Do You Hate Me That Much

1/11/2026

However, just as the Heavensnare Saintess leapt three meters into the air, more than a dozen S-Type Zombies of sixth tier or higher suddenly sprang up from the zombie horde.

Up to now, zombies have generally split into three main types: mental, power, and speed.

Ian Song named them J-Type Zombies, L-Type Zombies, and S-Type Zombies, respectively.

Each type of zombie follows a different evolutionary path.

J-Type Zombies, as they evolve, develop increasingly powerful mental abilities.

L-Type Zombies, on the other hand, evolve towards greater strength.

Naturally, S-Type Zombies evolve in terms of speed.

A sixth-tier S-Type Zombie is already extremely fast—its movement is barely a blur to the naked eye. Still, while their speed is impressive, their strength falls short; at best, a sixth-tier S-Type Zombie is equal to a first-stage Innate martial artist.

Seeing more than a dozen S-Type Zombies darting toward her, the Heavensnare Saintess’s face changed dramatically.

"Heavensnare Violet Sword!"

A jeweled short sword suddenly appeared in her hand. As she called out, the sword lashed out in all directions with blinding speed.

"Puff, puff, puff, puff!"

Over a dozen streaks of violet sword energy shot out, instantly piercing through the skulls of the charging S-Type Zombies.

After clearing out the S-Type Zombies blocking her way, the Heavensnare Saintess forcefully gathered her Gang Qi, steadied herself in midair, and once again darted toward the street.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"

But just then, four even faster shadows lunged at her.

They were still S-Type Zombies, but these four were seventh-tier.

"Damn it!"

The Heavensnare Saintess cursed under her breath and swung her short sword again.

Violet sword energy sprayed out as she instantly cut down all four seventh-tier S-Type Zombies. However, after slaying these four, she could no longer keep herself suspended in midair.

"Roar! Roar!"

As her body descended, countless zombies below sprang up, lunging at her.

"Die, all of you!"

With a crisp shout, the Heavensnare Saintess swung her jeweled short sword again and again, decapitating zombies one after another and sending their heads rolling to the ground.

But after slaying those zombies, the last of her Gang Qi was exhausted, and she landed back on the ground.

"Not good! Protect the Saintess, now!"

The four Snare Guards, seeing this, instantly leapt to her side and blocked the zombies surging toward her.

"No!"

Watching the four Snare Guards leave her side, Bella Bi’s face turned hopeless.

She drew her own weapon—a short dagger—and, facing the surrounding zombies, began slashing wildly to kill them.

But human strength has its limits—especially since her cultivation was far inferior to the Heavensnare Saintess and the four Snare Guards.

After killing more than a hundred zombies, she was finally swallowed up by the horde.

A few meters away, the Heavensnare Saintess glanced back with a hint of guilt, but her expression quickly turned cold.

She darted forward once more, heading for the buildings along the street.

"Whoosh!"

Her movement technique was so fast that she became almost a white blur at full speed.

But just three meters ahead, six more shadows charged at her, moving just as quickly.

"Damn it! How is this possible!"

She had a feeling these zombies were being controlled by someone, targeting her specifically and giving her no chance to escape.

Her eyes flashed with icy light as she cut down six more seventh-tier zombies, but as she tried to flee, two more blocked her path.

These two zombies were even faster; she couldn't even track their movements.

With no other choice, she landed again and called out, "Snare Guards, help me!"

After this fierce battle, the four Snare Guards were greatly depleted; their Gang Qi was down to less than thirty percent.

Their duty was to protect the Saintess. Even though she had abandoned them, they could not forget their responsibility.

All four leapt up at once, heading for the Heavensnare Saintess.

But at that moment, dozens of S-Type Zombies burst out of the horde, intercepting the four with a thunderous crash.

Seeing the four Snare Guards blocked, a look of fierce resolve flashed in the Heavensnare Saintess's eyes. She drew a violet jade bottle from her robes.

Inside the bottle was a single pill.

This pill was called the Burst Origin Pill, obtained from an ancient ruin. After taking it, one's power would explode tenfold, but only for a brief span—about half an incense stick. Once the effect faded, the user would be left weak and need at least half a month to recover. So unless it was a critical moment, the Heavensnare Saintess would never dare take it.

She poured out the Burst Origin Pill and hesitated for a heartbeat, but finally swallowed it.
