Restoring Nightfall Starland

12/19/2025

With the Starstream Order under new leadership, Joe Di departed the Central Realm, accompanied by Nina Di.

Neither Debbie Di nor Garrett were present; according to Shannon Wei, both had already ascended to the Immortal Realm. Joe Di had no desire to linger at Starstream Order. He wished to see his master, Quinn Windflower, as soon as possible. Whether or not Nightfall Starland could be restored, he had to return to the Immortal Realm immediately.

...

Atop Magic Garment Mountain, the Artifact Emperor, Ping Ji, strode onto the Dao Debate Platform, still stained with blood. His voice rang out: "After three days of Dao debate, the results of the second round are in. First place: Changsun Huang from Grand Cauldron Free Immortal City and Peace Restaurant. Second: Ai Qingbing of Yaohua Snow Mountain. Third: Zhou Hecen of Moving Sword Immortal Sect. Fourth: Yue He'er of Skycloud Dao. Fifth: Xie Cheng of Star Demon Palace. Now, I invite the champion, Changsun Huang, to enter the Magic Garment Mountain Sanctuary. The allotted time is one month."

As Ping Ji finished, both Blackfire and Changsun Huang rose to their feet in excitement.

Changsun Huang had heard countless tales of the Magic Garment Mountain Sanctuary since childhood. He never imagined he would be the first to enter it; it felt like a dream come true.

Blackfire was equally thrilled. He had already told Changsun Huang what he needed; as long as Changsun Huang returned, Blackfire would surely ascend to the ranks of ninth-tier Immortal Fiend Beasts. Once he reached that tier, he could tear open space and travel wherever he wished.

"Huang'er..." Xie Wanleng's heart was filled with bitterness. He had never expected that his carefully chosen successor, Xie Cheng, would only secure fifth place. It meant all his efforts over the years had been in vain, since even without the contest, he could have at least claimed fifth.

The one he had kicked out—Changsun Huang—was now the champion. There was nothing more ironic in this world than that.

Yet, for the sake of the Extreme Chasm Dao Fruit, he had no choice but to call out to Changsun Huang.

Each time atop Magic Garment Mountain, one or two Extreme Chasm Dao Fruits would appear. These Dao Fruits were the true treasures for stepping beyond the Immortal Emperor stage. For the sake of the Extreme Chasm Dao Fruit, he had no choice but to seek out Changsun Huang.

At this moment, the passage to the Magic Garment Mountain Sanctuary had opened. Changsun Huang stopped, his expression blank as he looked at Xie Wanleng before him.

"I admit I was rather partial toward your brother, Xie Cheng..."

Before Xie Wanleng could finish, Changsun Huang replied calmly, "I have already died once. My life now does not belong to Star Demon Palace, but to my elder brother who saved me. Ever since my mother was imprisoned in the dungeon and I died once, I no longer bear the Xie surname, nor do I have any connection to Star Demon Palace."

With those words, Changsun Huang did not wait for Xie Wanleng's reply. His figure flashed as he charged straight into the sanctuary.

...

Joe Di sent Nina Di into the True Spirit World, instructing her to continue her secluded cultivation. Then he tore open the interface and descended above the Polar Night Ruins.

His divine sense swept downward. Quinn Windflower hung his head; if not for Joe Di's overwhelming cultivation, he would scarcely be able to sense Quinn Windflower's vitality.

Yet Joe Di knew well that in Quinn Windflower's current state, he could not possibly endure for hundreds more years.

Joe Di cast out several Array Banners, even producing a few mid-grade immortal veins and placing them deep within Nightfall Starland.

Under the deliberate guidance of Vivian Ho, Nightfall Starland was split by Quinn Windflower into Aurora Continent and Veil Continent. Quinn Windflower, burdened with guilt, locked himself beneath the Polar Night Ruins, striving to restore Nightfall Starland.

Yet Quinn Windflower's strength was limited, and repairing the broken laws of a continent required not only cultivation, but a profound understanding of the world's rules. Clearly, Quinn Windflower still had far to go.

The Nightfall Starland that Joe Di had once repaired now bore a new crack above the Polar Night Ruins. Though the fissure was less than half a meter wide, it was clear that with time, it would only grow larger.

Joe Di's divine sense enveloped Nightfall Starland. Back then, he had no idea where to begin the restoration, and could only follow Quinn Windflower's instructions, barely helping to reunite the two halves of Nightfall Starland—a solution that was hardly more than a temporary fix.

