Fiona Nangong walked over to the white Lamborghini and greeted the girl sitting inside, Yvonne Hu. She reached out her hand and said, "Hi—hello, pretty girl! My name is Fiona Nangong. You must be Shawn Young's girlfriend, right? Can I get to know you?"
"Uh—hello! I-I'm Yvonne Hu!" Sitting in the car, Yvonne was surprised to see a stunning beauty in a cheongsam appear before her, calling Shawn Young by name. Though she felt a bit awkward, out of politeness she reached out and gently shook Fiona Nangong's hand.
"Hehe—Yvonne, you’re really beautiful, and so delicate! Shawn Young is such a lucky guy. You know, Shawn is a total bad boy!" Fiona Nangong started tattling.
Yvonne blushed at this, surprised by how friendly Fiona Nangong was. Because there were too many people outside earlier, she hadn’t seen the fight inside or what had happened. Now, with Fiona showing up and calling Shawn Young a bad boy, Yvonne assumed they must be close. She quietly asked, "Yeah, he really is bad! Sis, did Shawn bully you too?"
Fiona Nangong immediately replied, "Of course! That guy is so bad, he not only hit me, but kept staring at my chest and butt! He’s just too much!"
"Oh—that’s just how he is. Whenever he sees a beautiful woman, he acts like that! Especially with a gorgeous lady like you, Sis, with your looks and figure. If Shawn didn’t look at you that way, he wouldn’t be Shawn Young!" Yvonne Hu covered her mouth and giggled.
"Hmph—Yvonne, you really need to keep an eye on Shawn Young, or who knows, he might sneak off and mess around behind your back one day!" Fiona Nangong kept badmouthing Shawn. Ever since Shawn "violated" her with his gaze, she’d developed a mischievous urge to go against him.
"Sigh—I, I can’t control him! Sis, I really don’t have what it takes! Shawn Young is just that kind of guy! There’s nothing I can do—" Yvonne sighed softly. Thinking about how Shawn hadn’t spared even her mother, Fang Ying, with his "beastly behavior," she didn’t want to explain further. Most importantly, she knew Shawn was a playboy, but she couldn’t help falling for him. Ever since she made up her mind, she’d decided to just accept everything about Shawn Young!
"What—what kind of attitude is that? Are you just going to let him mess around? Oh my god! Yvonne, you’re a woman of the 21st century! Why—why are you acting like a woman from feudal times?!" Fiona Nangong couldn’t believe how passive Yvonne was, her almond eyes wide in disbelief.
Yvonne Hu simply smiled and sighed, "Yeah! Sis, no matter what you say, this is my own business. Thank you for your concern, but I’ve already accepted my fate!"
Fiona Nangong was left utterly frustrated by Yvonne’s attitude, her face darkened with annoyance. Not knowing what else to say, she stomped her foot and exclaimed, "Ugh—you're driving me crazy! I’m done with you, I’m leaving!"
As she said this, Fiona Nangong walked away and, passing Shawn Young, shot him a fierce glare and muttered under her breath, "Hmph—bad boy!"
"Uh—" Shawn Young felt baffled by her glare, but remembering he might have offended her earlier, and knowing she was a bit "petty," he just shrugged awkwardly and ignored her.
Standing behind Samuel Morin, Charles Morin found it strange and asked, "Sis Nangong, what’s wrong? Didn’t we already clear things up with Shawn Young? Why are you still mad at him?"
Fiona Nangong’s face darkened at his words. Her beautiful eyes glared at Charles Morin as she coldly replied, "I just like yelling at him, so what? Charles, you’re siding with that guy, huh? Not happy about it?"
"Uh—forget I said anything—" Charles Morin was startled by her glare. Fiona Nangong’s reputation among the Three Great Houses was legendary; she was considered the top young woman of her generation. Charles knew better than to cross her, so he quickly backed down.
Samuel Morin and Quentin Easton exchanged glances, noticing how Fiona Nangong, usually calm, was acting like she’d swallowed a stick of dynamite. They thought about trying to say something, but since Fiona represented the Nangong Family and was equal in status to them, they kept quiet, making the atmosphere awkward.
Seeing everyone staring at her, Fiona Nangong suddenly realized her mood was unusually irritable today. She thought for a moment and remembered her period was coming soon—every month, she’d get especially cranky at this time! But that was her "unspeakable secret." Her cheeks flushed, she pouted, and offered, "Uh—it’s about time, let’s head in for the meeting!"
"Oh! Okay—" Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and answered in unison.
"Well, I—I’ll go set up the altar first!" said Fiona Nangong. Ignoring everyone’s stares, she hurried off alone toward the Bihua Court private club, needing to deal with her period, which only came every three months.
Once Fiona Nangong left, Samuel Morin gave Shawn Young a wry smile and said, "Hehe—Shawn, sorry about that. Fiona isn’t usually like this; I don’t know what’s gotten into her today, she’s so irritable!"
Shawn Young shook his head and smiled, "Oh—it’s fine! Women are allowed to have a little moodiness! Hehe—"
Samuel Morin suddenly made a quick calculation with his fingers, then leaned in with a teasing smile and said to Shawn Young, "Hehe—Shawn, the reading says 'Small Fortune'—looks like you and Fiona Nangong will have a fateful connection in the future!"
Quentin Easton was surprised and smiled at Samuel Morin, "Hehe—Samuel, you couldn’t help yourself and did a reading for Shawn, huh? Your fortune-telling is famously accurate, so if you say Fiona will be entangled with Shawn, it’s probably true!"
"Hehe—yep, that’s what the reading shows. It’s fate—" Samuel Morin laughed.
"Fate! Fate can’t be defied! Shawn, Samuel’s fortune-telling is legendary in all of China! Looks like you and Fiona have a romantic destiny ahead—lucky you! Hehe—" Quentin Easton grinned at Shawn Young.
Standing nearby, Charles Morin looked at Shawn Young sympathetically and said, "Oh—Shawn, if Fiona really falls for you, I pray you find a way to handle her! She’s a handful! We’ll be counting on you to keep her in check!"
"Uh—what kind of talk is that! Nothing’s happened yet, how do you all know I’ll get involved with her?" Shawn Young protested, feeling a bit embarrassed. But inside, he was secretly excited—having a chance to hook up with a top-tier goddess like Fiona Nangong was definitely a thrilling prospect!
"Hehe—Shawn, since you’re a Taoist cultivator, you should know about the Six Ren Divination?" Samuel Morin asked.
"Oh, I know about the 'Six Ren Divination' from the Tang Dynasty’s Li Chunfeng—it’s a very precise fortune-telling method. But I don’t actually know how to use it!" Shawn Young quickly replied.
"Hehe—I just used the 'Six Ren Divination' method for my earlier reading. It’s best for predicting things that happen on the same day or in the short term. I saw things getting weird between you and Fiona, so I did a quick reading, and the result was ‘Small Fortune!’ That means if things progress, good things will happen! Shawn—go for it!" Samuel Morin laughed.
"Uh—well—let’s talk about it when the time comes!" Shawn Young blushed, feeling awkward.
"Hehe—right, right, everything will work out naturally. Let’s just wait and see. It’s getting late, we should head in! We still have to perform the ancestral ritual!" Quentin Easton urged with a smile.
