Ian Song’s Frustration

Ten days!

It took only ten days.

Dozens of cities and territories that had just been reclaimed were retaken by the Insect Horde. The time was so short that the ordinary Humans who had just moved back didn’t even have a chance to evacuate—they all became food for the insects.

Blackrock City. On the city wall, Victor Chao, the commander, looked down at the dense Insect Horde below—he had not a shred of confidence left.

Over the past ten days, he led his army in a fighting retreat, but the losses were devastating. From more than a hundred thousand Human troops, fewer than a hundred thousand remained.

Worse, after the Insect Queen devoured huge numbers of Humans, she produced countless new insects. The Horde now numbered over three hundred billion.

And within those three hundred billion, more than two hundred Sun-Soul-level Insectoids were lurking.

This group of Insectoids was extremely cunning, specializing in hunting down Human experts.

Of the Sigilforge warriors under Victor Chao, more than half had been killed in this period. The casualties were simply catastrophic.

"Commander, maybe we should retreat. Our reinforcements won't arrive for at least three days, and with our current numbers, there's no way we can hold!" a general said anxiously.
