This left Farrow utterly miserable. Every day, he suffered dozens of injuries. Mana consumption wasn't a concern—the demi-plane was overflowing with magical energy. As for wounds, unless he lost his head, he'd recover quickly.
After a month of tormenting Farrow, combined with research on the Runes of Truth, Farrow's rank soared to Seventh Rank Title Archmage. With Leon's deliberate help, Farrow found it far easier to comprehend the laws within the demi-plane than outside.
When Farrow was finally on the verge of collapse, Leon reluctantly ended the training. He then opened the demi-plane's treasury, letting Farrow choose materials for crafting his own Essence Relic.
Every mage's core meditation law, magical runes, and areas of expertise are different. Add in differences in personality, and no matter what, someone else's Essence Relic can never unleash its full power.
But an Essence Relic forged by oneself is naturally a perfect fit, and in battle, can even exceed one hundred percent of its potential.
Farrow's face was calm as he gazed at Leon's treasury, which looked only a dozen meters wide. But when the doors opened, Farrow was utterly stunned.
Inside, it was like a boundless plaza. Rows upon rows of hundred-meter-high, bookshelf-like structures stood neatly arranged. Even the sky had glowing numbers marking out distinct zones.
At the entrance to the treasury stood a crystal pedestal, with a glowing orb floating above it.
"Place your hand on the orb and see what you need. Anything here that you want, you may take. My suggestion: craft a staff tailored to yourself and two Essence Relics. But how you proceed is for you alone to decide."
After Leon finished speaking, he turned and left. Farrow swallowed hard—he was the director of the Gilded Rose and had seen plenty of treasures, but this treasury left him incredulous.
Especially when he placed his hand on the orb and sensed the information stored within the treasury, Farrow stood there, dazed for several minutes.
"Nether Blackwater, Unicorn Demon's horn, Hellfire Demon's heart... So many top-tier Abyssal materials—search every auction house in Northend World and you still wouldn't find this many premium Abyssal resources...
And these Troy Gems, Bloodstone Gems, Elemental Amber Crystals...
Unbelievable—this is the most complete materials treasury. Damn, there's even Eternal Dark Gold! My god, with such high purity... Did Lord Merlin dig out several large Eternal Dark Gold mines?"
Just organizing the inventory of these materials took Farrow half an hour. Many were unfamiliar to him—he had to read the detailed descriptions to understand them. Most were exclusive to the Abyss, completely unheard of in Northend World.
Abyssal Magisteel, for instance—common in the Abyss, used by any demon building a fortress for foundations and floors. But in Northend World, it's a scarce resource. Not to mention the other materials that have never even appeared in Northend.
Farrow could no longer maintain his composure—he lunged at the materials like a starving wretch confronted with hundreds of tables of the finest delicacies...
Three days later, Farrow left Leon's treasury, arms full of materials and utterly satisfied. To call it a treasury was misleading—it was more like a vault of top-tier resources. For Leon, aside from Mythic Artifacts, only materials were worth collecting...
After all, Leon could forge any Essence Relic he wanted and could create anything he needed himself.
