Hearing Princess Lana mutter to herself, Ian Song couldn’t help but smile knowingly. Looks like this Sixth Princess is pretty sharp.
Suddenly.
Ian’s eyes narrowed, and a trace of surprise flickered at the corner of his mouth. He thought to himself, could someone in the Heavenly Court really dare make a move against the Queen Mother’s daughter?
He had just noticed a black figure lurking in a cloud bank several dozen li ahead, greedily staring at Princess Lana as she flew toward him.
Twenty li.
Ten li.
Five li.
Two li.
Getting close!
The black shadow hiding in the clouds finally couldn’t hold back and made his move.
He threw out a black rope, and with a swoosh, it shot out like black lightning, tightly binding Princess Lana.
Caught off guard, Princess Lana let out a sharp scream, then tried to channel her divine power to break free. But to her shock, the more she struggled, the tighter the rope became.
Panicking, she cried out, "Who is it? Who dares ambush a princess?"
“Heh heh!”
With a creepy laugh, the black figure flew out of the clouds and landed beside Princess Lana. His greedy gaze swept over her as he clicked his tongue, "No wonder you’re the Queen Mother’s daughter—born beautiful!"
"How dare you! Who are you? Let me go right now, or my mother will never spare you!" Princess Lana shouted, but her fear was obvious.
"Princess Lana, I advise you not to waste your energy. My master has had me watching you for a long time, and right now, no one’s coming to save you!"
As he spoke, the black figure chopped Princess Lana on the neck, knocking her out, then slung her over his shoulder and sped off in a certain direction.
Interesting!
Seeing this, Ian Song showed a playful expression. He was curious to see who was behind this demon cultivator kidnapping the Queen Mother’s daughter.
That’s right, the black figure was a demon cultivator. His cultivation wasn’t high—just late Nascent Soul stage—but the black rope in his hand was a top-tier spirit artifact, at least sixth or seventh grade.
There’s no way a minor demon like him could possess something so powerful on his own.
In the Heavenly Court, aside from the regular gods, Heaven Soldiers, and idle immortals, there are plenty of loose cultivators—both human and demon.
Unlike the cultivation world, here humans and demons aren’t mortal enemies. After all, many demons serve in the Heavenly Court, like Howling Celestial Dog under Lord Erlang—he’s a demon god.
Sun Wukong and Pigsy are also considered demons, and especially in the Western Spirit Mountain, there are even more demon gods.
The black figure carried Princess Lana and sped through the air for about three hours, finally entering a dense forest. Though it looked ordinary, the forest was protected by a formation that could fool divine senses.
So, even regular immortals and gods who came here would overlook the forest, treating it as nothing special.
"Not bad—decent array skills!"
Ian Song nodded to himself, pinched a few seals, and slipped through the formation into the forest without alerting anyone.
Once inside, the black figure slowed down. Clearly, this was his home base, and he was confident in his outer formation.
He ran through the woods for another half a quarter of an hour.
The black figure brought Princess Lana to the entrance of a valley.
But this was no ordinary valley—it was guarded by multiple layers of formations, with extremely tight security.
"Master, Little Black is back!"
The black figure called out toward the valley, and at once the formation rippled, opening a gateway. Without hesitation, he carried Princess Lana inside.
After entering, the demon who called himself Little Black arrived at the entrance of a cave.
The cave was spacious, with luminous night-pearls embedded in the walls, a stone bed, a stone table, and two stone stools.
At that moment, a young man in black robes sat cross-legged on the stone bed, a bloody mark between his brows and an eerie, feminine aura.
Suddenly, the black-robed youth opened his eyes and said coolly, "Bring her in."
"Yes, sir!"
Little Black looked even more respectful as he carried Princess Lana inside.
The black-robed youth reached out and grabbed Princess Lana, lifting her and placing her on the stone bed. Then he waved at Little Black, "You can leave now."
"Yes, Master!"
Once Little Black left, the black-robed youth turned his full attention to Princess Lana. With a wave, the black rope flashed into his sleeve. He tapped her lightly, and Princess Lana slowly woke up.
"Who are you?"
Princess Lana shrank back instinctively when she saw the black-robed youth, her face wary.
The youth grinned wickedly. "Who I am doesn’t matter. I’ll be your man soon enough!"
"How dare you! I’m the Queen Mother’s daughter. If you insult me, my mother will never let you go!" Princess Lana retorted, her voice fierce but trembling.
"Heh."
The youth sneered, "So what if you’re the Queen Mother’s daughter? Even Don Young, a mere mortal, got to sleep with the Seventh Fairy. Why shouldn’t I take you for myself?"
"I’m warning you, don’t do anything stupid! What you’re doing breaks Heaven’s laws!"
Princess Lana repeated herself, her tone now pleading.
"Heh, so what if it breaks Heaven’s laws!"
The black-robed youth grew more contemptuous. Suddenly, he pounced at Princess Lana like a tiger.
"Ah! Get away from me!"
Princess Lana screamed, firing a ray of immortal light at the youth, then shot toward the cave entrance.
"Come back!"
The youth curled his lip and waved his hand, knocking the immortal light aside. Then he grabbed at the air, and Princess Lana, who’d just reached the cave entrance, was pulled backward against her will.
But just then—
A figure flashed. A white silhouette suddenly appeared at the cave mouth, reached out, and wrapped Princess Lana in a warm energy, pulling her out of the cave!
Ian Song reached out to steady the wobbly Princess Lana, asking with concern, "Are you alright?"
"Thank you, I’m fine!"
Princess Lana replied softly, then took the opportunity to slip free from Ian’s hand.
"So, someone came to ruin my plans!"
With his hands behind his back, the black-robed youth strolled out of the cave, eyeing Ian Song coldly. "You managed to break into my array—impressive. If you kneel and serve me, I’ll spare your life!"
"Arrogant fool!" Ian Song sneered, lips curling in mockery.
"Courting death!"
Anger flashed in the youth’s eyes. He raised his right hand, and a black lightning bolt shot from his sleeve.
"Watch out!" Princess Lana cried, remembering how dangerous the black rope was.
"Hmph!"
But Ian Song just snorted disdainfully and flicked his finger, sending a flash of green light to meet the black lightning. The two collided and exploded, revealing the black rope’s true form. Ian reached out and caught the rope in his hand.
