Helen Jiang Expelled from the Jiang Family

1/4/2026

Now, the crowd that had been watching scattered, leaving the place eerily quiet.

Helen Jiang looked up and saw Eric Jiang.

Helen Jiang's glance held countless emotions.

Regret, remorse, unwillingness, anger, struggle—all these emotions flashed through her eyes.

Eric Jiang didn't look at Helen Jiang. He directly ordered the servants: "Separate them, interrogate all the men, and lock up Helen Jiang."

The servants, faces flushed, rushed in and separated the group, eyes tightly shut.

Helen Jiang, still under the influence of the medication, instinctively clung to the male servant who tried to separate her.

The male servant was so frightened, he nearly turned and ran on the spot!

Suppressing their disgust, the servants packed up Helen Jiang and carried her away. The remaining men were also taken for interrogation.

After everyone left, Eric Jiang felt his steps falter, his body weak.

Henry Shaw caught Eric Jiang before he could stumble, his stern face unmoved by the turmoil around them.

"Thanks," Eric Jiang muttered, forcing a bitter smile. "Mr. Shaw, could you take me to see my cousin?"

A flicker of emotion finally crossed Henry Shaw’s eyes. He nodded silently.

Charles Yin had already notified him when he arrived.

He was told to let Eric Jiang come over once he woke up.

So when Eric Jiang asked to see Charles Yin, Henry Shaw agreed immediately.

When Eric Jiang returned to Cecilia Gu’s room, he realized she was gone. Only Charles Yin remained, sitting with effortless elegance on the sofa, turning two priceless walnuts in his hands.

Eric Jiang recognized those walnuts instantly—they were worth tens of millions each, a symbol of power and taste.

Charles Yin used to fiddle with lighters, but ever since Cecilia Gu became pregnant, anything that could harm the baby was strictly forbidden.

They say walnuts nourish the brain, so now Charles Yin’s hands are always busy with them.

Even when playing, you have to do proper prenatal education!

Charles Yin didn't get up when Eric Jiang came in, just smiled and said, "Cousin, you used to be stronger. Now you've let someone like Helen Jiang play you for a fool."

Eric Jiang glanced around the room, saw no one else, understood Charles Yin wanted to talk business, and sat down across from him.

Eric Jiang gave a bitter smile. "I really didn’t expect her to do something like this."

Charles Yin paused, set the walnuts down, folded his hands, and looked seriously at Eric Jiang. "Indeed, a proper heiress would never do such a thing. Aunt already called me, told me to do what’s necessary. Cousin, you know what that means."

Eric Jiang understood immediately, his face turned pale. "There’s no chance to fix this?"

Charles Yin shook his head. "Cousin, indecisiveness is the worst flaw for an heir."

Eric Jiang lowered his head, thought for a while, and said, "I get what you mean. Charles, I’m not you. I don’t have your guts or dominance. Ever since Nora Yun died, I haven’t cared about much. I’m the only heir, no uncles or cousins fighting for the family fortune. Sometimes, I don’t even want to be the heir."

Charles Yin’s eyes narrowed. "Cousin, that’s harsh. Your parents only have you, and your mother’s done everything for you. Helen Jiang was just a distraction, and now you’ve let her ruin you."

Eric Jiang said nothing.

In terms of dominance, Eric Jiang was indeed no match for Charles Yin.

Eric Jiang had a soft heart.

Despite everything Helen Jiang had done to him, he still cherished the bond they shared growing up and wanted to give her another chance.

"No wonder Aunt asked me to do what’s necessary," Charles Yin sighed. "Tomorrow morning, the announcement expelling Helen Jiang from the Jiang Family will be made public. Not only that, but she will lose her surname and revert to her former identity. The Jiang Family cannot tolerate such a stain."

Eric Jiang’s face turned ashen. He asked hesitantly, "What about after that?"

"After that?" Charles Yin smirked. "Are you planning to see her again?"

Eric Jiang remained silent.

"Now that Helen Jiang has been expelled and lost her identity, she’s no longer one of us. Cousin, don’t let small things ruin the big picture. Don’t let Cecilia’s efforts for you go to waste. She sacrificed my chief assistant to protect you today." Charles Yin said bluntly, "Cecilia, as a woman, can stand tall and strong. Cousin, when will you step out of your own world? Nora Yun is gone and will never return. Cecilia has been protecting you for Nora’s sake. Do you expect the woman you love’s sister to keep shielding you forever?"

Charles Yin’s last two sentences struck deep in Eric Jiang’s heart.

Cecilia has been protecting me?
