Piercing Kick Duel

"So, looks like you want to spar with me, huh?" Shawn Young raised his eyebrows and said.

"Heh heh—" The burly man in black didn't answer directly, just chuckled twice, clearly agreeing.

At this moment, Charles Morin, looking a bit embarrassed, suddenly said to the man in black, "Brother Jack Chen, I know everyone in your Iron Vanguard is a master, but let me remind you—my buddy Shawn Young isn't a pushover either!"

"Heh heh—Young Master Morin, let's let our skills do the talking!" Jack Chen said proudly.

Hearing this, Shawn simply pushed open the car door and stepped out, saying to Jack Chen, "Heh heh—Alright! I agree with you. Let's settle this with our skills!"

"That's exactly what I was thinking!" Jack Chen felt a surge of fighting spirit. He couldn't tell how strong Shawn Young really was—Shawn looked gentle and always wore a smile, so Jack suspected he was just some spoiled rich kid who'd landed a government job thanks to family connections. Jack knew such things weren't uncommon!

As someone who'd climbed up from humble beginnings through sheer skill, Jack Chen especially disliked these privileged types. That's also why he didn't show much respect to Charles Morin.

"Heh heh—If you two want to fight, pick a spacious spot with plenty of people around. That way, you'll have an audience and can really go at it!" Charles Morin got excited, clearly enjoying the chaos.

Shawn was about to agree when Yvonne Hu, still in the Lamborghini, tapped on the window. Shawn quickly turned to look and saw Yvonne's face flushed red. She pointed at her own mouth, winked at him, and anxiously shook her head.

Shawn immediately understood and, with a hint of apology, asked Jack Chen, "Brother, my girlfriend really needs to use the restroom. Could you let her in first to take care of some personal business?"

Unexpectedly, Jack Chen shook his head and looked at Shawn with obvious disdain. "Heh—Mr. Young, if you really want to get inside, you don't need such a lame excuse! If you just go get your credentials and come back, we'll let you through."

"Uh—so you think I'm trying to pull a fast one! Well, there's nothing more to say then! Let's settle this with our fists!" Shawn sneered, furious that Jack Chen thought he and Yvonne were just trying to sneak into the Emerald Court.

"Fine! Let's do what Young Master Morin suggested and find a crowded spot to spar! I really want to see how tough these so-called security elites are!" Jack Chen wanted nothing more than to embarrass Shawn Young, this 'reckless rich kid,' in front of everyone.

"Hmph! No need to make it so complicated. Let's just fight right here! It'll only take a moment anyway," Shawn snorted, his irritation flaring at Jack Chen's arrogance.

"What?! Right here? Mr. Young, you sure think highly of yourself!" Jack Chen was stunned at first, then let out a cold laugh.

"If you wanna fight, let's fight! Stop whining. My girlfriend still needs the bathroom, so you guys can come at me together! That way, you can't say I didn't give you a chance. Saves us all the trouble!" Shawn's tone was outrageously cocky.

"All of us at once!? Then I really want to see if Mr. Young is qualified to talk so big!" Jack Chen was so angry he laughed. He spread his feet, tensed his whole body, muscles taut like springs, ready to unleash his power.

"Hmm? What kind of kung fu is this?" Shawn noticed Jack Chen's stance—it was as fierce as a hawk diving for a rabbit, full of sharp intent. He figured it must be a pretty savage style.

"This is Water Margin School kung fu!" Jack Chen replied with a cold smile.

"Water Margin School? Never heard of it," Shawn asked, puzzled. Although he'd trained under Master Yuan Zhen and heard plenty of martial arts stories, he really couldn't recall this 'Water Margin School.'

"Heh—You might not know Water Margin School, but I'm sure you've heard of Piercing Kick School, Mr. Young!" Jack Chen sneered, his eyes flashing with contempt.

"Oh—so it's Piercing Kick School! I didn't know it had a nickname like 'Water Margin School!'" Shawn said in surprise. (Note: Piercing Kick is a Chinese martial art focusing on leg techniques. It's said to have originated in the Song dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing. According to legend, Wu Song used Piercing Kick moves in his famous fight, which is why it's also called 'Water Margin School.')

"Heh—You'll find out soon enough!" Jack Chen sneered, tensed his body, and—whoosh!—launched himself at Shawn like an arrow, reaching out to grab him by the chest.

The grab looked fierce, but Shawn knew it was just a feint. Master Yuan Zhen had told him the key to Piercing Kick School: the legs are the foundation. If your feet are steady, your body is steady. Advance with the feet, the body follows; retreat, the body follows; move inside, the body slants; move outside, the body crouches; when kicking, the hands lead. Hands are the vanguard, feet are the commander; fists strike six directions, kicks hit eight.

As the manual says: 'Kick the enemy without mercy, let the hands guide the way; never strike or retreat in vain, flying kicks hit the ribs, victory every time.' Kicks are seventy percent, punches thirty percent—kicks must be faster than punches. Hands clear obstacles and confuse the opponent, hands three parts, feet seven parts. If you meet a punch head-on, the opponent's kick will follow immediately.

Plus, Piercing Kick School's leg techniques are heavy—getting hit is no joke. Jack Chen's attack was fierce, and Shawn could feel the power behind it. Clearly, Jack had put in serious work mastering this style!

Shawn bent his legs like springs and suddenly launched himself backward. He'd practiced this move thousands of times—smooth, powerful, and perfectly timed. Like flowing water, he retreated two meters in an instant, dodging Jack's punch and escaping the range of his next attack. Shawn quickly steadied himself and raised his hands, palms open, one in front and one behind.

Jack Chen saw Shawn stop and recognized the stance—clearly, it was Bajiquan. He laughed, "Why aren't you attacking? Planning to counter with Bajiquan?" With that, he suddenly hopped forward and kicked. This time, it was a true Piercing Kick School move: the Scissor Kick. He angled his back at forty-five degrees, bent his left leg, and straightened his right, sliding it along the ground. Shawn watched the technique—one move was actually two: first a knee strike, then a straight kick, both aimed at the chest. Each hit could easily incapacitate someone. Shawn narrowed his eyes, then, instead of retreating, leapt forward, hands behind his back, body straight, and aimed at Jack's knee. The move was Bajiquan, but Shawn had altered it, mixing in 'Flash Power.' Even a Bajiquan master wouldn't recognize it.

Shawn's move was pure power—head-to-head with Jack Chen! Whoever's tougher wins!

In the blink of an eye, both attacked—just one second, and—boom! With a muffled thud, Jack Chen cried out miserably and flew backward like a broken kite, landing in the roadside bushes. Blood spurted from his mouth, his body twitching as if struck by lightning—he couldn't get up again.
