One Step Away

"Is it easy to walk out of this formation?"

Logan Lu asked a pretty dumb question. If it were easy, how could it be Nightstar's strongest trump card?

But Blake Lin didn't seem annoyed at all.

"The hardest part of the Four Seasons Grand Array is that the force and energy inside the formation stack and cycle with each other."

"In other words, if you enter from the spring segment, you have to withstand the power of spring first."

"When you finish walking through the spring segment, it looks like you've resisted all its power, but actually, its force and energy are handed off to summer."

"Does that make sense?"

Blake Lin asked.

Logan Lu half-understood, half-confused: "So, the further you go, the harder it gets?"

"Yeah, the Four Seasons Grand Array looks like a single formation, but it's actually four smaller formations linked together. You can only move through them one at a time."

Blake Lin nodded. "But this Four Seasons Grand Array in front of us is still a bit small."

"The Four Seasons Grand Array of our Lin family is truly spectacular—far beyond this little formation Nightstar's four are playing with. It's a shame I can't take you to see it."

Blake Lin shook his head.

Hearing this, Logan Lu felt a surge of excitement inside.

Even though Blake Lin said he couldn't take him to see it, the fact that he would say something like that meant he more or less saw him as half a friend already.

That was a good sign.

Unfortunately, Logan Lu knew Blake Lin's personality well. He knew Blake didn't like showing off, so even though Logan often got to see him, he'd never dare to use Blake's name to show off in public.

"No big deal. Maybe I'll get a chance someday."

Logan Lu chuckled awkwardly. Blake Lin didn't say anything more when he heard that.

"By the way, if you went into this Four Seasons Grand Array here, how long would it take you to get out?"

Logan Lu asked curiously.

This Four Seasons Grand Array in front of them was only about ten meters across, but already felt mysterious enough. Logan Lu couldn't even imagine what the Upper-Grade Lin Clan's version must look like.

Still, he could guess Blake Lin's time here, then ask about the Lin family's time, and compare the two. Maybe then he'd get a rough idea of what the Upper-Grade Lin Clan's Four Seasons Grand Array was really like.

"This one here."

Blake Lin thought for a moment. "About three minutes."

Hearing that, Logan Lu was shocked, but quickly followed up: "Then how long did it take you to walk out of your Lin family's Four Seasons Grand Array?"

"Three days and three nights."

Blake Lin's voice was calm.

Hearing that, Logan Lu was stunned.

This little array here only took three minutes, but the Lin family's Four Seasons Grand Array took a full three days and three nights!

There's really no comparison between the two.

"So your Lin family's Four Seasons Grand Array is really almost impossible, huh?"

Logan Lu couldn't help but sigh. He didn't ask where the Upper-Grade Lin Clan was—things like that, even if he asked, Blake Lin probably wouldn't say.

And even if Blake Lin did tell him, knowing wouldn't do him any good.

Logan Lu couldn't even get through their front gate.

"It's fine. If someone too weak from the Lin family showed up in this world, it'd be pretty embarrassing."

Blake Lin shook his head. His words were light, almost casual.

But the meaning was crystal clear.

Anyone from the Upper-Grade Lin Clan who shows up in this world must be a real powerhouse.

If you're a bit weaker, you just stay quietly in the Lin family. You won't even get a chance to leave.

"So, what do you think? That Master Lin from Seacrest over there—could he really make it through this array? How long would it take him?"

Logan Lu asked, curiosity written all over his face.

If Blake Lin could do it in three minutes, maybe Master Lin from Seacrest would need half an hour?

Or maybe a whole hour?

Or maybe he'd step in and never come back out?

Logan Lu's mind was spinning. The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to see what Master Lin from Seacrest could really pull off.

"No idea. Doubt it'll be that easy."

Blake Lin just shook his head, not interested in overthinking it—he was never the type to waste brainpower on stuff like this.

Besides, Blake Lin was only here for the spectacle—getting involved wasn't his thing today.

As for Master Lin from Seacrest, the combat strength he'd shown since walking in had actually surprised Blake Lin a bit.
