, he punched Liam in the chest.
Boom! Liam Li was sent flying, tumbling a long distance. That blow nearly killed him.
With just one move, Evan Yang crippled Liam Li. The other two were shocked. Liam never expected this—he regretted provoking Evan and getting beaten so badly. Furious, he shouted, "You!!"
"How does it feel? Having your cultivation crippled—is it comfortable?" Evan Yang sneered.
Shawn Bai and Colin Green were shocked—they didn't expect Evan Yang to be so ruthless.
Evan Yang looked at the other two. "You guys want the same treatment?"
"Brother Mu, this is a misunderstanding—we're not involved," Shawn Bai said with a smile.
"Not involved? Then why did the three of you bring me here?" Evan Yang sneered.
"I..." Shawn Bai said awkwardly, not knowing what to say.
"Shawn, enough nonsense. Let’s team up and cripple him!" Colin Green said.
Shawn Bai gritted his teeth—he had no other choice, or else Evan Yang would make things difficult.
So Shawn Bai and Colin Green teamed up, each unleashing flames to suppress Evan Yang. But Evan responded with a single blast of fire, roasting both of them.
Both were scorched all over, like roasted meat, staring at Evan Yang in disbelief.
Seeing the two already charred, Evan Yang was secretly impressed—he hadn’t expected his fire attribute to become so powerful after his recent breakthrough.
"You... you..." Shawn Bai was in disbelief.
Colin Green was stunned too—he knew the tide had turned and Evan Yang couldn’t be defeated. He quickly said, "You can’t harm us, or the Enforcement Corps won’t let you off."
"You already said it—there’s no Enforcement Corps here, this is another planet. Do you think I’m stupid?" Evan Yang sneered.
Colin Green’s mind raced, and he quickly knelt, "You’re Lila’s friend, right? I’m her only brother—she wouldn’t want anything to happen to me. Please let me go."
"If you hadn’t mentioned it, I almost forgot—you’re the one who nearly killed her. If I don’t cripple you today, it wouldn’t be right." Evan Yang snorted coldly.
"Don’t, Brother Mu!" Colin Green said in terror.
Evan Yang didn’t say much—he was about to act, when Shawn Bai suddenly threw out a treasure, a magical artifact.
The artifact suddenly grew, trapping Evan Yang inside. Shawn Bai and Colin Green shouted, "Quick, run!"
"Help me!" Liam Li cried out, seeing the other two leave.
Evan Yang was attacking the artifact—it was tough and couldn’t be broken in one strike. After several attempts, he finally broke it on the tenth try, but Shawn Bai and Colin Green had already escaped.
Liam Li looked at Evan Yang in horror, "Let me go! Now that they’ve left, they’ll definitely report to the Enforcement Corps. If you let me go, I can testify for you!"
"Testify? That’s not necessary. When you attacked, you should have expected this day. Besides, you all teamed up against me—why would I let you off?" Evan Yang said.
"Don’t—don’t kill me. Anyway, I have no cultivation left, so I can’t affect you." Liam Li said gloomily.
Evan Yang smiled, "That’s true, but you’ve lost your cultivation—I can’t let you off that easily." He tapped Liam Li a few times.
Liam Li suddenly felt his immortal energy couldn’t flow. He was shocked, "What’s happening?"
"Now you’ll never recover your cultivation—consider it saving your life. I’m leaving, goodbye." Evan Yang knew the other two would report on him, so killing or not killing was irrelevant. He left the cave.
Outside, Evan found himself on an unknown planet, so he released Yancy Namgung.
Yancy Namgung had been cultivating inside for a long time. When she saw Evan Yang, she exclaimed, "Why did you let me out?"
"Let you out? That sounds so unpleasant. I’ve already left the Fire God Palace—we should get back to business." Evan Yang said.
"Where to?" Yancy Namgung asked curiously.
"Where else? The Miraculous Holy Palace, of course. Once I finish my agreement with the Palace Lord, I’ll be free—and you’ll be free too." Evan Yang smiled.
Yancy Namgung looked a little sad when she heard this. She couldn’t help but ask, "Don’t you want me by your side?"
"Miss Namgung, what are you saying? I’m just a disciple of the Miraculous Holy Palace. Besides, I helped you this time—you owe me a favor." Evan Yang smiled.
"That’s true—I’ll repay that favor." Yancy Namgung smiled, but thought to herself, "When will you realize I’ve already fallen for you?"
Evan Yang had no idea what Yancy Namgung was thinking. He just wanted to finish this task and focus on finding his father.
The two headed for the capital of the Miraculous Holy Palace. On the way, Yancy Namgung was silent, but her mind was full of thoughts—if Evan really finished his task, would they part ways?
It took quite a while to reach the capital. Returning after so many years, they were still far from the thousand-year mark.
The Palace Lord of the Miraculous Holy Palace never expected Evan Yang to succeed, nor to return to the capital so quickly.
The Palace Lord was resting in the Holy Palace when someone reported that his daughter and Evan Yang had returned. He jumped up, "Returned? What for?"
"I don’t know," the servant replied.
The Palace Lord nodded, then went to meet Evan Yang and Yancy Namgung.
When he saw the two, his face was still gloomy, but he asked, "What? Back so soon?"
"Palace Lord, I’ve fulfilled all your conditions. Please take a look," Evan Yang said.
"Oh? So fast? Really? You’re not here to trick me, are you?" The Palace Lord didn’t believe Evan Yang was capable, especially in so few years.
But when Evan Yang produced the million-year-old toad and the ten-million-year-old wooden heart, the Palace Lord was stunned. He could hardly believe it, but it was true. He forced a smile, "Not bad, but there’s still one condition left—don’t forget, there are three conditions."
