"Victor Su, I gave you a choice just now, but you didn't appreciate it. Now, you won't get another chance like that." Dr. Donald Dong sneered and stepped forward.
With a single stomp, he left a deep print in the floor.
Victor Su's face turned grim. He suddenly grabbed Molly Su beside him and shoved her toward Evan Lin, who was standing behind.
Without looking back, Victor Su called out urgently, "Young man, please take Molly and get out of here!"
"Grandpa!"
Molly Su's eyes filled with tears as she cried out to Dr. Donald Dong, "I'll go with you! Just let my grandpa go!"
"Let him go? Keep dreaming, little girl. I don't really care about your grandfather, but if the Jinnan Su family starts holding a grudge, that's trouble I don't need. As for you, don't worry—once I kill your grandpa and take you away, I'll make sure to 'take good care of you.'" Dr. Donald Dong let out a chilling laugh, his eyes greedy as he stared at Molly Su.
As for Victor Su, Dr. Donald Dong didn't even spare him a glance.
"Young man! Take Molly and go!" Victor Su repeated, his voice sharp and unyielding. "Consider it a debt Victor Su owes you!"
"You think that kid alone can get your granddaughter out of here? You really underestimate me." Dr. Donald Dong shook his head, amused.
Molly Su bit her lip hard, her mind in utter chaos.
First the Lin family forced her into marriage, now the Miracle Hand Sect wanted to take her away, and the only one who could protect her—her grandfather Victor Su—might die here at any moment.
Thinking of all this, a wave of despair welled up in Molly Su's eyes.
Just then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw the young man beside her slowly crouch down and pick up the box of silver needles from the floor.
"You should go. There's no need for you to stay here." Molly glanced at Evan Lin, took a deep breath, and tried to steady her voice.
After she finished speaking, she didn't look at Evan Lin again. Instead, she walked resolutely to Victor Su's side, her usually gentle face now set with rare determination.
Seeing this, Victor Su sighed softly, feeling a deep ache in his heart.
Dr. Donald Dong clicked his tongue mockingly. "What, planning to die with your grandpa?"
When he came upstairs earlier, Dr. Donald Dong had only glanced at Evan Lin standing off to the side. He hadn't bothered to give the boy a real look, treating him like air.
Victor Su knew Molly had made up her mind and that trying to persuade her was pointless. He turned to Evan Lin and said apologetically, "Young man, I'm sorry for dragging you into this and making you come all the way to this villa. Please, you should leave now."
"This has nothing to do with you, and I don't want you dragged into it. If I ever get the chance, I, Victor Su, will definitely repay this favor." Victor Su's tone was heavy with emotion.
He knew Evan Lin had already refined inner strength—after all, last time at Three Thousand Mountain, Evan's punch had knocked Blade flat, and the power behind that blow was extraordinary.
But Victor Su still didn't believe Evan Lin could stand up to Dr. Donald Dong, who was at the peak of Inner Strength.
Peak Inner Strength was a terrifying level of power, far beyond what ordinary people could ever hope to challenge.
Maybe, given a few more years, this young man could reach peak Inner Strength himself. But... what a pity.
Victor Su sighed inwardly, then a surge of heroic spirit welled up inside him. He'd fought his whole life—on the battlefield in his youth, in the business world later on—and every step had been taken over the corpses of others.
If worst comes to worst, dying here is still better than wasting away in bed.
At that thought, Victor Su abruptly turned his head—just as Evan Lin opened the box, looking over the eighteen silver needles lined up inside, ranging from the finest hair-thin ones to thick ones five millimeters across, all arranged perfectly in the case.
Evan Lin picked up the thickest silver needle, glanced at it a few times, and said with a hint of indifference, "Too bad, these silver needles are really poor quality."
His voice was quiet, but clear enough for everyone in the room to hear.
Dr. Donald Dong shot Evan Lin a cold glare and said icily, "Kid, I'll give you ten seconds to get out of my sight. Otherwise, I'll kill you right here along with them!"
"So you're saying you want to kill me?"
Evan Lin lifted his head slightly, his gaze steady and tranquil as he looked at Dr. Donald Dong standing before him.
"That's right—die!" Dr. Donald Dong sneered, his aura surging as he shot toward Evan Lin. His hand flashed out, inner strength pouring from his palm, giving off a sense of crushing power.
"Watch out!"
Seeing Dr. Donald Dong lunge at Evan Lin, Victor Su's expression changed dramatically and he shouted in alarm.
But Dr. Donald Dong was incredibly fast; in a flash, he'd already closed the distance.
Just as Victor Su felt a wave of despair, Molly Su suddenly widened her eyes, staring at Evan Lin.
She saw the young man standing his ground, not dodging or flinching.
He pinched the silver needle between his fingers, and with a slight tremor of his arm, the needle shattered into countless tiny silver fragments.
The countless silver fragments shimmered faintly in the sunlight, slowly floating in front of Evan Lin.
It was as if some invisible force was suspending those tiny fragments in midair.
"What... what is this?"
Victor Su's heart lurched in shock, his gaze at Evan Lin now filled with utter disbelief.
"Not good!" Dr. Donald Dong instinctively sensed danger. His eyes narrowed and he tried to retreat, but before he could move, a calm voice sounded in his ear.
"Go!"
Evan Lin gave a soft command, his right hand flicking upward.
In an instant, the shattered silver fragments lined up before him like a miniature galaxy, a small shining ribbon of light.
Then, like a cascade of starlight from the heavens, the silver ribbon shot toward Dr. Donald Dong with a thunderous force!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The sound of silver fragments slicing through the air filled the room.
Each silver fragment was as sharp as a blade, and in an instant, they converged into a stream and pierced straight into Dr. Donald Dong's skin.
Bang!
In Victor Su and Molly Su's eyes, Dr. Dong's fist stopped abruptly, hovering just three inches from Evan Lin.
A heartbeat later, every silver fragment had embedded itself deep into Dr. Dong's flesh.
Dr. Donald Dong was thrown backward, rolling across the floor several times. When he finally stopped, Victor Su and Molly Su turned to look—only to see a cold, lifeless corpse.
"A petty villain like you dares to spout nonsense in front of me?"
Evan Lin looked at him with utter indifference, as if he were just a dead dog.
