After Evan Chu stepped onto the second floor, he was instantly stunned by the scene before his eyes—it was nothing like what he had imagined.
The space here was shrouded in gray mist, visibility less than five meters. At first glance, the second floor seemed small, but after walking for ages Evan still hadn’t reached any edge. Even stranger, there wasn’t a single thing here—at least, nothing he’d seen or bumped into yet.
“Why is it so empty here? Sword Spirit, do you have any ideas?” Evan asked inwardly.
“This is a barrier space. Whoever created it had at least sixth-level Earth Martial Realm strength—most likely one of your Chu ancestors.”
“Sixth-level Earth Martial Realm? That’s insanely strong, so how come I can’t find any martial arts here?” Evan was shocked, but he hadn’t forgotten his true purpose for coming.
After a moment, the Sword Spirit replied, “Sixth-level Earth Martial Realm is already considered a master around here. This is a barrier space—you need to search using stellar force. Try channeling the star power inside your body.”
With a method in hand, Evan hurried to circulate his internal stellar force. But a very real problem stumped him: he had no idea how to actually use star power to search.
“To see things with stellar force, you have to clear your mind of distractions, spread star power through your whole body, and sense with your consciousness. This barrier was set up by someone at sixth-level Earth Martial Realm—removing it would be tough for you at your current level.”
Evan nodded, half-understanding, half-confused. He once again circulated his stellar force as the Sword Spirit instructed, spreading it through his body and trying to sense with his mind.
The place was utterly empty. Whether his eyes were open or closed, there seemed to be no difference. Evan moved forward slowly, and suddenly he seemed to glimpse a stone table, with an exquisite box sitting on top.