But today, as his divine sense wrapped around the entire Nightfall Starland, he detected countless broken laws of heaven and earth, and swiftly began repairing them.

At this moment, cultivators from both Aurora Continent and Veil Continent could clearly sense the world's laws becoming more distinct, spiritual energy no longer dissipating, and even growing more concentrated.

Some reclusive cultivators who had long been unable to advance burst out in shock, murmuring as they gazed at the horizon, "Is someone restoring Nightfall Starland?"

More cultivators simply sat down and began cultivating with fervor. Those who had been stagnant for years now found their progress accelerating. Many broke through into the Void Spirit Stage and Seabreaker Stage...

A rare few veteran Tribulation King Stage experts even began to break through to the Transforming True Stage.

The heavens and earth roared with thunder, and even a fool could tell that someone was truly restoring Nightfall Starland.

Nightfall Starland was on the verge of returning to its pre-shattered state. No longer would it be unqualified to advance to the Transforming True Stage; Nightfall Starland would stand equal to the other continents, becoming a true cultivation starland.

Excitement and joy swept across Nightfall Starland. In this moment, there was no division between Aurora Continent and Veil Continent.

...

At the bottom of the ruins, Quinn Windflower, head bowed, seemed startled awake by something. Suddenly, he looked up toward the sky above the ruins.

Ever since he had asked Joe Di to help with the initial restoration of Nightfall Starland, his cultivation had declined severely. Now, he could barely protect himself.

Though his divine sense could not detect Joe Di, Quinn Windflower knew someone was restoring Nightfall Starland. It was the task he had always attempted, but never completed.

After splitting Nightfall Starland, guilt had plagued him ever since. From that moment on, his heart was tormented—he had cleaved his own homeworld in two, the most ungrateful act imaginable.

As he sensed the laws of heaven and earth growing ever clearer, and Nightfall Starland healing faster and faster, Quinn Windflower trembled with excitement.

So long as Nightfall Starland was restored, even if he were to perish immediately, he would have no regrets.

But who was restoring Nightfall Starland? Who could possibly restore Nightfall Starland?

Only he and Joe Di had ever repaired Nightfall Starland, and it had only been a mere two hundred years since. There was no way Joe Di could be restoring Nightfall Starland now. It wasn't that Joe Di was untrustworthy, but even with his talent, in just two centuries, he could not possibly be qualified to repair Nightfall Starland.

To restore Nightfall Starland, even an Immortal Emperor might not be qualified. It required not just cultivation, but a profound grasp of the laws of heaven and earth. Not even Joe Di, nor Quinn Windflower at his peak, would be qualified to restore Nightfall Starland.

The reason he refused to leave was mostly guilt. He only hoped that when the day came for Nightfall Starland to finally collapse in the universe, he, Quinn Windflower, would perish alongside it.

Now that someone really was restoring Nightfall Starland, how could he not be shocked?

Boom! Boom! Boom! Thunderous roars echoed endlessly, and Quinn Windflower felt the laws of heaven and earth becoming ever clearer, even sensing their pressure upon him.

In this moment, he was not frightened by the suppression, but overwhelmed by a joy that welled up from the depths of his soul. He even wanted to howl in exultation.

Just then, a clear voice rang out: "I am Joe Di, of Starstream Order, from Nightfall Starland. On behalf of my master, Quinn Windflower, I have restored Nightfall Starland. Now it is fully repaired, with no more barriers in the laws of heaven and earth for cultivation. I hope everyone will cherish their starland and refrain from senseless destruction..."

As his final words fell, Joe Di cast out several top-grade Array Banners, completely stabilizing Nightfall Starland.

In that moment, every cultivator in Nightfall Starland bowed toward the void. Countless wept tears of gratitude; even the most ruthless among them were deeply moved by Joe Di's kindness.

For Joe Di had given them hope, and the possibility of pursuing the Dao.

Some cultivators even remembered who Joe Di was—it was he who had first restored Nightfall Starland, making their gratitude all the deeper.

Quinn Windflower trembled with excitement. He had not misjudged Joe Di—it really was him, it truly was Joe Di who had come. No matter how Joe Di had managed it, even if he died now, he would have no regrets.

(That's all for today's update. Good night, friends!)
